Love all of your videos and they are very insightful. I'm in similar situation, older & non-native speaker. Just started studying BEC last week. I know doing the MCQ is very important but it takes me very long time to do it. I don't know how to improve the speed. Like today, I just finished 20 MCQ in 1.5 hours BEC1 including reading the answers. thank you!
Thank you for your comments! I also struggled and took long time to answer MCQs initially. It just takes practice, and you will get faster. I usually did just 10 questions at a time when I was slow. Anyway, best of luck on your journey!
Wow amazing contents on BEC and studying strategies. BEC will be my first section this upcoming January and I know your videos will be essential along the way. Thank you so much!
@@sugarcpaus2091 Thank you. 16 days left now! Looking to just meet the mark. I received my accounting degree this May so I'm hoping it all will not be too cloudy for me. I'll start with 6 hours a day and work my way up to full-time or more! Need a tally counter to keep track of my 50 MCQ wrong a day for this workout😁
Can I ask how the actual exam was compared to Ninja Review? I bought Ninja because I failed with a 70 using becker. Becker question seems so length. Although I have been averaging 70's on ninja MCQs I felt it was straight forward.
That's a tough question... I liked Roger since it had the same look and feel as the actual exam. I though Ninja was good for the price as a secondary test bank. It did feel that Roger was lengthy as well. But some questions in the actual exam were lengthy too, so I think practicing lengthy questions can help. They say that if you got 70, it could've gone either way, and you were probably just unlucky on the questions that you had to guess. I do recommend Ninja as the secondary test bank.
Thank you for sharing ! after watching video, how many MC did you solve a day ? when did you start to shuffle MC and to solve simulations ? Thank you for your tips !
Thank you for your comment and questions. I started with 10 questions at a time, then increased to 20, then to 30 as I got more comfortable. And when I felt comfortable with 30, I started doing simulations. Good luck, and please let me know if you have further questions!
@@sugarcpaus2091Thank you for your advice !! After you watched all videos, did you start to solve MC shuffled, or solve by each chapter? I remember you increased MC up to 100 a day (FAR) did you do the same way?

And yes, I did 100 or more a day when I got used to it, broken down into 3 or 4 sets of 30 questions. I did that for all sections. Hope this answers your question, but please let me know if you have further questions. If it's easier, you can write to me in Japanese too :)

I studied for the past 2 weeks, didnt study efficiently since I slacked off during weekdays. But I finished Coso ( excluding ERM), and section 2. I use Wiley so they divided into 5 sections. I only watched videos on chapter I didnt understand well on reading txtbook, and take notes while reading, do MCQ, go back and review notes on wrong questions. It’s getting harder to comprehend the concepts and lot of more things to remember and understand and I feel lost. My exam is coming Sept 29, I literally have 14 days left. I work 10hr/ day, 4 weekdays so I could have 3 days off. I would try to do all videos and just do mcq as you said and notes on wrong questions. But how did you remember the calculations just by watching videos? And if you didn’t, what did you do on MCQs which requires equations and fomulas to solve it? It looks like I would have to go back and read txt for every wrong answer on calculations MCQ
I think I answered your question in the other thread, but please let me know again if it's unclear. What helped me a lot was that I didn't have a full-time job. 10hrs/day for 4 days a week is basically full-time, so it must be much harder for you. Can you take some time off? or move the exam date?
@@sugarcpaus2091 yes it was me. I realized I left a message on other video as well. I could but don’t want to since I used all of my day off for family emergencies during summer. Do you think 15 days is enough to cover Financial management, IT and operations management modules?
I'm sorry to hear that. I think CPA exam requires a lot of memorization. I have a video on memorization technique, and that might help. Good luck on the retake!
I think any of the major ones are good (Becker, Wiley, Roger, etc.) And I thought Ninja and Kesler are good supplemental courses. I used Roger as the main and Ninja and Kesler as supplement. Roger is really funny and passionate, which was very important for me because I can't concentrate otherwise. But I believe Becker has better materials.
There are some sample questions, but that's only like 5 questions per section. That's the only free material that I know. There are some inexpensive review courses like Ninja and Kesler.
Hello SUGAR CPA, we spoke a little on the FAR video comment section. I take BEC on the 13th of September. I finished watching all the videos and have done about 600 questions on the ROGER CPA review so far. I take sets of 31 MCQ's and get around 20-22 questions correct which is 65-70%. I have done a few TBS and was able to answer parts of them correctly. What was your MCQ's % correct when you sat for the exams? I think you mentioned 80%? What do you think is the best use of my time? Read the textbook or watch cram course videos that are around 10 hours long? I will finish the remaining 400 questions as well. I have 6 days left so roughly 35 hours available for studying. 20 of those hours will be used for MCQs. I work part-time just as you did when you took your exams. Do you think 70-75% correct on MCQ's will be enough to pass?
Thank you for your questions again. You are correct, I was over 80% when I sat for the BEC exam. I think it makes sense to spend majority of your time on MCQ's. I would also 1) do as many TBS's, 2) take AICPA sample test, and 3) continue taking notes on the questions you missed and read it the next day (as per my memorization technique video). In my case, I would be done watching all the cram videos at this point, but if not, I would just watch the weak areas. I do think if you can get it up to 70-75%, you have a very good chance to pass. I hope it's clear, but please let me know otherwise. And good luck on your exam! You got this!!
@@sugarcpaus2091 Thank you for your response. I am going to take AICPA sample test on Saturday. The one thing I haven't done is take notes on the questions I missed.
