Jazzu work for work’s sake I don’t believe is the answer. It needs to be in service of some sort of unifying purpose. Now, that purpose may change over time as you gain more clarity on who you are and what you stand for but nevertheless there needs to be an internal anchor there that either quietly or loudly communicates “this is it. This is moving toward what I stand for. This will bring me in some way toward what I’m meant to be doing”. Hope this helps. - Scott

Being young in today's world is tough, contrary to belief, we do live in the best of times, living better than kings. But the world is so full of distractions, indulgences, we have become so extravagant in working towards something. Our youth-culture is full of self gratification and indulging, with so much entertainment and distractions it's almost as if we don't know the meaning of hard work, we simply take the path of least resistance. I'm not saying this is wrong, but for most of you watching this video, like me, you want a purpose and want to be fulfilled, you admire the people who work hard and master a craft. Don't let the bullshit blind you.

1)[Jennifer Lawrence] - Because without gaining some sort of control over the business I lose some control over the creative which is most important.[Interviewer] The more you control the business, the more you can give flower to the creative.. or give wings to the creative.
2)[Interviewer to Henry Rollins] You tend to be incredibly modest in terms of describing talent, and you always seem to belittle your abilities to a certain extent, when clearly there's a reason why this everything you do has been working out... I think Henry Rollins, Mark Cuban and Sharukh Khan's message resonated with me. I like how Henry Rollins said he doesn't have it figured out. Cuban's comment about working like someone is going to take it (your goal, objective, what have you) is very truthful. Your dreams are like a baby and you have to teach them to walk, you have to work for them and nurture them. Sharukh Khan's message of working also reminded me of a Damian Marley interview. Pretty much they both say similar things: When I am not working I get depressed or a little anxious. Khan's work on the film set and of course Damian in the studio. Lovely videos.

I really appreciate this topic, Evan. I am not sure if it was because I am a female or not, but in my family of origin, I was not given this hard-core work ethic teaching growing up and I find I admire and respect the people in whom I see this type of work ethic. I look forward to incorporating some of the ideas I gleaned from this video. For me specifically, the getting up early, no matter how badly I don't want to do so, is probably the single most needed change, at least the first change, that I need to make, and several speakers mentioned it. I was usually allowed to let my feelings dictate my actions, and I have not always been as diligent as I would have liked. That is about to change. This is a very timely message for me. Thank you.

What resonated with me was when you said that you believe that "entrepreneurs are going to solve all of the world's problems.", that's a real good point right there. Also during this video I decided that it's good to work as hard as you actually can all the time, and when you're stuck you can just do some exercise, and when you're too physically exhausted to exercise you can just meditate, and by the time you're done with that you're reenergized enough to work again, and if you're not you just work anyway. :)

People who have high standards for their life often tend to simply not understand the useless topics discussed by "normal" people. That's how I understand the Bollywood guys statements. Also there's this need for progress that exists in certain people, that when they don't work, they become depressed, because no progress in being made. Its a very forward thinking mindset.

Super Soviet for sure. The film limitless hit on this point well: the protagonist felt if he wasn't going full speed ahead, he was going backwards.
Like in this video: shifting perspective to the imminent and taking action like you have limited time is critical.
I write on development, values and safety, I recently categorised my material here ronnie-writes.blogspot.com/p/content-by-category.html
