Hearse absolutely rules,so unique in it's writing style. Crucifier rules too so stoked for thr new album this week. I've always said that Crucifier and GBK had a strong traditional metal influence in their sound. I remember hearing that Gelal was a huge fan kf Twisted Towel Dire. I know Cazz loves Crimson Glory. Definitely a cool approach to writing and arrangements.
The other guitarist from Argholsent was actually in Twisted Tower Dire back during their demo days. Definitely a band I plan on covering at some point!
hearse is so incredible !!! ive probably listened to Traipse Across the Empty Graves every week since it was released, more than that even ... im completely obsessed. ill be seeing crucifier in july, but gd do i wish it was hearse coming through houston.
Great vid, mate. Will need to check out more Crucifier. Need to start getting back on top of my music collection again, because when you mentioned Grand Belials Key, I was like "Oh shit! I remember them!", got a few of their albums that I haven't listened to in nearly a decade. Fuck, time goes too quick.
Fucking finally. Must be my birthday! Both some of my favorites in underground metal. Crucifier almost influenced me musically. They’re so fucking heavy yet so melodic at the same time I love them!
Cazz also did vocals for the first two GBK albums. Also you’ve covered most of the bands from this little circle now but there’s still one more. INFANTRY episode or no balls.
Infantry is like impossible to find anything about unless you actually buy their music. Cazz was also with them. There was one video I saw he was like surprised people were critical of him for being members of these bands which I thought was hilarious, like bro just reading the track listing to some of the albums he wrote lyrics for is upsetting to most people
@@PlutoTheGodi immediately grabbed the Sambo: First Blood CD when I saw it from Spruce Bog, which by the way ran by a cool dude. One of my favorite punk albums of all time
I should have expected an incoming Crucifier episode considering how much you've been talking about them lately. Cazz Grant is an absolute beast of a drummer/vocalist, and their new album is as of yet the only upcoming release from this year that I've gotten super hyped up for (other than the new Master album which I also thought was quite good). On top of that, the Hearse full-length is probably one of my favorite death/doom releases of all time due to how mournfully beautiful it's lead guitars are. Speaking of death/doom, I've heard you talk about the band Mythic before on your episode about Afflicted. What do you think about them? They're probably another one of my all-time favorites, and Dana Duffey is maybe the greatest female extreme metal vocalist ever. She's also in a black metal band called Demonic Christ if you're at all familiar with them. That Peter Steele video is fucking hilarious by the way. Great work as always!
Mythic's pretty spectacular. I feel like I used something off Mourning in the Winter Solstice as an intro or an outro or something like that a long time ago, but I can't remember when. I actually got to see Demonic Christ live once with Helleborus, Hellgoat, and Uada. Pretty great show!
Svolder is another one of those bands that would be way bigger if it weren’t for their lyrical content. Desecration of the Five Holy Pillars is one of the best sounding albums I’ve ever heard.
@@RichardCranium. they’re so nuts I can’t even take them seriously, as with most of the NS bands. Half the album is full on praising the Holocaust and the other half is denying the Holocaust happened and any deaths during WW2 was an inside setup to frame Germany LMFAO
Stronger than passing time has some of the best vocals in death metal period. Clear, yet not smoothed out and overproduced. It’s very hard to find that these days.
These guys must have a hard time finding members to play with them because they all bounce back and fourth to each other’s projects but I’m not mad about it, they know the recipe
Nice video bro awesome band too as well too as well also in the future could u go over the ohio bdm scene pls I think its very different imo of course u have regurgitation and necrotic disgorgement too as well too and then u have henious killings well to with Joe wolf that dose the pred vocals as well too bro loved that international brutal death metal vid u did bro it was so good dude u have great taste in metal keep up the amzing videos hope u get to 20 k subscribers soon as well too u deserve way more subs then u already have also could u do a video on devourment too as well in the very future as well too? But yeah bro awesome video like always hails 🤘🤘🙂
He'd need to cover Womb too, possibly Methadrone but that's a different beast entirely. Jiub doing a video on Sturnfuhrer and Craig's fake German impression would be funny as shit though.
I do like them but I don't know if I could pull off a whole video on just their stuff. Maybe as part of a larger video about Incantation-style bands like them, Excommunion, Vasaeleth, and Dead Congregation.
Interesting. I'm rather uneducated in field of usbm. Speaking of US Black Metal, any thoughts about Grave Pilgrim? I really like them. Hail from Poland!
Completely out of context but since you did a Branikald episode awhile back you might be interested in a Lascowiec episode or any other Blazebirth Hall band
Deathrune I've read up some weird stuff about. Heard some scam stories, but I saw a strange exchange of someone from Deathrune (I can only assume) making angry replies on a reddit thread shittalking the label. (Only on there for research purposes.) As for length, I expect shit taking forever from countries like Greece or Brazil. Shittiest part about these types of orders, for me, is they end up staying at the post office instead of delivering to you. Also Crucifier great band! Heard some demos then this vid came as well as uploads of the recent album. Gotta get my ass to the other full lengths
They still have only made one, imprefect album. But I love it, though. I don't know what about it is so unique, even though half of the songs sound very similar with each other
@@hrrdrr8428 the atmosphere and sound selection is very scifi but the melodies are medieval or folky i think thats what makes it unique. also some of the melodies are just really unique
Many people have had problems with Deathrune Records. I made an order 6 months ago and haven't recieved any information. I think the guy is either a scammer or an incompetent
Thank you for this wonderful video!!
That’s my brother!!! He’s been drumming forever!!! He’s the best!!!
Cazz has just shared this video lol, congrats
They're playing Texas in July! (and Finland with GBK in August)
Finland gig is in August, as part of Apocalyptic Rites.
Rumour is GBK is headlining that fest in July too
yes! at dtf. & i heard gbk is playing a fest in west texas sometime this year.
Man I'd sell crack to see GBK
is the show real?! how do you get tickets
Cazz is my big bro! He's done so much for me in the beginning of my underground gig. Forever grateful for him.

Since you're doing bands similar to GBK/Arghoslent, next episode should be about Svolder/Blood Libel

The drums are from Pete Sandoval/Morbid Angel? I swear I’ve heard that drums track before
Yep, it's the drum check instrumental from the Heretic album.

Every time I've looked for the second Crucifier album, the only available ones are overseas. Guess I need to bite the bullet and just order.
I got a copy of Sulfur Throne from Deathrune a while back, but expect a month's time before getting anything in the mail.
Crusifier goated band bro

My favorite Ohio death metal band is definitely Gutted, but Heinous Killings, Regurgitation, and Embalmer are pretty sick too.
