To be fair with Anti-Cheat these are usually on online games and unfortunately cheaters can kill these games. Even those using the most robust anti-cheat methods can't stay ahead of the cheaters, cheat tools are massive business so as soon as one exploit is fixed they are usually already working on multiple more so they can be ready as quickly as possible to give their customers a fixed version. Devs can only sit and wait, collect data of the cheating that ruins their users games and then work out how to fix it. The versions of the anti-cheat that can generally work on the Steam Deck are not usually as strong and even if that may result in more sales even those new people it brings in are likely to get annoyed and driven away if they are seen as being too passive towards cheaters as the game stops being fun. We basically need to accept that the Steam Deck running Steam OS unfortunately isn't a device for competitive online games because the few ruin the game it for everyone else
The majority of cheaters are on Windows, and anticheat against them (even kernel-level stuff) isn't effective. Banning Linux is just admitting they can't be arsed to support integration with Proton while pointing the finger at Linux.

@@jeremiahjohnson2784 Where did I say that? To support Linux though they would have to implement the less secure anti cheat game wide which would make it easier for cheat developers.
