From my experience If you want a Moccasin Barker or Gucci is a safe bet, however for a welted shoe, no one comes close to Loake for quality and price, I have 5 pairs now.
I know Loakes are alright. But no one comes close? Come on dude. 😅
Sad they have stopped making leather bottomed Burfords..😢
