This movie is childhood memories for me. 0:38 I know that this is a dummy but still this is something that can actually happen in real. This scene still hits me hard even to this day and I don’t have any kids.
I remember as a small child this movie was always on the box every other month and me and my brother would laugh as the dummy child flew through the wind shield head first like a missile. It just looked so fake it was too comical to take seriously. Yes real life is usually more more gnarly and messy. I also thought Billy Zane was justified in killing the a holes on his boat 😂

I'm no sailor, but even I know not to open a watertight door, if it's bleeding water at the bottom. Pound on the door at various points to see if you can tell the water level on the other side, first. DUH!!!
ACHTUNG ! der film ist ganz ok (als hollyhood popcornkino), aber wenn du film-fan bist und gutes kino magst, vergiss den film und schau es dir nicht an !!! das erinnert mich an dumme tenagerfilme, die wegen ihrer übertriebenen dummheit, naivität und handlungsunfähigkeit abgeschlachtet werden... so dämlich und unfähig kann doch eine frau nicht sein.... einfach nur schlecht, die idee und story find ich aber gut.

I saw this 1990 and it was very very scary.
The moment that he left his wife alone with a stranger on that sailboat was the moment that he did something that was ill-advised.
