Appreciate the detail and the nostalgia. I got snake eyes and timber but that's it for me. I'm more into the Hasbro looks especially the way they're doing the retro versions. Thanks for sharing.
Iv been waiting for these figures since I was 6 years old. I am a huge Sunbow fan so i'm all in definitely doing army building right now. I have six of the bats and considering 4 more but that's just me
Those are $79.99+ each in Canada and as someone who just started collecting Classified and has 50 figures so far... that price point is absolutely bananas considering how many characters there are. They are over double the price of Classified, that's how much videos games cost!
My Super 7 Cobra Commander is too loose in leg/ankle joints and keeps leaning forward or backwards…is it just mine or are others having this annoyance…
24:29 I think that's the mcfarlane version. I picked up a couple over time from Ross for ~$10bucks and then they also had the jazwares version of that not-firefly character for ~$12bucks. Jazwares' fortnite figs were more along the scale of other hasbro stuff at 6inches. Speaking of super7, I was at a Burlington Coat Factory this evening and they had a super7 purple optimus with limited articulation & a removable chest plate for $35 bucks. Checked online and places have it for sale in the $85 range.
IF hasbro would re-release a cartoon look Duke and Cobra Commander then i'll be ok with the classified line but for now Super7 nailed it - tho they are too big even besides Thundercats and MoTu figures but that is what they look like in the cartoons we all watched- great comparison
Great review Mike. I do like the cartoon look, but I'm already invested with the classified line. I'm even ok with classified Duke, Firefly, Cobra Commander, and Gung-Ho. I do hope they do a better Scarlett though.
Aesthetically, these are great and very accurate to the cartoon series. But, the overall quality is lacking. Durability and Pose-ability is limited in comparison to Classified. If you want a figure you can display on a shelf and rarely adjust, it's fine, but Super 7 is not an "action figure" that can hold up to frequent use and play/display. I prefer GI Joe substance (Classified) over style (Super 7). That's my take, (I got wave 1) and I'd rather invest my precious money and limited space to Classified going forward.
These do have their minor issues but I do not mess with my figures much at all that Classified duke has held that pose since the day I got him. He might be fused in that position
First! Mike I'm all in on Super7 Ultimates. I'm limiting myself to '82 and '83 characters and the occasional '84 year figure that I gotta have. At these prices you have to set parameters!
I like the toon look but with more detail. I'm sticking to Classified for now and hoping they redo all the original releases that were based on the Operation Blackout game. I passed on the original Duke but I got the Tiger Force version with the Ram due to the more subdued colors.
I had gotten a few ultimates just to see how they are (cobra commander, Duke, and snake eyes). They are okay but I prefer classified much more. For me, I grew up liking the comics much more than the cartoon. Super 7 is more cartoon accurate. I just like the visuals, articulation and price point for classified. I may get storm shadow super 7 (still debating) and that is probably it for me in terms of collecting Super 7.
Yep getting the main cast and your favorite characters in this hyper toon is fun not sure how deep they will go or now many will support all 300 or so characters at $55 each
Interesting to note these are the first two ultimate super 7 joes I purchased in the last 3 weeks. I like the authentic or true to the original incarnations of these two figures from the 80s cartoon era of GI Joe. I can see the appeal of the 7 in line tbh, it has a higher grade of quality making and packaging to its more detailed and modernized look and feel 6 in line from hasbro. I like these figures so far, these are the same two I have at the moment with the November wave on deck. I haven’t picked up the wave 2 ones yet. I think this super 7 line lacks the versatile articulation which the classified line on average tends to excel in with respect to the articulation. I think neither line is perfect and wave 1s are usually the prototype line with the subsequent waves ideally to get better. It’s tough to say it hat regarding the current few classifieds that were released though, QC issues abundant and weapons/accessories are really declining in quality with the classifieds released of late. My Big Ben’s larger gun second grip broke out the box and was brand new. Overall I’m happy to see this line looking to capture the nostalgia of these figures via the 80s cartoon look of these figures it just isn’t as articulation centric by comparison to its six in line
Don't think it's a fair comparison in my opinion. Like you mentioned, the prices are entirely different and therefore get more with some and less with others. They are also two completely different styles. Super7 is doing spot on accurate representations of the cartoon which is fine and maybe some people like that style more. While Hasbro is doing more detailed and somewhat updated looks to the characters. I'll stick with Hasbro simply because the detail is there on the figures and overall I have a big collection already so I wouldn't have space for Super7. I also like more articulation from Classified since I do like to pose and take pictures of my figures. I would probably buy Scarlet she is one of my favorite characters and if they ever made Dusty from Super7. Good job on the video
Dont know if its better but as far as offical joe product is concerned i have a question for hasbro.....considering the amount of times there has been crossovers between gi joe and transformers (g1 cartoon,Marvel comics, dreamwave and devils due comics all did it and more than once in some cases and veven convention exclusive toys such as the skystriker painted as g1 starcream that came with a cobra commander pilot figure) why have you NEVER released a cobra commander who is armed with g1 megatron in his gun mode as his side arm....come on hasbro, get it together...its a no brainer...you OWN BOTH intelectual properities so its not like there are any legal issues standing in your way
Classified does many things well and the lineup is impressive as they are into the 70s for numbers now. If they go back and deliver retro styles of those first key characters they will see more happy fans
Yep the pricpoint is a bit of an obstacle but I still spent less on super 7 vs Classified since they give us what we want right away instead of buying a bunch of stuff that is close then closer then closest but not there yet
@@tydiriumhanger1320 I have other figures in the same size range so that was also a selling point for Classified and the new Maverick figure from Ramen Toys is a must have.
For $55 dollars it’s not perfect to many imperfections and the articulation for $55 I would expect same as the classified line this is why I don’t care much for Super 7 figures they need to articulate the figures more .
Super 7 look great. The main problem is their refusal to stop using 20 year old articulation and update. Their figure technology is ancient and embarrassing. The pricing thing sounds totally bogus, don't believe randos on the Internet who have no idea what they are talking about.
Classified all the way for me. And honestly, you HAVE to talk price! Like most Super 7 figures these are overpriced. I also should mention that I am a fan of the 80’s cartoon but prefer the look of the Classified line. Overall Hasbro’s knocking it out of the park with the Joes.
Appreciate the detail and the nostalgia. I got snake eyes and timber but that's it for me. I'm more into the Hasbro looks especially the way they're doing the retro versions. Thanks for sharing.
In the cartoon the cape is pink. I don’t know why people keep saying it’s red. Awesome channel and Thanks for the review ✌🏼
As it turns out both are true! In the early cartoons it was pink and in the movie it was black and red.
Good points it was black and red later in the show and that is what many of us remember most
My favorites of this wave was Snake Eyes and the BAT. I’m hoping they announce Zartan and Major Bludd in the next series.
Thanks man! Glad the trouble bubble is still entertaining!
I love Classified and I love Super7 Joes. It’s not a competition between the two for me as they fill different niches.
Iv been waiting for these figures since I was 6 years old. I am a huge Sunbow fan so i'm all in

Great review job . I'm not buying either. But I like the look of them. ❤
Super 7 Cobra Commander and Duke look cool. Nice comparisons, thanks.
One of those controls that he had was for the Synthroid and the other one is when he remote-controlled Duke to fight in the arena with snake eyes
My Super 7 Cobra Commander is too loose in leg/ankle joints and keeps leaning forward or backwards…is it just mine or are others having this annoyance…
If Super 7 does a Stalker and Roadblock i'll definitely get them. I know they'll be done right the first time.
True they are giving the fans the look they want right out of the gate and not having to buy 4 cobra commanders or roadblocks to get a retro version
I mean if you like a cobra commander that looks like he rode a horse for a week straight sure. Haha 😂😂😂😜
@@tydiriumhanger1320 Yeah man.

Many feel the new codename reveals include a retro type Scarlett (smurfette) and I do hope so!
@@tydiriumhanger1320 Fingers crossed 🤞
The destro and cobra commander were done good
I like these figures a lot Mike... I have a big box from my pile of loot with an ultimate BAT inside that I will open in a few days...😀💡✌️
That has to be exciting and a bit overwhelming if you let that pile of loot go for too long LOL
I'm 43 and I'm mostly a TF collector but these super 7's are very cool. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I have the solid blue helmet on mine. ✌️👍
Dukes face has to be 3d printed it looks perfect

Yep without rules it turns to chaos very fast! Wait I need some rules like that LOL
And that gun was from Culver's creatures episode where you can control the animals he sent junkyard out to hurt mutt

its all about toon nostalgia. Super7 is exactly what i want
I have snskeeyes & timber, I'm waiting on store shadow

I love them both. The same way. I have super seven turtles and Neko turtles. I’m going to get the G.I. Joe’s.
Cobra Commander is very bull legged. I prefer Classified. Especially with the direction they are going. Also the size factor.
The cape is pink in the Mass Device series.
That does make sense as they went with the Snake eyes early design also
All in on these. Never started with Classified.
These will satisfy the 80s toon need for GI Joe perfectly
Love the look of these super7 joes, but I’m too deep into the classified line
Are these not SUPER EXPENSIVE also..

I sold all of my classifieds. All in on the Super7s. Better designs
I pondered that one but Classified has more characters Super 7 may not make for years. Now 5 years from now I may have wished I did the same
I really liked the Cobra Commander and really was disappointed in the Duke.

Not for me, classified does the job well done so far.
Classified does many things well and the lineup is impressive as they are into the 70s for numbers now. If they go back and deliver retro styles of those first key characters they will see more happy fans
I think Classified sucks. I sold mine and so totally stoked about Ultimates. Destro is badass.
Why are the SUP 7 wearing tights ??? Ballerina legs ..ugh
I am all in on Classified, if I could afford it I would get Super 7 as well, I like the original cartoon mini-series look.
Yep the pricpoint is a bit of an obstacle but I still spent less on super 7 vs Classified since they give us what we want right away instead of buying a bunch of stuff that is close then closer then closest but not there yet

I like that they don't put the seam around torso looking like two separate figures put together
It's TRUE they are better 7
I like that BETTER 7 more than the name the haters give Subpar 7
They are ok cartoon accurate but to large and not interested and to expensive.
I lost interest in G.I. Joe/Action Man action figures when the abs articulation became prominent...I still cringe whenever looking at the gaps.

I dont trust Super7 when it comes to quality and price
Out of my price range ✨
Yep they are pricey and I am waiting on a better sale to get a Snake eyes or standard bat to open
