Super7 looks huge in comparison. I am glad that they are finally releasing them. Been waiting for a really long time
That Duke is absolutely amazing. Stepped right out of the cartoon.
My Wave 1 set was delivered today. Haven't had a chance to open them yet but the look great in the box. Really takes me back to my childhood.

I’m all in on this line. I will be picking up EVERY GI Joe Ultimate Super 7 makes. (And Snake eyes canister was the radioactive crystals for the M.A.S.S device)

Dang. He’s looking near perfect. When you do the comparisons, for me, this is the winner. Really like that cape and the non-attached attachment scheme. In a perfect world, I’d like embedded magnets on the torso. I can’t wait for Destro. Great video. ✌🏾➕✊🏾
Ya the cape is made nicely and looks good……..but why did they make it more pinkish than crimson?!

i hope these guys would be easily to obtain locally - that Duke is really cool besides Cobra Commander - they should have really included the version with the cloth mask
Super 7 has said that Hasbro wouldn't allow it, otherwise I think it would have come with the hooded head as well.
These are some nice figs, great packaging, I’m really pumped for these figs. Exactly what I’ve been waiting for in a GI Joe. Cartoon look on a bigger scale. Been getting down on all the new spawn figs too. Just a great time to be a collector, my childhood dream 😂
I’m pleasantly surprised by Duke. The face on my TMNT April is awful so I was expecting the worst.
The "cartoon accurate" rifle is the XMLR-3 that originally came with Snow Job and Duke is holding on his card art.

Those chest pouches on Snake Eyes are supposed to be black! Very disappointing considering price and the fact that I have been wanting this version of Snake Eyes for years

I army built the Super7 BATS instead of the hasbro ones because it looks cooler that they’re bigger and it’s a robot so why wouldn’t Cobra Commander want them to be bigger?
Just got my duke. Switched the head and the neck broke.
I wish they were 6in figures to be in scale with the classified line. I know that wasn't possible, but I hate mixing scales. I really want to pick up the stormshadow with the Excalibur, but I would struggle to know where to put him in my collection. I guess it's a good problem for collectors to have this kind of variety.
These are to go with motuc. That's the entire point of the ultimates
I like having that variety myself. Storm Shadow coming with Excalibur is just an awesome deep cut.

I am just awaiting mine to come in the mail hopefully this week. I am using these as my decision on whether to collect this line or not. I did get the SDCC B.A.T. but wasn't too enamored by it but it may be because I never liked the B.A.T. figures as a kid. I wanted this first wave mainly for the V1 Snake Eyes and Duke. Great review, I am looking forward to getting Wave 2 and 3.
Getting deeper into the video. Wow…I think they’re killin it with this line so far. I wonder if the fans will bite. Unfortunately I’ve observed a segment of the Hasbro Joe fans get real entrenched in their ways, and there’s a good amount of negative sentiment from those parts towards Super7. Wonder how all of that will settle around this. I really like what Classified is doing for the property, but this Super7 line is an absolute love letter to the Sunbow fans, which I gotta assume is potentially a bigger fan base than the Joe toy collecting one. Unfortunately not all of those are interested in buying toys. I guess S7’s Transformers Ultimates line is in the same boat. 🤷🏻♂️ One nitpick…the Timber feels like the art direction is off. Feels too photorealistic to fit in perfectly with this animation-slanted line. 🐺
This is spot on, I've noticed that a lot of Joe fans are actually just military figure fans and seem to frown on anything that isn't classic or modern military. I grew up watching the Sunbow cartoon in the 80s and I love these so much more than classified just because of their looks. I also was already a huge collector of Super 7. Also, the negative stuff you hear about Super 7 is mostly false as I've had almost every Classified figure and experienced the same number of loose joints etc. from Hasbro as I have Super 7, no line or lines are perfect but there are some UA-cam channels that are very pro Valaverse that hate on the other companies, it's childish honestly. As an adult collector I am looking for a good-looking figure with decent articulation, Super 7 generally gets all of this right for me.

Not for me, but I absolutely understand why some would prefer this aesthetic. Personally I think this Duke and Snake Eyes look terrible, but that's a totally subjective opinion. Classified is still my preferred line, especially after they course corrected on their designs. Great that there are different choices for different preferences, though.
I don't think that is glue slop it's the plastic casing that imprinted and also removed the matte coat of the plastic

Dang, really wishing I'd sprung for faster shipping way back when I ordered these a year and a half ago. I kept wondering why I wasn't getting email updates, only to realize I'd let my email go completely full. Lol. I felt like an idiot as once I started clearing it the updates came flooding in. I literally only use email for online order confirmations anyway, so I only check it maybe once a week, if at all. I was getting worried considering the quality issues the Thundercats line has suffered, a line I haven't touched since wave 2 by the way, but didn't want to pull out on the Joe's as this Cobra Commander is a bucket list get for me. Glad I held on, and now kind of wish I'd ordered more than just Commander and Snake Eyes.

Just got my Wave 1 set today & had the same question. I'll look into the sheets & do a test. Thanks! EDIT: Sadly mine don't have "glue". They are dents in the figure that line up with the vacuum form plastic the figure is cased in. My guess is heat damage from the process. Snake Eyes has some minor ones but my Duke has two long lines on the thighs. I'm thinking this is also what is putting slight warp in the longer weapons.

They're good but not perfect.
Another thing is GIJoe needs vehicles to be complete and feel properly flushed out. The bigger you scale figure the harder it is to tackle those

One tip is to check with Entertainment Earth from time to time as they often allow savings codes. I got this whole wave with 15% off just by using an influencer code. I buy mostly Super 7 so I use this often to get discounts. Honey is a good browser extension now owned by Paypal too and they can pick up codes and save you money.
they have some great accessories which sadly dont scale for the better (IMO) classified figures but im not into this oversized cartoony stuff. well done for what it is.

Just received my duke figure and it has marks on the legs from the packaging I think. How did you remove them?

I used Magic Eraser thin wipes, wet one down and gently rubbed off the marks.

I’m soo bummed out with the quality of the set I received all of dukes head sculpts have paint slop and chipping and all his joints are so stiff I had to run him under boiling hot water and I still can’t move his shoulders and for some reason my cobra commander came missing the hand that holds his scepter and then opposite of Duke the other three are super loose it’s really discouraging considering it’s my first super7 purchase

Yeah I’m just waiting for them to reply sense it’s the weekend but it’s still a beautiful set regardless I’m excited for the next 2 waves

@17:17 Hasbro is trying to go with the cartoon look with the O-Ring reissues 🧐??? Then why doesn't the Snake Eyes O-Ring look like the Super 7 figure? The O-Ring reissues are trying to recreate the original O-Ring look. ALSO... The color of the "Cartoon accurate" rifle is a big turn off... Hopefully you got a janky one off variant that shouldn't have left the factory because the inclusion of the cartoon accurate rifle was a big selling point for me and if the color is That much off then 😔...

While everyone in the comment section is reacting on the content of the clip I could not get past the filthy and ugly fingernails this dude has. I'm definitely in the write space content-wise though I could not focus on it because of the nails. How someone can have more care for plastic toys than his own body is beyond me. Probably going to be attacked by a lot of people for writing this. LOL

Why spend all that money on such ugly figures? Classified looks much better and the quality of the plastic looks much better. Even in the video I can see how cheap that plastic looks. Then to top it off you're paying 55 plus tax for this.
