I myself being raised in a family with an alcoholic father who drank himself to death by age 44, and also having several failed relationships myself with men who were alcoholics, can fully appreciate this song. She is on the water...in a boat... which is significant in the fact of her lover drowning... drowning in water - - drowning in alcohol - - both are suicide. The old ristic house and rolling in the country side grassy hills is connected to her upbringing. ...this msg. cont . . .
As anyone who can appreciate Robinella's music knows that she is from the foothills of Tennessee near the Great Smokey Mountains where I live as well. And times I have moved away from Tennessee, video's such as these bring back memories and make me homesick for beautiful Tennessee!! Continue doing what you do Robinella... i have followed you since you were 1st featured on the Heartland Series tv show. Rememeber that? That's the day i 1st heard ur song "Nothing Less Nothing More"... msg. cont..
This song somehow… keeps me afloat.. thank you for playing Birmingham! Come back!! I know you was preggy at that time… and it was SO BEAUTIFUL! WorkPlay in Bham, AL thank you
If you ever met Robinella in person, you would be so ashamed to say an ugly thing like that . She is a very kind person, and doesn't deserve disrepect of any kind, much less a comment like that.
Gebsmith, you are 100% correct in your description of what it's like to lived this tale. A lot of women and men go down when their spouse goes down. I am also a deeply rooted foothills girl. Hillbetty taken out of the mountains. :)
I saw them perform at THE ARK in Ann Arbor, MI. Great performance, great vocals and a certain soulfulness that is unique. Really enjoyed "Blanket for my Soul". Thanks for entertaining us Yankees.
Who cares, it's all about what you have in your heart, like you don't care, others don't care.........but I like Robinella, so let's have some fun with her music
Saw her & her band's Soundstage on Axs. Great musicians, and Robin did a great job. She smiles easily, and no visible tattoos. At first I thought they were gonna play bluegrass, which I love. But It turned out to be more light jazz. I'm not a HUGE jazz fan, but their performance was great.
I remember when Kenny Chesney released the video for "Who you'd be today" and thinking that the woman outside the fire station sure looked familiar. This video came out in 2004 or so while Chesney released his in 2005. Does anyone know if Robinella helped with that video?
Robin, thank you so much for giving us the gift of your beautiful voice. You are so amazing.
This is one of my favorite songs!
I used to go see them perform at Barley's in the old city in Knoxville on Monday nights. This song has remained my favorite of theirs.
I played guitar with Robin for a couple years. As a matter of fact I played a show with her about a month ago. Super talent and a great person!
That’s awesome! Just love the music and energy!! We all blessed , some more than others ☺️🙏
My mother sang in college with her believe it or not!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

This song was back in early 2004. The song was also back in the Spring of that year.
Love this still.
Beautiful loving song. Of helpless sorrow....so true..
Beautiful! The song, your voice, you. All of it!
Reminds me of watching Edge of Country on GAC, that’s where I first saw this video
Now one of my favorite CD's.
Such a great tune - makes me smile every time it comes up on my iPod!
So great

Most musicis better live than recorded.
@GreenDestiny I guess you have never had to experience a love that drowned himself? Lucky you!
Cruz went on to the Black Lillies...where did Robinella go?
Is she still performing?
what a strange video for the song being sung. It doesn't match any concept i can think of. What is point?
GreenDestiny
