what made this show special...it runs fast. so much happens and keeps you on edge. the timing of epic battles arent predictable. they can happen in a blink. its raw, violent, snappy, sexy and just plain crazy.
The fight choreography is on the same level if not better than Daredevil. Major props to Antony Starr, I had no idea he was this physical capable in a show.
Rabbit was a boring character. I cringed every time he was on. Ana/ Carrie got on my nerves. But I understand why we needed those characters. Other than that this show was top notch.
Yeah I thought Ana/Carrie character was completely unbelievable. 110 lbs woman beating up all those huge men. Plus she only ever seemed to have one expression on her face. I also agree with you about Rabbit , I didn't find him intimidating , formidable or scary like I did a lot of the other villains , he was really weak and too much time was lost on him. But it was a fantastic show and glad I watched it. Just wrapped up watching it again and have seen it three times since it aired
@@laurarules3642 I was so engrossed by the politics in season 2 between Proctor and Alex, and the whole Indians and 'the white man' thing that whenever someone mentioned Rabbit I was thinking 'Oh, yeah, he's still there, isn't he? I wish his arc would have been resolved earlier because by season 2 I wasn't interested in him anymore. Plus, Carrie felt like completely unnecessary after they defeated him. She was just kinda there and did not care about her one bit.
@thedarkknight241 Pretty much agree on both points. Rabbit never felt as important as Kai Proctor. For me, they could have wrapped up his arc in two episodes and I would have been okay with it. And Ana/Carrie’s “superpowers”, and “Mary Sue-like” plot armor, often made me cringe. I eventually just embraced that as one of the show’s over-the-top ridiculous tropes. But it almost always took me just a bit out of the show. But with a show with so much going for it, I just grew to accept it as flaw in a masterpiece. Like in a previous gemstone. Or someone I love.
Thanks for doing this great review. Just finished binging it, and I have to admit, though often over-the-top and ridiculous, it completely won me over. The perfect pulp-fiction show. Like if Robert E. Howard and Hunter Thompson had a love child and a big budget.
Great review man! I'm looking into starting this show in a couple of days, hearing way too many good things so it seems hard to pass it, I'm looking forward to it!
Such a brilliant show. I'm half way through Season 2 now and I am absolutely astonished by it. It is so captivating and engrossing and may even be taking over Arrow now ;)
I caught Banshee late, long after it aired, but I don't watch tv, I found out about it by accident on the internet. To cut a long story short, I saw a lot of images of it online and grew ever curious and it kept cropping up and so I thought I should check it out. I ordered it on blu ray, as the blu ray was cheaper than the four season dvd pack and it arrived late, but it arrived. Frankly, I have not been blown away by a pilot like that since NYPD Blue and Banshee makes NYPD Blue look tame. I'd had it with NYPD Blue, because the last two seasons on dvd let me down badly and I guess I was looking for something great and new. Along comes Banshee and I looked at an episode every night in the week and couldn't wait for the next one. Every episode was amazing and there isn't a single episode which is not jam packed with everything. I was very surprised when I later learned or realised that not even that many people know about it! But even though this show is underrated, I strongly believe that will be its greatest strength and a key to its longevity. More and more are going to discover it and they too will be blown away by it. That's the stuff that legends are made of. As you may have guessed, I am a HUGE Banshee fan and want to talk about it with so many other fans, but to my knowledge there is no club and I am not on any social media or anything. I have done a video on my channel, but it's had minimal views. I have seen it through all four season nine times by the way and I still want to see it again and again. For me, with its amazing content, not shy about sexuality or amazing fight scenes, this is the greatest show to air for the twentieth century and it puts my former favourite, NYPD Blue in the shade. I sold them all. Sure, I like Ray Donovan and Strike Back too, both which I have on dvd, but Banshee stands head and shoulders above them all.
Strike Back is awesome too especially seasons 2 til 6. Banshee is simply amazing !! Its my favorite show of all time. I watch it every 3 months or so. Lol
Everything about the show was perfect in my opinion atleast the the first 3 seasons. Bunker was really the only thing that made season 4 good. My only complaint is I wish we got more of the Albino and the Indian Women ( I cant think of her name for some reason ) that fought Burton ( Proctors watch dog ). All the characters were great, the story telling kept you interested, the action was some of the best and the sex/ nudity was outstanding especially all of the women were absolutely gorgeous. Again just my opinion
The acting, the dialogue, the characters, the plot, damn near everything about this show is so cheesy and poorly written but it’s the most entertaining show I’ve seen in years. I’m hooked on this.
We need more people talking about banshee it was awesome

The soundtrack. The use of ambient music and the playlist, stands out.

Banshee is one of the best shows I've ever seen. This show should be way more popular.

Wasn't expecting you to say that :o it definitely gets better every season ;)
Well I have to speak the truth here :)
Funny to hear you make that comparison, I felt like the shows were similar in a lot of ways.

This is one of the most mind numbingly stupid shows ever made. But I can’t stop watching it😂
I loved this show!! But they ended it well and didn't ruin it by cash grabbing
Have you seen Hoon Lee in warrior

Sugar was a former boxing champion, not a wrestler. Ex con was screwed over by Rabbit and Anna fled. JOB was his tech man. 10 years not 15 in prison.
It was 15 years in jail tho Ex con and Ana robbed Rabbit but they didn’t know the diamond where fake.
@@JusDarkSage It was 10 years, any guesses to what Hood's real name was?
@@brianlogan4243 it was 15 years go back to season 1 both job and Hood state this

Any other recommendations? On Netflix
try "strikeback" not on netflix though. it has been re-booted 3 times. first wave was ok, but 2nd run and 3rd are spectacular.
