Just found this video, and wanted to say thank you! I recently discovered that I wanted to pursue an MPH instead of a degree in Education (I'm interested in sexual health education), and I've honestly been feeling really lost ahead of the MPH Application process. What I want to study is really aligned with what Brennah said she's studying, so it was especially helpful to hear about her experiences in the program. Thank you so much again! I'm heading over to your Grad School playlist now to learn more 😁
This is a very honest conversation. I recently got into Boston University’s MPH program and I am really glad I stumbled upon your video. I’d surely keep some things you shared in there with me as I navigate my public health journey. This video was very helpful 😊
That is a great idea! Keep an eye out for that in the next couple weeks, but for now, I will say that there is no official dress code at Columbia's Public Health school so people are dressed fairly casually most of the time.
Really helpful video! What options does the Mailman MPH Program offers if you are interested in public health Nutrition? What would be the ideal certificate to get into? Good luck in everything!
I believe Columbia has a specific nutrition program that is fairly well-known. Otherwise, if you really wanted to pursue the MPH, I think you could choose any specialization and apply it to nutrition.
I thought this video was really helpful because I’m looking into pursuing an mph. I’m originally a sociology major and after taking a medical sociology course I really want to get into public health especially in epidemiology. I was just wondering if students need public health experience to get in and to be a successful candidate.
what would you advise for someone who does not have a bachelors in public health (ex. economics) and work experience in the health industry? should they consider applying for the mph?

I'm so glad it was helpful!
i know it's quite randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released tv shows online?
@Westley Alfonso Lately I have been using flixzone. You can find it on google :)
@Anthony Drew definitely, been watching on FlixZone for months myself :D
@Anthony Drew thank you, I signed up and it seems to work :) I appreciate it!!
Super helpful thanks! Could you do a video on your personal statement for the application?
I'm planning a video on application tips that will include personal statement tips so keep an eye out for that ☺️
What would you say general dress code is like? Can you do an outfits of the week/outfit ideas for class video?

Love thiss video 💖
Aw, yay! I’m glad you liked it 💕
Thank you so much! Do you think you can make a video on how to apply for public health grad school?
Hey Tatiana! I have a whole series on this in my “grad school” playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PL83qAgfKI-NUN8M5d6oBT7yXxI_zq7lCy.html
Thank you so much for this.

could you talk about your job search? I'm an upcoming MPH student and I'm anxious about the job search process!
I can certainly make a video about job searches! Are you interested in the practicum search or job search after graduation?
bump this question too. With the instability brought by coronavirus curious how job listing and searching will change.
Michael is right. Just because there's lots of opportunities doesn't mean it will fall into your lap.
Yes! 100%
i loved this! do you know anything ab the 5yr ba/mph programs?
I don't know too much about the 5 year programs! Sorry I couldn't be more help

I’m glad you found it helpful! And no need to have direct public health experience to get in to an MPH. Just show your passion on your application!

MPH programs accept students with all types of undergrad backgrounds!
