  • We've made our way down the nile from Cairo to Aswan to what is almost the Sudanese border to explore what is the most underrated tourist destination in Egypt. Most visitors to Egypt start their Nile river cruises here and totally skip the city of Aswan but it has so much to offer in history and culture and what we can only state as the truest form of Egyptian hospitality (ie. Less touristy in every way compared to Luxor).
We hope you enjoy this vlog as much as we enjoyed exploring this magical city ❤️

Thanks! When haggling is part of the culture we’re in - we love participating. It can sometimes make you feel closer to the person you’re bargaining with.

Thank you for posting this video. It will be very helpful when I'm there in October 2024. I am wondering how did you get the taxi and how much did it cost from aswan to abu simbel? Thanks.

We booked our transport on Viator. The tour was roughly $100 which only included the car transfer to Abu Simble. We bought the tickets once we got there. If we had one recommendation is to go with a private car transfer that leaves later in the morning (like 8-9am). That way you get there closer to noon/1pm which is when the morning crowds from the busses leave. If you go there with the majority of tour operators that leave at 4am, it'll be packed.
