- the seals I'n this shock had deteriorated allowing fluid to leak leaving the customer not enjoying her ride. so I replaced it for her.
so you can do this all with basic hand tools apart from the spring compressors this set only cost me something like £20
you'll need
▪ Jack and axle stands
▪ powerbar, locking wheelnut tool and 19mm
▪ 17mm, 18mm and 8mm spanners and
▪ spring compressor
this job even though basic is very dangerous. if that spring comes loose and hits you, you could literally die so please be careful!
this is just a video on how I carry out this repair and if copied it is done so at your own risk I am not responsible for any damage or injury cause by following these steps
Hey. Thanks for the video. Just going to do my combo van. Long time since i did my own work, but needs must. Great vid.But first, i will need to see that i still have all the spanners and sockets. My son was always in my tool box fixing his BMX and nothing ever went back.
You got it bro! I believe in you!
@@EllsAutoCare I nailed it! thanks again.
@@interestingspagetti awesome well done mate!
I love the warning in the description 😂
The risks are real
Apart from the weather shield removal , is this the same process on a 2015 facelift insignia, to remove the coil ? Cheers
@@stevelake9333 I honestly don’t know
@@EllsAutoCare ok, thanks anyway 👍
Good video, but do get some ratchet spanners. Be a lot easier when doing top nut back up.
Iv got them mate. But your wont get a ratchet spanner in there the holes to narrow. Youll need a tidy off set spanner
What do you have the car jacked up on while you are doing the work, is it on an axel stand?
Yeah always use stands
This is nuts scrolling through youbtube this popped up donthis today 😂😂😂
It’s meant to be ☺️
You haven’t fitted the bump stop and dust boot
Your about 4 years to late
