If I'm not mistaken, you a draining the rear differential. Not the transfer case. Your video helped me do mine. I am seeking a transfer case video, any ideas?

Could you tell if the system was smoother or any difference in the performance?
Well you can't blame Jiffy Lube or ANY of those oil change joints. I mean you don't really think they check all the thing's they say they do.😆😆
Make sure when they change any fluid that you check to see if they put fluid back in this includes oil changes! Yes, I have seen the oil drained and not replaced. I always check the dip stick after an oil change. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it greatly. All the best.
Do these plugs use crush washers?
That fill plug was tight, and the drain was ok, that says to me it had been checked by a gorilla, just checked what gear and diff oil my BM takes diff 80/90, manual gearbox MTF LT 1 BMW lifetime oil LOL.
It certainly was way too tight. Fortunately it was not damaged, from what I could see. More reason to do the work yourself so you know it's done right. Are you going to change it? I am interested in knowing what it looks like. It is a manual transmission which probably means the clutch is external. It should be fairly clean but I am sure there is metal filings on the drain plug. Thanks
Richard Lloyd Most garage mechanics don`t take enough care, ive had several new cars serviced by Ford. One got it home checked the engine oil level and the diip stick was broken, another first engine oil change after waranty i did, i had to chisel the sump plug off, the metal is so soft (common problem) and was it done up tight, another charged for diesel fuel filter change but not done, re my previous comment i can easily do a nut up too tight, and break dip sticks
re gearbox oil, im only 60.000mls so not at the moment, i trust BMW lifetime oil : ), THANKS FOR THE REPLIES.
