Really appreciate you gents for having this conversation. Insightful and reassuring as a ‘new’ PSG player. The gems from the advice Bruce received over the years are also super helpful as well. Thanks again!
Pearls of wisdom and wonderful interview. Thank you for all your posts. Bruce is indeed awesome. I would like to hear the story on his building a rack and then ditching the idea. Like every steel player I'm less than satisfied with my tone and equipment and explore or chase the trends of the pros I see, only to find they too switch gear often. Please do a series on how and why you and other great players are using gear in your live and recording sessions.
Hey y’all! Bruce, I’m a steel player near Richmond VA and heard great things of your early days playing while you were at VCU! Heard (hearsay, not sure if it’s fact) that you hit the road in 6 months of playing steel ? That’s impressive! Hope to meet you one day, trying to get to Nashville one day (or at least join a group based out of there) and live the road musician life ! I’m prob the only guy in Richmond that plays ALL over the place Just yesterday 6/20/24 I was at a RnB/blues/jazz jam playing with those guys and Is always a great experience! They enjoyed it too ! Great interview!!
Such an excellent series and resource for us lovers of pedal steel, thanks again for another sit down with a Nashville Legend! Also, if you’re reading this, please subscribe! They’re almost to 1k subs y’all!

Thanks for such brilliant and inspiring content. A lot of wisdom and incredible musicianship 🫡
Love the stories. Keep them coming.
Thank you, Russ and Bruce!
So many pearls of wisdom there. Finding a place in the room and don't be a jerk... two things I struggled with from time to time.
Such a tremendous interview and self reflection. Thanks again for these great interviews.
Awesome video! Bruce, I have always loved your steel playing. Saw you with Ray, Ricky, and Bobby in the 80’s. That band was great!
Great stuff. Pedal Steel is the most interesting instrument of all time
Awesome interview; great stories -- what a career! Thanks Russ and Bruce!
Thoroughly appreciate you both for this conversation!

Got to meet Bruce once in Oklahoma when he was with Foster & Lloyd - super nice guy and a excellent Steel guitarist.
