I thought of this exact concept about 8 years ago or so and thought that Fender would be the best company to implement. I wrote it out in a detailed document and sent it to them. I didn't ask for payment of any description but as a marketeer, I get a buzz out of inventing ideas and seeing them implemented. Some low level employee said it was interesting and that they'd pass it on to someone who had the power to do something about it. I never heard anything further. I did make efforts to get someone's attention at Fender. No success. Their loss, I guess. I shall be greatly looking forward to visiting the Gibson Garage next time I'm in London.
