I used my Wii so many times (owned since 2011 and frequently used since), there's kinda a gross rusty effect in the battery slot. I didn't mind them back in 2011 when I was eight, but now, it's like, can't I charge this thing or what? Even when I use a GameCube Controller, I have to change the Wii Batteries just so I can play Smash Bros. with the GC Controller only

@@lordn4353 Exactly, same here. I like the little touches of the Pokedex challenges and such on the Switch version of Pokemon Home but they give no rewards. Nothing to keep you engaged, is basically pay to keep old Pokemon unusable. I dont know why they cant use Pokemon X and Y models and just have the pokemon in each box walk around for example. At least that much.
@@GlauberandDevin The thing is, there's only one good reward and that one is for completing the national dex. In my current situation I don't have the time nor the motivation for that.

Wouldnt be too bad if the complete Pokedex was in Sword and Shield but ah well. You cant even use the prize in Sword and Shield anyhow so thats also annoying haha.
I wish this game had a more dedicated following, I could see this becoming a fan project and people adding models from the later rumble games and remaking it to be some kind of compatible

Videos like this are so valuable, I always love when we have to chance to look back at the older games and I think it's really cool to see for people who joined the Pokémon community recently as well! I don't know if Masuda or employees of Game Freak ever watch videos like this, but they should know that these games are still in our minds. It's a shame you can't get your hands on this game anymore.
I always wanted this game, it would be pretty cool to have again. Home is nice but it would be cool to interact with my Pokémon or watch them play! I need that kind of wholesome Pokémon content in my life. Like Pokémon camp, but portable.
I had this back in the day. Good ol 2008 or so. God I miss it so much. Didn't know about the whole deposit thing so yeah, all my mons I sent there are stuck forever now which is sad since I think I deposited my first ever shiny, a Gastly, into there.
Before buying I read a review describing this as "interactive screensaver" and I couldn't agree more. That being said it was the time I had an action replay so my 999 Ranch of lvl100 shinys AND precious Miis was very fun. I was not a fan of the graphics though

oh man pokemon ranch was the first place i completed a living dex. at first it started out as just a place to store all my pokemon from my more temporary runs. cause i dont actually wanna lose them but i also didnt wanna trade EVERYTHING over. pokemon ranch solved that issue so well cause from what i recall you could mass move pokemon, instead of 6 at a time like pal park or some other limitations. it was very easy to just move everyone over to ranch then start your new game! that wii sadly got stolen (rip) but i still remember that ranch fondly. was basically the only thing i used the wii for as well lol. i have a wii in the office i bought a few years ago but never really touched, and ive been debating checking out pokemon ranch again if i can. just to see some of the lil sprites again. i remember youd get visits from trainers with VERY specific ranches you could visit. i really wish they did more with it. could have been a really nice side game with some more qol.
