- We are chopping our 4th cutting of alfalfa. While working on the first field we hear some strange noises with the chopper, so we bring it home to have a look at what's going on.
Thanks for Watching!

Nice looking potato harvest Mackenzie
Wow There Some Noises that were on the Grass and Chopper Great Work Farmers
So many things can go wrong when you have equipment that have as much moving parts as the chopper has. It's good that your kids have not only the experience from being around the equipment everyday, but also having others like you and your husband to help in those areas. Good to see the family working together to do farming. I hope you all have a nice day and a good weekend as well.
Your Family is Super Talented and Saves yourselves a Lot of Money with Repairs. 👍🙏
Good morning from keavy Kentucky I like your UA-cam video you and your kids and your husband doing a good job
l liked it when Kevin ask Ethan what you want to do. didn't tell him but ask for his opinion good boss good dad
Great video Ronda and family
Amen! thank U!! nice look'n hay! I hope it stay's green!
Great job driving the forage harvester Ethan
Another great vid! 4th cutting is allways the light at the end of the season!! Stay safe!
Mckenzie sure is blessed with her mother's goog looks.
There's a family with outstanding genetics..
It is interesting to see Kevin and Ethan troubleshoot. Fixing on the farm is just about a "given". Thank you for sharing your day(s). . . . "Keep on keeping on." 😊
Your girls are Impressive!! God bless!
Great video. The trials and tribulations of a farmers life ,with some machinery break downs , but at the end of the day all is weighed up to see the great results of the days work . Blessings .✝️🙌❤️🙏🏻😀
one of my favorite channels. Encouraging to watch the kids working so well together...such maturity.
Great job driving the truck Mackenzie

Great job driving the semi and trailer Ronda

Great team work and good weather
Hello happy farmers. It looks so lovely when it's so green. We have had a good harvest this year. We are finished until next year. We got 3 crops this year. The barn's are full and we sold about 600 bails. We wish yous luck.
Sometimes you just wish that you would find something broken, and know what the problem is,.....rather than spending a lot of time trying to figure out where a noise is coming from. Glad everything is back running again.
Thanks for the update Ronda, God bless you and your family. Be safe.
Great video, thanks for sharing Rhonda, Kevin and family
Hi guys, another great video. Break downs are the worst at harvest time but at least you can fix most things yourself, that is a very important skill , especially if it is on Sundays or holidays. You can save a lot of money too. Please make sure you save some chores for the new son in law😂, take care.🇨🇦👍
Makes perfect sense to run the trucks downhill than uphill when your loading. Used to help a buddy sometimes and that’s what we done.
It sounded like blade hitting cutter bar, ticking sound. Kevin is good at working on ever thing and so are the boys, you all remind me of all the problems I had when I had a dairy. best job I ever had. good luck!
Thanks to Ethan's keen ear a major breakdown was probably avoided. Glad to see you were able to get in one more cutting.
The potatoes drying in the exhaust fumes inside the Garage will get the job done but tastes a little John Deere. Not the wild one but if you're hungry you'll eat just about anything.
😝😝
Good Morning Ronda;
Hopefully you will get some more good weather and be able to get another cutting
The more the better to last through the winter
As always. Your good friend from Massachusetts 😊❤
Great content Ronda
Thanks!

A really good investment is a temperature "gun" to check the bearing temps too.

Atleast u guys stop to figure it out. I’ve seen folks just keep on running it until it don’t move. Lol
Yup. Spout is on the right side of the chopper here but if you’ve got a hill… makes sense. Thanks for posting.

Also, Fall is here🍂and the leaves are getting ready to change colors. So...yeah. And finally, the word "Alfalfa" sounds familar. It played on the movie "The Little Rascals." WOW!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👍
I could see how the hill would be a problem!

I know farming can be hard at times. It's like a clutch. My deceased brother was a farmer .for many years. I understand what your going through.
Great job love the repair shots in the video still look very busy good luck with the crops hope it’s a good one😊
merry christmas!!!!!
.... there are definite spots where you be going downhill because the up-hill choice is just asking for problems and when stuck and trying to pick it up on a hill is a candidacy for breakage .... just like a car going up a grade and will not notice it is there, but the cyclist knows it with every peddle pump .... noticing that Kevin is more so asking Ethan what the next step is or how he wants to tackle a task, obviously has been going on for a while, I was just really aware of it today .. thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
Another great video! Love your channel!!
Thanks so much!
New to the channel watching from Ontario Canada
Welcome to our channel!!
@@acresofclayhomestead thank u
Thanks
You keep getting it done!
A hill is a hill weather going up or down its still a hill and Rhonda your letting the hill do all the work you rock , hello Mackenzie and your co driver. Another great video 😂
Woo Hoo a new Rockin Ronda video. Love Ronda's videos, love how she fills you in on how things go during the process. 👍🐄🐄
Good nod goog
For me, the blower was ticking for the first time when the sheet metal behind the fan broke. The second time it ticked for a while and then one of the shovels fell off and made a mess.
😬
@@acresofclayhomestead 😂🤣😂
Kevin always with a smile. Well most always. When y'all going to upgrade to one of those Deere 1000 horsepower 12 row choppers? They have all the bells and whistles that tell you what is wrong. Just kidding... That machine looks like it does a good job and they ALL break down from time to time. You run machinery with all your senses. Ears eyes and nose can tell you things when a sensor won't. Please tell Ethan to shut that engine down when he is doing something like that. I know it wasn't running but still shut it down. I used to do that until a neighbor almost got killed trying to unclog the head on a peanut combine. I have made it a habit now when working on equipment in the field. The year is fast coming to a close so best wished this fall season A fan from Georgia...
Hello pretty lady
👍👍👍
Great video
Thanks!
Do you know if there are any nutritional differences between silage stored in a silo versus bags or bunks? Thank you for continuing to share your farm life with us. God's blessings for your family and have a safe harvest.
No difference. Properly covered bunkers and piles have little waste as well. Great question!
@@MorganOtt-ne1qj Thank you for your answer.
Looking good keep the good work up how are you guys doing
How tall was the sorghum? Years ago we grew sorghum as a cover crop as well but chopped it green like corn silage.
4ft.
Thanks for info, always enjoy your videos, reminds me of the farm I grew up on many years ago.
Hello, do you feed the sorghum straight or mix it with other feed! Thanks!
We mix it
Looks like we are in for a few more nice days next week! Enjoy every one!
We are having some beautiful weather!! 🤩
👋😊
Farm lady I want to drive your truck✊✊😉😉👍👍
😃
So Alfalfa will be alfalfa, and the sorghum will spanky….those that know! Know……Little Rascals 😂
nice Sorghum chopped grass # is it Sorghum Sudan ???? i thought the potatoes r waiting for some mechanical repair 😀 # ❤️ 👍 🇵🇰
Yes, Sorghum Sudan
Daaa
Young Lady you know running next to the chopper you should be wearing hearing protection, because the pitch of the chopper and blower will cause hearing lost later in life. Just suggestion, l know have hearing lost from running tractors when I was younger.
looks like you also have spelling "lost"
Can say something but a New Holland FP240 pull Type chopper with a New Holland 29P hay head three row corn head
do all this and milk how many cows to?
Yes! 😃
potatoes will soak extra iron lol.
😝
Who's the blonde ❤😂🎉😢😮😅
How old is the chopper ?
I think it's a 95'
Hey Kenzi when us gonna color moms hair?
