I prefer accuracy to the toon. I don’t play with or have a ton of time posing figures regularly. Super seven is a nice middle ground between the 1/6 Joes and classified. Super 7 for the win for me.
Shoot me now, but I don’t need loads and loads of articulation. Not being against the Classified or Black Series articulation, but I do like the cleaner style for the Super7.

I have to have both of those Lady Jayes. Waifu since ‘85. I like the hair as opposed to the hat, which I appreciate for the “vintage figure” look but I liked the hair in the cartoon and that was her for me. Until the 25th anniversary lines’ animated figures, we never had a Lady Jaye without the hat
Very interesting with both Classified and Super7. I like the toon look and articulation. The Army building can be costly depending what collectors are going for. Yo Joe!
Me personally im a younger collector and I like the modernized Classified version more, not taking credit away from super 7 since they have the better quality all around and they reflect the classic look that most people remember and love from the original cartoon

@@tydiriumhanger1320 that may be true, but I believe that as history has shown, Super 7 is also willing to do deep cuts as well. Ahhh you nailed it bro, the problem with the classified sculpt, which I really wanna like buy something is off ... it's the hood! That outfit needs the hood! Well, somebody's gonna have to make an add on kit!
Okay, something about that Super 7 Flint is kinda ... perfect. Not as simple as realistic classified vs s7 toon because with some of them, Flint in particular, the overall silhouette, the macro-sculpt of s7 might be more realistically human than the mainline option.
I’m all in on Classified, Super 7, and Mezco. I don’t think I’ll mix them though. I’m also not sure if Hasbro will flood the market. Seems a bit to me like they are worried about losing money on the line. I’d be nice if we saw releases closer to legends numbers though.
I haven’t started collecting the super 7 series of figures until this week, so I’m behind with the waves of super 7 figures. I like some aspects of what they do with the super 7 lines mirroring the way the characters looked in the early comic and cartoon series but over time they have changed up the look of the first set of Joes we were introduced to and going forward with later inclusions or later characters. Classified makes some amazing builds and some really bad builds: honestly like what they did to modernize the looks of the Duke and Scarlett figures because those were all designed in the early 80s and it’s nice to see the mix up the uniform/look for those classic characters. Give the option to only collect Scarlett in her original uniform which id buy one for collectors sake but I like the modernized Scarlett and Duke of the classic line. How many times can you buy the same Joe characters in the original uniforms they wore and weapons with the sizing of the figures being the sole differentiator and articulation right next to the sizing of the characters. I’d like to see them do a super 7 Duke in the fashion of the Duke of the classified lines same for a nice sculpt of Scarlett and Duke, Lady Jay, Flint, Sgt Stalker etc
@@tydiriumhanger1320 I know and I love the classic Joe line and those designs but I'm all about these modern designs and I've waited my whole life feels like for a 6 inch Joe line lol

Same thing here. I made the terrible mistake of start collecting DC Multiverse from McFarlane Toys. Although some figures are definitely cool, they look so off on the 6" custom scenarios I usually use to diaplay my Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black Series figures.
Thanks for the comparison video. Definitely, the price and less articulation are a big drawback. But at this point, to get some of the Hasbro figures, it will be much more than Super 7... hahaha... I do like the realism of the Classified, just not the sci-fi ones in the early waves -color and guns. But they have gotten much better as well as distribution. I actually see a few more now in stores!
I already got the classified Lady and Flint. Not from BBTS mind you, nonono. I saw them at Target before my preorder could be filled. Because I preordered the 2pack for $1 less than them separately. So even though the separate figures came into stock on BBTS, they ignored my order. The ones at Target were cheaper anyway so BBTS missed out on my business. Anyway, rant over. I love those characters as a couple. I thought the classified versions both looked good at the time. I just hated Flint's haircut under his hat. Then I saw Super7's versions and was amazed. I don't have buyers remorse and have already preordered the new ones. I'm not a fan of the Baroness look from the first episodes. I hope they come out with the more iconic version later. Same with Snake Eyes. New Cobra Commander and Destro look great. What I really look forward to though is a Shipwreck figure.
Relax, I'm a Professional... First off, I am a Fan Fan of Gi Joe's. This is not what we wanted, I love the idea of bringing back the original intent and look of the Joes...BUT, this is an expensive replica that does not come close to the 82-87 Joe's. I would be willing to pay top dollar for a Joe that was just an updated Joe, swivel arms, legs, o ring, weapons etc...at the prices that I saw for these, I might as well buy used collectibles from ebay because they are still have a hance to appreciate in value, these do not. Great video and thank you for letting us see them out of the packaging. If you are buying these In hopes that they will be worth alot in the future...don't hold your breath. I dont see Super 7 doing the constant reuse the same characters right away. With Super 7 I feel like you will get the 3 Main Dreadnoks before Hasbro will release them in Classified line which is sad. I dont see Super 7 reusing so many parts each fig looks unique
the designs of the figures are based on the 5 part mini series that was debut of GI Joe in cartoon form. the baroness and snake eyes don't have the all back uniforms till the original series debut. they will get to the other designs down the road.
Watched the cartoon but having been exposed to GI Joe through the comic I have no fondness for the cartoon designs. Mostly down with the Classified line but only getting the figures I really like. The exclusives are hurting the line though.
I think that the Super 7 Cobra Commander is more accurate to the cartoon, except for the cape. His cape was black on the outside of the cape, and red on the inside of the cape. The Super 7 Duke is more accurate than the Classified one. The Super 7 Snake Eyes is more accurate to the cartoon than the Classified. It seems that the Super 7 Destro is more accurate to the cartoon. Most of the Super 7 line is more cartoon accurate than the Classified line, and I do like the vintage line, and I collect them all ranging from vintage line to current line.
I like the Baroness’s classic body by Super7 and that’s cool. Now the more ‘hourglass’ look will be in the later seasons Baroness. I find it looks good. I agree that Lady Jaye’s head is a bit less ‘horsey’ meow!
@@tydiriumhanger1320 I think they’ll do her justice. One thing about their prices and work so far is there won’t be too many if any repaints, except for the ReActions line.
The Super 7 line looks amazing, but I’m just not into the total animated look so I’ve been buying the classifieds. I’ve also been buying Super 7 Ninja Turtles instead of the animated Neca ones.
Much less articulation from Super 7. However I did order just one of the BAT figs from Super 7. I do hope it has bicep or at least elbow swivel. Hmm you think the Super 7 Destro will look good next to the Hasbro Cobra Cmdr. and other Cobra characters? I know S7 is a larger figure. But isn't Destro in the animated series taller than most of the characters?
I feel Super 7 will look good next to any figure but the Classified Cobra Commander will look like he too small. Maybe prop CC up on a podium or something
I grew up with the comics and the cartoon seemed lame in comparison, so while some of the cartoon looks are familiar, I don't have an attachment to them and I appreciate (most) of the modernising Classified has done for the characters. Classified all the way for me.
I was always into the comic and Snake Eyes over the cartoon so Super 7 doesn’t do much for me. I may however pick up the Snake Eyes and Timber because they do scale with my McFarland Batman.
Just noticed, if super 7 were going for screen accuracy, they messed up flints pants. The colors are reversed it’s brown with green camo not green with brown.
Super 7 nailed it on every comparison that you made. Classified? I don't like them but I know that most people do. I just wish that Hasbro would have allowed them to do o-rings. With the baroness you got the wrong cartoon. That version of her Hasbro never made it on a toy back in the 80s
$50 is too much, especially when I want to collect the whole line and there is a $20-$25 alternative. I might get that Cobra Commander because the 3 versions of Classified Cobra Commander are horrible. I don't know anyone that likes it. But they will probably do a Retro Walmart Exclusive Cobra Commander 6 inch figure. Although, that will probably take a few years the way things are going.
To be completely fair, there are a number of the Classified Series designs that are accurate to the mobile game. So both companies technically get high marks for "accuracy". I'm a 1:12 collector so Super7 is not in my wheel house or within my budget. I own the Super7 re-release of the MotU Filmation He-Man and Skeletor and was happy to stop there but with G.I.Joe I really wouldn't have an end.
Classified all the way bub as there updated versions of the 1980s figures (snake eyes in black, lady J wearing a cap and flint wearing a black shirt and so on) NOT the 1980s cartoon. Far more detail on the classified line aswell. YO JOE!!👍
The fact that the Super 7 in Made is Veitnam and not china is a win for me. The Constant lockdowns that china are still doing to this day has slowed production of toys to a halt. I do expect Super 7 will surpass the amount of figures released to classified before you know it. Price sucks yes but if I can get my hands on the\m will make all the difference
The amount of figures in my Classified collection would have cost $1,700 if they were Super7. This line goes deep, that cost is prohibitive when you get to 30+ figures. Classified for me
I don't particularly care either way. These are wabbit holes I'd rather avoid. And I am happy that a lonely Classified Series Cobra Commander that was sitting at Target for months was finally gone. Already got enough of a fix of that guy with Earthrise Starscream. 😏😏😏 Besides, the only ones I would want are Lady Jaye, Scarlett, Baroness, CoverGirl, & Jinx (if they ever get to that season's peeps)...and I already missed the bus on Lady Jaye, Scarlett, & Baroness. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
True! I see many Classified displays that use about 30% of the pose ability and look great. I am sure that these will be able to hold my current poses in my Classified display but I am far from good at posing these LOL
Super 7 looks good, but if they're including animals without the price raising, then to me, that says that the figures could be sold for less than $55 without the animals.
So what you're saying is, Super 7 makes better looking toys, but the price point is the barrier to entry. You get what you pay for, classified has a cool aesthetician, but they're also cheap toys that cost like 18 dollars, they are kinda overpriced too, but with inflation, you're seeing price hikes for low quality figurines. I like both for different reasons, but price shouldn't be why a figure is good or bad, I get that most collectors aren't rich, yet, you can't deny that Super 7 is very appealing despite the price point.
I actually still love Classified. I like the updated designs for the characters and the amount of detail they have is amazing. The quality of the plastic is good and articulation makes them super posable. Even though they’re hard to find and get scalped to heck, I find them much more affordable than Super 7, especially if you preorder or buy directly from Hasbro.
Are we ignoring the fact that classified is not based on the cartoon. It's based on the video game, GI Joe: operation blackout. Not real life aesthetics. And super 7 is based on the cartoon. So to try and compare these two to the cartoon is kind of unfair. Classified is spot on when compared to the video game it's based on. Even the Nerf weapons. Super 7 leans toward the cartoon. Super 7 hasn't even released anything yet, just computer generated pictures. So the figures may not even be as accurate as these photos. It's two different lines that share the same name. It's like comparing MOTU origins to MOTU Revelations.
Both lines are cool, but the Super 7 line is so fantastically copied from the 80's cartoon series, it's like you can re-create the show w/ the figures.
Ill take the Classified figures any day over the super 7. I prefer the more detail updated looks over the old outdated looks from 40 years ago. I wouldn't mind some classic looks from Hasbro for $20 but would never spend $55 for some out dated figures with lesser articulation. I honestly don't think the super 7 figures are worth more than $35 for what you get and the lesser articulation.
honestly Super7 feels like small child coloring outside the lines a bit and classified is nice tight comicbook quality art - also Super7 feels like knock off with its lack of articulation.. also exta hand dont mean a damn to me and that super7 chest bend line is so over pronounced
To me, GI Joe is 3 3/4" and that's all I collect. Although, as someone who is always a fan of the cartoon aesthetic, I gotta say those S7 figures look really nice.
For Gi Joe the 3.75 makes the most sense because of the importance of vehicles. At the bigger scale they are mostly a figure collection with a few vehicle accessories
The Super 7 line is like a G.I.JOE Masterpiece line for me. The Classified line is nice but mostly unobtainable and I don't see that changing. I'm gonna sell my Classified figures to pay for the Super 7 figures lol.

Something about hitting that perfect toon or near perfect representation that draws me to Super 7
@@tydiriumhanger1320 I agree with you on that. It seems that Super 7 line is more cartoon accurate than the Classified line.
There are a lot of aftermarket hooded mods for CC online.
Good point you can customize your figures they way you want these days
i remember it's the only commando snake eyes Scarlett cryed :(
Yep I rewatched that part to get the screen shot
I like the Baroness’s classic body by Super7 and that’s cool. Now the more ‘hourglass’ look will be in the later seasons Baroness. I find it looks good.
I agree that Lady Jaye’s head is a bit less ‘horsey’ meow!
I do hope super7 gives us a more classic Baroness but My bets are on just a repaint.....Hope I am wrong
S7 for sure. More close to animated look.
It's kinda hard to do a comparison with such a price difference and availability.
Keep in mind the classified series it's more based on the video
Super 7 is the best with gi Joe's
They hit that toon look we crave! The MP look
@@tydiriumhanger1320 tis true. :)
I like classified
Super7 is 👌🏽. Bt fr a price range classified is good😁
Just noticed, if super 7 were going for screen accuracy, they messed up flints pants.
Okay, Lady Jaye is the first one where hands down super 7 is better, just for the face alone.
Flint looks pretty close also but Lady Jaye classified face should be redone and included with another figure down the road LOL
I prefer classified first for the prices for classified i pay 27 euro for super7 is 80 euro. And i realy like the classified designs.
There are things to like about both but the price to super7 entry can be a big turnoff
Super7's Lady Jaye sculpt kinda looks like Amanda Bearse.
I do see the resemblance
To be completely fair, there are a number of the Classified Series designs that are accurate to the mobile game. So both companies technically get high marks for "accuracy". I'm a 1:12 collector so Super7 is not in my wheel house or within my budget. I own the Super7 re-release of the MotU Filmation He-Man and Skeletor and was happy to stop there but with G.I.Joe I really wouldn't have an end.
That Filmation Heman and Skeletor look great and Lion 0 is also great which inspires confidence in the company
Classified all the way bub as there updated versions of the 1980s figures (snake eyes in black, lady J wearing a cap and flint wearing a black shirt and so on) NOT the 1980s cartoon. Far more detail on the classified line aswell. YO JOE!!👍
Super 7 home of the 80s that’s why I go with super 7
The fact that the Super 7 in Made is Veitnam and not china is a win for me. The Constant lockdowns that china are still doing to this day has slowed production of toys to a halt. I do expect Super 7 will surpass the amount of figures released to classified before you know it. Price sucks yes but if I can get my hands on the\m will make all the difference
My opinion! I think the classified line is far more superior than the super 7. Just the amount of details and articulation alone speaks for itself.
Classified easily. Simply because of scale, price, articulation and more relation to the old toys not cartoon
The amount of figures in my Classified collection would have cost $1,700 if they were Super7. This line goes deep, that cost is prohibitive when you get to 30+ figures. Classified for me
Long term super 7 will be expensive but with only a few releases per year spread over a decade it might be affordable
I think they should have done the O-ring if they want to do "classic" but making it easier for the buyers to replace them
I think the issue with any O ring design these days is the super high labor cost to assemble.
I wish these were 6"
I think they stay in that 7 inch lane so they can do every franchise they want and it is technically different than all the others
The classified lady Jaye is based on the original voice actress for her. I don’t like it, but it looks just like the actress
That is interesting if they did use the voice actress
No question Super 7 just kicked Hasbro ass on its own property.
I don't particularly care either way. These are wabbit holes I'd rather avoid. And I am happy that a lonely Classified Series Cobra Commander that was sitting at Target for months was finally gone. Already got enough of a fix of that guy with Earthrise Starscream. 😏😏😏
Besides, the only ones I would want are Lady Jaye, Scarlett, Baroness, CoverGirl, & Jinx (if they ever get to that season's peeps)...and I already missed the bus on Lady Jaye, Scarlett, & Baroness. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
I struggle to see a super 7 display where all characters arent just standing static in vanilla standing poses.
But no 7 inches isnt a problem. People care way to much about 1/12 scale. People should just say they only collect marvel legends and keep moving on.
Either way great video.
True! I see many Classified displays that use about 30% of the pose ability and look great. I am sure that these will be able to hold my current poses in my Classified display but I am far from good at posing these LOL
Classified!
They are the best value and look real world
Super 7 looks good, but if they're including animals without the price raising, then to me, that says that the figures could be sold for less than $55 without the animals.
Seems they could sell the figures for the Thundercats price of $44
@@tydiriumhanger1320 And the Turtles.
Mike, there's no truth to the rumor that Hasbro has banned the hooded COBRA Commander.
Easy pass for me on the super 7. All in on the Classified Series!!!!
The switch up is tough if you have been all in on Classified from day 1
I'm with S7
That will be a great looking display
Married dude here. Super7 Barroness shape does not look like a boy to me. She DOES like more like a real life woman...mine at least. 🤟
Classified is looking more classic but it isn’t identical to the cartoon. That’s why Super7 is better.
Can you really mix these scales successfully?
I can cheat with elevations and some posing but just standing there on a shelf will be noticable
Super 7 is more cartoon accurate
They are hitting that toon in a Super way!
Classified line is the best
THE CLASSIFIED SERIES IS AN UPDATED VERSION OF GI JOE.NOT BASED ON THE CARTOON,SO DON'T KNOW WHY YOUR TRYING TO SAY COMPARE THEM TO JUST THE CARTOON.
Super 7 figures should be More like $15.
3:21 Why not?
Modern day PC mess and as another comment compared to the fact we can not get a Megatron Gun
super 7 all day every day, not even close.
honestly Super7 feels like small child coloring outside the lines a bit and classified is nice tight comicbook quality art - also Super7 feels like knock off with its lack of articulation.. also exta hand dont mean a damn to me and that super7 chest bend line is so over pronounced
If you are a fan of the original cartoon the super7 all the way. The classified one isn't connected to my childhood at all.
Super 7 nails it. Too bad they're not 3.75.
They do have a line of reaction that look good for what they are
To me, GI Joe is 3 3/4" and that's all I collect. Although, as someone who is always a fan of the cartoon aesthetic, I gotta say those S7 figures look really nice.
For Gi Joe the 3.75 makes the most sense because of the importance of vehicles. At the bigger scale they are mostly a figure collection with a few vehicle accessories
