Why no vampiric embrace or silence? At level 30 you can pick one of these two which would be very useful vs druid. Silence out of the cat form into a fear. Two interrupts basically. Awesome duels tho, finally some shadow priest action
Don’t Mind Blast when theyre right next to you. Better to spam Mind Flay. I used to always make that same mistake because its tempting to use Mind Blast.
Without Shadow Reach, a lot of the time your enemy is too far away to get off the Mind Blast. Keep in mind this is level 30 pvp and not level 60. I'm aware that Mind Blast breaks fear easier than Mind Flay, but I do it for a reason. Now that I actually have Reach I do the other.
Tip vs meele: After you dot, shield and renew try spamming Touch of Weakness - it can do some great damage especially vs warriors, tested it out already, cheers.
Unless fighting another undead you should probably not mind blast directly after fear. I know how tempting it is but big dmg attacks just snap them out of fear too early.. prolly better just wand and regen mana..

I just came from Bfa, as a 120 shadowpriest and i love the bursty dotty insanity system, I was now thinking trying out SP in vanilla as well but it seems less dotty, less bursty and instead more just relying on wand and surviving. Is this true? Should i maybe roll a lock if I want the equivalent of a Bfa SP ?

Yes, I'm doing it to proc blackout as well as to bait kicks. Wanding is really broken on beta right now and doesn't work half the time as well so sometimes it feels better to Flay.
@@Kalattv I'm glad I'm not going crazy, I've felt that wanding has been a bit weird as well and doesn't go off half the time I hit it if I punch it too soon within 1/4 of a second of the GCD ending. I hadn't seen anyone else mention it until I read this.
you need to work on your manamanagement , casting swp that wouldn't kill your target while you have no mana and health left is really strange decision since you are braking 5 sec rule with it and basically forfeit with that cast. Just run for fear cd and delay next mana spending cast as long as possible.
Higher ranks of fear only increase the number of targets affected, so for duels you only use rank 1, and for world PvP and BGs you have rank 1 + rank 4 bound.

If so you can 1. say how irrelevant lvl 30 duels in vanilla are and 2. that bandages and engineering definetly played a role in arena on the highest level (which this is absolutely not). 5 unbreakable 4 wand 3 shield 2 mart 1 inner focus 4 mental agility 2 improved manaburn OR give up improve mana burn for blackout renew inner-fire 70% push-back on heals; Less push back less mana wasted more damage faster with Marty or if you pick up 2/2 for heal push back is nice maybe for troll clutch berserk mode! Mana burn is good against some classes don't u get mind control at level 30, try using it once u dot them up walk the mage into your fear haha anyways keep posting videos sorry for spam, I purely go SHADOW ftw but if your wanting to win either this or go full shadow with silence, Also you save shit ton of mana if you went with my spec inner focus + devour 300 mana + 8 - 10% on instant cast ; shield that is like 40 per shield and Shadow Word Pain Renew, a chance of a crit if ur devour on cd with a heal or mb. Also the Unbreakable is really good with Marty if you read the effect to bad orc isn't a option or be op You need more mana and I think this spec for your level for dueling gives u more mana so more damage also u could bate out level 1 shields against a shaman or another priest. Yes, it was so bad. My second duel against Payo I analyzed on my stream, not only that but I didn't PW:S when I had 2 free globals. It was an awful performance of mine and that's why I put it in the video :) Maybe next video I'll analyze my duels instead!

Priests are highly wand dependant in PvP and PvE, it's like that in classic. + you need mana for barrier spam so you can negate damage, you are a squishy target as a priest otherwise.
Shadow Priests are 1v1 gods in Vanilla. This guy isn't bad, but it isn't even his final form. PS try spamming low rank touch of weakness to proc blackout vs melee for the lulz PPS remember to reapply Inner Fire
you know how fear works? low ticks of damage dont break fear, so its best to mind flay after a fear than finish it of with mind blast. other wise mind blast can break fear right away.
Yea, they are. I find them to be the most complete class in vanilla. Any cons they have you just make up by try harding ex: Hunters you pot the mana sting, you pre-pot the restorative thing to dispel your trap or use your skull of impending doom to damage yourself. Use invulnerability pot vs warrior's recklessness etc etc, there's a bunch of outplaying you can do. The best priest spec is holy/disc one.
They're really quite strong, just get yourself a Greater Magic Wand from the auction house, put your first 5 talent points in Wand Spec, then the next 5 on Spirit Tap and you're good to go. Basically no downtime between mobs and decent kill time
why are you turning your back? it seems like it makes your cast to not be hindered, is that the case? you cant dodge while having your back against them ^^
not sure about renew+PWS against feral instead of Heal - yeah it will take more time because of pushbacks but might be much more mana efficient. Still don't think that's possibru to win a good feral cause all his damage is free. Shamans must be mana burned, u have time for 1-2 burns then ez win if there're no too many WF procs. Last duel is a meme till WotLK.
Very true. I'm going to do my best to try setting up Shaman for burns in the future. They're my hardest duel because even OOM they have a chance of 1 hitting me with a gnarly WF proc.

Druids are easy to kill as priest. You fear them while out of form and get mana burns. You dont waste your mana, just use wand and shield on you they can't do shit. when they are finally out of mana spam smite with dots ez win. if forsaken always use inner focus for the Devouring Plague cause its like 800 mana at level 60.

Mana burn shamans! 😂 I spent half my time as a priest melting faces in BGs. A lot of the problems in the vid become face rolls in BG gear at lv 60.

Doesnt touch of weakness has 2min cooldown so it cant be spammed? Long time ago.
@@NoFix it had a 2 minute duration in vanilla but no cooldown. The other Undead Priest racial, Devouring Plague, had a 3 minute cooldown.
