Feeder Wagon Wheel Bearing Replacement/Spreading Some Manure

- Опубліковано 6 бер 2024
- It's voting day in Minnesota, so while Jen is serving as an election judge, Alan and the boys are going to replace some wheel bearings on the feeder wagon. Justin is learning how to replace the bearings, so he is Alan's right-hand man. After the bearings are replaced, Alan and Justin quickly head out to spread some of the big chunks of manure in the hay field. Just like that, it was chore time again.

Great job helping your dad young man
I grew up on a farm and being the first and oldest son I got all that good teaching, so it’s nice to see you with your son. There’s nothing like farm life. I’m celebrating my 77th birthday today as a retired marriage and family therapist and as a Pastor for many years. I love how you and your wife work with and teach your children so many Christian values and life lessons.
A day well spent teaching the boys something they will use the rest of their lives. This is better than any school day would have taught them. Great job Dad !! Thank you to your wife for working at the election.
That was great to see father and son working together. The next generation is well taught. Moments go by so fast. Stay safe, and God bless.
Justin, get your dad to have exclusively INTERNATIONAL equipment. RED POWER!!!
That is still the best way to pack bearings!
Doing awesome with the boys thanks for all your post be safe god bless
Awesome Boy's "wheels bearing " Farmers. 👏👏👏👍 Thank you. (N.G Ind. )
Great to see you teaching your kids how to grease a bearing. I have seen various ways to grease bearings, you are the first person to pack them the way I was taught, way to go.
Awesome video, thanks passing values and work ethic along. Blessings to you all!!
Those boys learned more working a day with dad then they would in two days of school. Nice to see dad taking the time to teach his sons.
Great job spreading manure Justin
Ag mechanics 101 with Alan, Good job Dad. Life lessons I learned from my Dad, This will help with future 4H & FFA contests...
Well done Alan pretty cool how all the others were watching also. You have some good help coming up that is for sure.
Good job in teaching your son. That is how they will stay interested in helping.
Great job dad teaching Justin, even the other 2 where looking over the shoulders, taking it all in. Love that little tractor, seems to run well and capable for tasks. Shout out from Gierok Farm...and noticed Justin @22:01 sporting Gieroks' hat😊. Seemed little chill, but nice day to do outdoor chores. Thanks for sharing, always enjoy your videos. Stay well be safe and God Bless you all. BTW. always look forward to your next videos.
I love your videos, such a good teacher and such a willing student. Keep the videos coming.
Love how you're teaching your kids how to do maintenance!!
Warms my heart!
Well done on the bearings. Glad to see you put a new seal on the back.
I really liked how you were teaching the boy. Explained everything well. Didn’t talk down to him so he was comfortable and then got him to have a go. That’s a good Dad. 👍🇦🇺
Great job fixing the bearings
Love watching the boys helping out they will be good farmers like yourself.
Lessons they will never forget.
hey Alan you are awesome at explaining that stuff to your kids, thanks for sharing your day!
great boys, you can be proud of that . Greets from Austria 👋👍👍👍👍👍
Nice to see teaching young people to work and not afraid to try do not stop teaching they are the future.
Good to see the kids learning how to repair things on the farm. I agree don’t stand next to the tractor to start it. To many accidents happen that way god bless.
Your a good dad. With a lot of good helpers
Impacts have changed the technique of breaking the lugs loose prior to jacking. I love the battery impacts! Nice work guys!
There was a lot of production and learning today on the farm and I am very impressed by that young men!
You're a good instructor! The kids are learning.
Your videos are so realistic. Thank you for letting the kids be part of the operation of your farm. God Bless
Good job on fixing up the wagon ya'll! 🐄🐃🐂
Nice job on fixing the feed wagon. On the last video we like to see the cattle try to eat when the trailer is moving. Back in the late 60s here in Isanti County we had about 700 head of cattle that we Fed dad use to park a tractor in one off the pens and run a electric fence to it and then we would watch the cattle lick the tractor, they never learned not to lick it. It good to teach your son how to do things
I always love it when you have the kids in the videos. Such a precious family
Enjoy your videos so much. Thank you for posting and being an encouragement to our family
As always Alan another cool video keep em coming buddy!

No matter how long a fellow has been fixing stuff, its always good to pick up local (Minnesota) tips and tricks.
🤣👍👌
TEACHING THEM RIGHT ANOTHER VERY INTERESTING VIDEO THANK YOU GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Alan, I want you think about what you are giving your children. They clearly understand the value and necessity of hard work to be successful in life and your lessons are something they'll remember the rest of their lives. Personally, I love the way you farm. For you folks, its still a way of life. Yes, you have to balance the books, but when the bills are paid and you're living the life you envisioned, there's nothing better than that. God Bless You All!!
Great to see you passing along knowledge to your sons. Good to see them take interest in learning how to do some maintenance work, that is awesome.
That is so great of your to teach your boys how to do thing on the farm. When I was their age on the farm I never got to learn things like that.
Good job gentlemen. I love seeing you teach your family how to fix your own stuff. Best way they can learn is hands on
just leaving a comment for the channel
Thanks!
Love your video keep up good work
Nice showing the son the mechanics of wheel bearings and I know you probably have other comments on starting tractors not sitting on the seat just lately my friend did that in his shop and it pinned him against shop wall lucky his son was there to quickly kill the eng keep up great job
Great to see the boys interested in the work to be done. You are a great teacher.
At least U didn't show him how to miss the punch and hit your knuckles! LOL
Learned of your channel from another channel. Grew up on small grain farm in northern Indiana so love watching!
Jen, you should do a video on the chickens
Great to see the young boys learning how to do the chores of a man. Reminds me of learning with dad growing up. Great video, enjoy the channel. God bless from southern Indiana
Wow spring already, nice. Spring in Colorado is sting a month away.great to see the day to day tasks
Justin may have had the day off from school but he was still learning and he is turning into a great helper for you and the family.
I love the Minnesota parts washer.
"I voted" good to see you got out to vote.
Great Video Love Your Involvement of Teaching The Younger Boy's How to Do Matinace on The Farm Equipment Got To Keep The Wheels Turning Feed The Cows They Make The Check I Really Like Watching Justin Spreading Manure And His Involvement on The Farm each Has Their Own Chores I Enjoy Watching Them All Thanks Blessings And Please Be Safe ✌️
Alan it would have been easier to do the bearings yourself or simply show the boys how to do it. You took the time to let him do it himself. You are a great father
Thank you!
Nice to see your boys interested and learning how things work. Putting things back together. 😊
Great video as usual. Thank you for sharing.
Good job teaching the kids. Show them how then let them do it. Little Mister Joseph looked like he ready for his turn too. I learned a but too. Maybe the next time my dust cap won’t look I used a jack hammer on it.
Great video Alan
Saw Geirok farm's wearing your logo'ed shirt! Keep on communicating with each other....good folk on both ends!
It’s great your teaching your boys the mechanics on equipment
Nice to see a father teaching his son.
Dairy farmer’s work is never done. Always something to do……..
Sweet sounding rooster!! I always like a rooster with a nice WAKE UP call!!!
Nice "tutorial" on packing bearings. Justin is fortunate to have such a good teacher. My dad was also a carpenter and taught me the basics of woodworking which does come in handy at times. I hope your manure-wads break down sufficiently. Take care and be careful around all that machinery.
Nice job guys, that B is a little giant!!
Loving this, I remember getting my first lesson on re/packing bearing, a long time ago. At the time I did not know the importance of maintenance, it seems like the boys are taking it in.... GOOD JOB.... btim south west pa
Great video kids helped and learn somethings
Thanks for sharing. Your son is a fast learner and a great listener. He just jumped into it and did it. He has a great teacher as you did im sure his Grandfather shares his knowledge too. Your B is a strong runner. I wounder if the guy who designed it knew it still be working years later?
I live in north central Texas and we had over two inches of rain today we sure needed it
Glad to hear that!
Your doing good young man
Glad you got to vote, we did too! 👍👏🐄
Trump, Trump, Trump!
When my Dad changed oil he would let it drip drain for a few hours to get as much as possible of the dregs (the remnants of a liquid left in a container, together with any sediment ) out of the oil pan. Makes sense to me but then again that's what the filter is for is to capture the small particles in the dregs so it was probably overkill.
l love watching your videos you should be very proud of your kids when then take a interest in jobs around the farm and wanting doing chores on the farm its great that you take the time to explain how you repair and change oil on equipment l myself was raised on a dairy farm in northern Illinois its a great life for kids to grow up
Glad to see that you didn't have to use the B.F.H. to get the hub off. I know what you are thinking, but I mean Big "Farming" Hammer. lol. God Bless.
The "F" means "Farming"? I missed that lesson! 🤣🤣👍👍
@@MorganOtt-ne1qj well, you know, it's a bit early for the farm kids to know the true meaning. :)
@@PrinceJ933 👍👍🤣
Great job very nice video we have to replace our bearings on our feeder wagon to ❤
YES!!!!! Channel hammer
My dad didn’t have patience like you to talk to us about what to do and why to do it a certain way so it lasts longer.
sounds like our old h that we had
That Minnesota parts washer has a Washington state cousin. I've usedit a few times for the same type project 😊
You are a great father an teacher
Good teaching lesson on bearing r&r, that is how I have always packed bearings.
Only issue is you need bigger channel locks. LOL!!!!! Hope the weather changes
and you have a good year and harvest.
Im glad you voted
Wait to teach those kids right chrome socket on an impact
That's pretty much all I use.
I like your Minnesota parts washer! I’m gonna have to find me an Iowa version of that parts washer!! 😊
You have a good helper in Justin…Glad to see the young people getting their hands dirty and learning mechanical maintenance!! That’s becoming more and more uncommon, unfortunately!
Awesome video
Love your video
My brother was 4 or 5 at the time. Dad's gun grease was a dark red , my brother called it raspberry berry grease. My brother was born in 1960. Good job teacher!
Let your young mechanic know that, every grain of sand has 17 cutting edges to do damage to any moving parts because of friction between the parts and the dirt, rust etc.
Thanks for sharing. Ive spread manure on my small hayfields in April and baled hay off the field in late june. It worked out fine. Hope we all get some rain.
Good job and God bless your family
"Might end up going a different direction "😂That sounds like my days off. Sometimes I think I have a short attention span, and I never know what projects I will get into around the farmette😊.
good seeing the young boys learning i always drill and tap hubs put in grease serk saves a lot of brg
I have a part washer just like that one you have
Great video.
Nice video.
Its great to see the B still earning it's keep. Do i remember in one of your early videos you having an H too? Also watching Alan working with the kids brought back many memories of working with my Dad. His language wasn't youtube approved though! Lol😂
Lol! I had an H, but it got sold, needed to much work.
