I feel like I'm the only one who doesnt like the Maybelline instant age rewind concealer! 🥲 I remember it made my undereyes look so dry (most concealers do to be fair)
@@Kristina-yr6xgsame! And I also love the Lancome. I have really dry under eyes so I struggled finding a concealer that had good coverage but didn’t make my under eyes look dry AND that set on its own enough because powder just looks horrible under my eyes. Lancome checked all the boxes for me - thin, lightweight but good coverage, doesn’t look dry, and sets on its own so I don’t need any powder, and lasts all day. Yensa BC Concealer is my other holy grail. That one is more hydrating but still works great like the Lancome!
I loved the dior concealer SO much before they reformulated it 😭 The version that came in the plastic tube felt so nice and creamy and wasn’t too drying under my eyes, but when they switched to the glass tube it became so drying and really accentuated my fine lines. *sigh* a tale as old as time, companies are always messing up a good thing.
I returned the Dior Concealer in the uk this week and its really hard to return makeup here but it was so bad I was like either refund me or ill charge my credit card back and refund myself
I personally really love the givenchy one on my 51 year old skin. It really looks like nothing, but brings my makeup together. Ami Cole has an affordable setting powder that is lovely too!
as an oily girl i adore mac prep and prime (use sparingly, never under the eyes) and the OG laura mercier loose translucent. but looking for a more affordable one as well
The NYX serum concealer was the first concealer that didnt make me feel dry and crusty, but since im currently boycotting all loreal brands, it might be the perfect time to bite the bullet and try the Kosas!
I have combo skin and I love the nyx and Tower 28 concealer. The kosas one is too hydrating on me it doesn't last long and settles too much in my under eye lines. It does a really good job of covering up those flakey dry pimples. I just wish it lasted longer than 4 hrs on me
I’m 51, and have always had hollow under eyes! I’ve tried more concealers than I could ever count! I go back to the age rewind consistently! I do like the kosas new one, and the new Fenty one. The NARS in the pot creases on me, and I need to try the Haus labs one!
I don't think the NYX concealer is a dupe for the kosas concealer, BUT it's like an oily skin version of it for me. I love it so much, I've nearly gone through my entire tube!
I have dry skin, but still like the NYX because the coverage is sheer, which works well for me since I don't wear foundation. I see why it wouldn't work for someone looking for more coverage though!
The glass Dior concealer is the new one. An easy way to tell if you have the old or new formula is the DIOR logo is in all caps for the new formula. Same goes for the blushes and other products too
I cannot believe how much my oily, acne prone skin loves the ELF hydrating camo concealer. Doesn't break me out at all and doesn't get cakey or crease. I mix two colors together and get the perfect shade for my skin tone. :))))
I think hourglass actually has good yellow undertones that suit well for brown, olive toned skin. Most concealers are traditionally directed towards white women and they have white undertones that look ashy on other skin tones. So for me, the hourglass has been a game changer.
I purchased the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care & Glow Serum Concealer and its very hydrating. All the good of the original Teint Idole without drying out your under eyes.
The Tower 28 is sadly a no go for me. It settles in my fine lines and doesn’t look good initially or after time passes. And I wish Tower 28 had better neutral shade options. Glad it works for you at least 😊
Since you said you’re willing to spend a pretty penny…we both have very similar issues i.e. hallows, dry under eye where concealer sucks life out. I have had good luck with the Surratt Dew Drop Concealer. It’s very skin-like and a little goes a long way. I’m light (neutral tone) and in shade 3.
I love the NYX serum concealer all over my face as my base! Applied with a damp beauty blender, it looks so nice on my dry skin. I am planning to pick up the Tower 28 concealer because that one looks so pretty!
I agree with the Dior and Lancome concealers, I love the Kosas, haven't tried Tower 28 but my favourite is Monica Blunder cover! Great coverage that looks very natural and can be build up and amazing clean ingredients! 💖💖
Wish you would have made this 6 months ago. 😂 I went on a concealer bender and bought several different ones based on UA-cam reviews. I finally tried the Tarte creamy concealer and it is the best that I’ve found. It even beat out Natasha Denona’s new one. Of course, I’ll still be buying more because that’s just what I do. At least now I have your reference guide. Thanks for all you do!❤
Thank you so so so so much!!! I was looking for a fuller coverage concealer but instead I used your tip and left my concealer (tower 28) on my skin for around a minute or two and it became a full coverage concealer but still hydrating a skin like. This is life changing advice !! Thank you 🎉
I also have hallow undereyes and you seriously give the best concealer recommendations. I got the Tarte color corrector based on your recommendation and it’s soooo good. I do lean towards pot concealers, but I do like the Kosas! Looking to try the Tower 28 concealer next ❤️
I've been seeing that some skin products like concealers, foundations from companies that don't use alot of preservatives don't have the same shelf/ usage life as others. They can go bad early.
They definitely do! I avoid most clean brands because of it. Like Kosas. That went so bad so quick! And the scary part is before you have noticeable signs like smell, separation, etc. It went bad well before that, there just wasn’t noticeable signs and we would be putting that on our face, near our eyes. No thanks! There’s some I’ve used that actually have preservatives just not like parabens. But I always have to check the ingredients to see what they use for preservatives before I decide to buy. The preservatives a lot of the “clean” brands use, they need to use a crap ton more than the minuscule amount of like parabens or phenoxyethanol. I’d rather have the minuscule amount of the parabens or phenoxyethanol that’s been proven for years to be safe (aside from those who have an actual allergy to them) than the newer preservatives where they have to use a much higher concentration to even be close to as effective as parabens and phenoxyethanol. Another thing, a lot of the “clean” brands, IF they use any preservatives, they often aren’t effective preservatives for everything. Like they’ll only be effective against fungi and not bacteria or mold. Or they’ll only be effective against fungi and mold, not bacteria. A lot I’ve found in those brands are for mold and fungi, but not bacteria (at least not broad spectrum bacteria). So I just avoid them usually. But if there’s something I really want to try, I always check ingredients first to see what, if any, preservatives the brand uses. But I’d rather just not support any clean beauty 😂
I have dehydrated combo skin and the NYX is basically my HG concealer (and base product in general). The Kosas is good for me as well. I’m with you on the CP Pretty Fresh - no coverage but also drying and just garbage! I’m not even a concealer girlie, I don’t wear it often, but the Givenchy Prisme Libre, Dior Forever and Backstage, and GA Luminous Silk (I have the foundation and it’s not my favorite but it’s good and consistent) concealers are on my list to try, and I did not know about the new EL one so I will consider that too!
As I'm trying to narrow down what to buy for the sale and half of my cart is concealers, you have no idea how much I appreciate this video 😂 Oh and maybe the caliray concealer in dawn might be a better fit for you or a great mixer
I have recently discovered the Lancome Effacernes Longue Tenue concealer. This is the first concealer that does not make me look dry at all and it does not move with no powder. Instant love! The only downside is that the color is not quite right, so I mix in a bit of the Huda pink corrector. When I don't have the time for the mixing, I use the new Estee Lauder futurist, which is also very nice but makes me look dry by the end of the day.
I have dry skin & have trouble finding an under eye concealer.. I had high hopes for the Lacome concealer but it didn't work well under my eyes & I haven't tried it on other areas of my face because I was so disappointed with it but I will try it again. Glad to know I'm not the only one who wasn't happy with it. The Maybelline one has been a favorite but of course as I get older I have to be extra picky as well & I like the Hourglass creamy concealer & the regular one is not bad.
Hey Amanda! I would be soo curious to hear your thoughts on the UBER expensive sisley Paris phyto cernas eclat concealer. I hear it's a cult favourite for hollow/ dark circles and I've been really intruiged about it. However, at that insane price point it's hard to pull the trigger. Would LOVE to hear your thoughts on a more high end price point product thank you!!
I’d love to hear your thoughts about the Natasha Denona concealer because I’m trying to decide between trying it or the Haus Labs concealer. I also have deep set/sunken eyes with some under eye darkness and face rosacea. So, I’m basically looking for a chameleon I can just whack on and be out the door, without having to worry about how it will wear or crease throughout the day.
The Maybelline one is one of the few concealers ever that don't immediately make my undereyes look cakey. Still needs hydration underneath but it works great.
The Dior Corrector is fine with me except it dries fast if not blended quickly...the previous formulation was a more workable consistency 😊 thanks for a great video..
I find the Hourglass concealer a bit tricky to review. I loved it on my initial purchase. It was in October and there was plenty of moisture in the air. My skin was feeling plump and wasn’t dehydrated. I used a dot and blended easily with my finger. We move to the cooler months and I didn’t like it underneath the eyes. It could easily become a dry crepey mess. I have tried my finger, a brush, and a sponge. If I barely use more than a dot and I didn’t use a serum beforehand, it would definitely become crepey. The color would also become exaggerated and not blend in with my skin. On my face, it looks more seamless. I believe as the temperature rises, it should work. It is expected to be in the Eighties this weekend.
I bought the Tower 28 tofah based on your recommendation, and omg, where has this concealer been all my life. This and Maybelline Instant Age Rewind (for light days) are my Holy Grail. And the Drmtlgy Undereye Corrector for color correcting.
I agree about the true match concealer... My theory is that because of the hyaluronic acid it might work better in the summer/when there is humidity..... I also made sure my under eyes were moisturized and put the catrice color corrector under my eyes and it seems to help it not be so dry so I am also hopeful for the humidity to maybe help it not be so dry.
The "eraser" one only works for me if I put it on my hand first and then go in with light application and do another layer or 2 if need be. I use a brush and then fingers.
What a fantastic video! I love concealer and this video reminded me of some good stuff I already have in my stash, yay! My fave from the drugstore right now is Age Perfect
The Colourpop pretty fresh concealer didn’t look dry on me BUT it was one of the worst I’ve ever tried when it comes to creasing. Got the flower beauty serum concealer and like that much much more
thanks so much for explaining the details of how they work for you, it seems I have similar skin and have the same issues so I found this to be so very helpful in understanding the why.
i loved the finish and wear of the givenchy concealer (and green color corrector) but it breaks me out in bumps every damn time😭😭 folks with acne-prone skin maybe do a patch test first
Agree with you about Dior concealer, dries the hell out of my skin, and looks cakey also - like a layer of paste on my skin (no matter how moisturized I am) I loved Givenchy - It looked nice on me, but I needed a bit of a “brightening” and coverage for my sunken under eyes, I used it more like a foundation. I have the same opinion about NYX bare with me, and I REALLY recommend u to try my new find - Honest beauty concealer, it is brightening, thin but kinda thick at the same time? Like people are saying its a thinner version of Kosas, it has REALLY GOOD coverage, veryyy emolient and moisturizing on me! I feel like I’m applying a thin balm on my skin kinda!
Personally i use age rewind concealer, but i always remove the applicator, i remove the sponge first thing, i do 1 click a dot of product comes out, i put that under 1 eye and then repeat for other side, also it blends beautifully with just your fingers
Loved your review! Thank you. You’re so right. Each person is different. I really did think like the Kosas or Haus Labs. I am going to try the Tower 28, though, based upon your review. I have a left dry undereye and am struggling to find the perfect concealer to deal with that dreaded tear trough.
Thank you so much for your video about different concealers. Right now, I’m using the Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer and Tarte Shape Tape. I usually use the Tarte Shape Tape to cover my acne breakouts because the coverage is really good plus I like the way it smells lol it smells fresh or is that just me lol and I use the Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer under my eyes in the shade “light sand”. I haven’t had the chance to try other products but now I want to try Estée Lauder’s Futurist concealer and Kosas concealer. ❤
In my personal experience having very dry and sensitive skin around the eye area, liquid concealers just don’t cut it at all for me! They dry out my eyes and dry eyes means wrinkles and caking. If you have dry under eyes, hydrate with an emulsified primer meaning half water based, half water based. Non silicone based. And stick to an oil dominant concealer, look for ingredients like shea butter, aloe vera and emollient oils. Water based concealers contain mostly water which means more preservative and alcohol and both dry out the under eyes. Bobby Brown corrector is very good. Elf pot concealer is a great is a great dupe and affordable
Jee-von-shee (Givenchy) I have tried almost every concealer out there, from high end (Cle de Peau) to bargain (Wet and Wild) and in between. Unfortunately, even with priming (which in a lot of cases makes it worse) and prepping with serum or moisturizer (depending), the majority of them look drying, patchy, chalky, even dull. It's extremely difficult to find something with coverage, looks like skin and doesn't look drying. I'm in agreement with you: It's not easy to find products that work for you. Dry skin, mature skin, pigmented skin have the extra task of finding a dry down that doesn't look chalky or as you say, "Sucks the life out of you."
Can you please review the NARS creamy concealer and the Huda Beauty faux filter concealer? I have tried them both and it would be great if you reviewed those two products 🤍
I kept getting told that the Lancôme was fantastic for mature eyes, so I bought it and hated it. Totally agree it definitely sucks the life out, I do however love the House labs one. It’s perfect for my mature under eye and so is Natasha Denona, the Estée Lauder. All great
I don't like the fit me concealer It didn't suit my dry under eyes 😢 Also I need your opinion on Hudabeauty faux filter concealer and corrector it's so loved and I need your opinion on it 🙏🏻💜
Beauty Pie Under-eye Genius is even better than the Becca one. My favourite concealer is from Vieve and I have similar sunken undereyes and really dark skin around my eyes. These two products together are 👌
Nice, I want to try out a new concealer soon but I'm not sure which one yet. I'm almost through my second Nyx Bate with me concealer and just rebought the Maybelline Super Stay but I just want to try something new.
I’m surprised you don’t love the Nyx bear with me, it’s so beautiful under the eyes and all over. I’ve been loving the tower28, it’s taken the spot of my beloved Maybelline fit me. I love the hourglass for full coverage days. The Kosas didn’t work for me unfortunately
hi amanda! do you have any thoughts on the nars radiant creamy vs the armani luminous silk concealer? nars has been my tried and true for under eyes and full face but I’ve been wanting to branch out a bit! appreciate these vids very much!! 🫶
for the tower 28 i gotta say, the only reason i bought it was bc i had a HORRIBLE eczema flareup this summer. I mean like, my eyelids and my under eyes were flaking. It was bad. I discovered tower 28 was a brand specifically for eczema + this is the only one I can trust to not anger my skin. But that's probably why it doesn't crease much, it's kind of fighting against that dry skin
I want to try the iris and Romeo, but not enough reviews. I didn't take the chance during the sale. I love the Haus and might be a repurchase, which rarely happens for any makeup products! I'm 50 with dark under eyes. My main gripe with concealers is settling and cracking.
kosas one is really good but weirdly it doesn’t get along with my bobbi brown under eye vitamin enriched eye base. maybe too much caffeine when using both
I had to erase that Maybelline Erase concealer from my life as soon as I put it on when I bought it a couple of years ago. I still remember that nothing ever made my under eyes sting and burn more, not even an expired product😂
The only concealers I've ever got along with (I've yet to try the kosas) are the nyx serum concealer, the catrice tru skin hydrating, the item beauty (no longer available 😭).
It's so funny we have the same concealer experiences! I haven't tried as many as you have and my skin isn't SUPER dry but my undereyes are and the colourpop pretty fresh concealer was HORRIBLE on my under eyes. Oh my god it was so bad. And it's crazy because the tinted moisturizer is one of my favorites! I use it to mix with a lot of other foundations that I think are a little too dry for me. I also tried the tower 28 concealer on your recommendation and it's my holy grail concealer now! First one I've found that doesn't crease on me and looks AMAZING. I have slightly hollow under eyes and a little bit of dark circles and it's MAGIC.
guys, an affordable concealer that is good/cheaper i suggest wet n wild concealers. i prefer to use elf bc ive always used them but if im on a budget wet n wild is amazing. if ur trying to save money!
Kosas is so gummy and cakey on me, for both under eye and spot cover. I never like how it looks and I can’t believe how many tries and repurchases I gave it. Flower serum concealer is not as light as the name suggests to me and also didn’t love it. Currently testing Tower 28, and so far it’s decent. Agh concealer is so hard.
Do you get Inglot in America?? I quite like their undereye consealer in a pot. Also the Elf and i bought a new one recently, cant remember, it may have been revlon or loncome, it was very nice...
I wanted to try the Natasha Denona, but then I stumbled upon both the old Light Illusion and the new Get Real Serum concealers by Flower Beauty hanging side by side at TJMaxx for less than $5. apiece. Bought them both; love them both. Laughed my a** off! Why try the expensive ones when the cheapies work so well? The new one is great for my eye area, while the old formula is a great spot concealer on other parts of my face. Both were available in two adjoining colors, so...perfect! Used to love Nars Radiant Creamy, but now...
I thought I was the only one who feels that way about the Lancôme concealer, because so many people swear by it. Especially people my age (40s) or older.

Yes the maybelline was so dry and I was 10 year younger, but the lancome works for me..😅 othets of course, too...dior, sisley, nyx etc.

'The car mirror doesn't lie.' So-o true. Should be written in a coffee mug! Thanks for the review. You've given me a few concealers to consider.

Yall’s concealer’s disappear? i have nyx and kosas and i love both of them ❤
That one doesn’t work under my eyes at all, settles into my lines. But I love it has a foundation!! Great for traveling for me
NYX is a L’Oréal brand????😭😭
I was searching “best concealers 2024” on YT this morning. Thank you! 🙌🏽
Same!!
Notes for myself:
Haus Labs (mostly for acne), Saie (not very full coverage), Tower 28, Kosas, Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy

I think Kosas is creamy and nyx is more liquidy
I have dry skin, but still like the NYX because the coverage is sheer, which works well for me since I don't wear foundation. I see why it wouldn't work for someone looking for more coverage though!
I really like Nyx especially for the price point. Also great as a foundation if you're travelling.
I'm almost done with the Nyx concealer too. It's worked nice for my combo/oily skin.

God I wish you add chapters or make it a ranking system
Me too that would make it a lot easier
Yeh I'd like to know the top choice for covering dry spots and the top for hollows
I wish more people would talk about how good the Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy is! That and the House Labs are my favorite concealers ❤
I loveeee tower 28 so much!! You’re so right about it, thin consistency but also adds coverage just like a serum. Amazing
I purchased the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care & Glow Serum Concealer and its very hydrating. All the good of the original Teint Idole without drying out your under eyes.

Lol I never even use undereye concealer and have oily skin and yet I still watch all of Amanda's concealer videos
you've been here since the beginning 💓
Amanda you always read my mind when you post! This was exactly what I was looking for! First blushes then concealers😆
Yes, now this is my heaven! Due to also having sunken, dark circles.
A couple years ago you inspired me to buy the kosas concealer bc we share similar under eye issues and I have loved it ever since 😊
I am a little new to makeup and concealers are the thing that I buy the most. So this video is lovely ❤. Thanks
I'm just looking for a good undereye concealer so really thank you for this video! ❤

I also have deep set eyes and you're the only person I take concealer recommendations from.
Nyx bear with me concealer is the best and so creamy!!
Woohoo concealers finally ❤❤❤
Would love to see a video for best spot concealing!
My favorite concealers for my dry skin are the nyx serum, tower 28 and the Kosas.
I bought the Tower 28 tofah based on your recommendation, and omg, where has this concealer been all my life. This and Maybelline Instant Age Rewind (for light days) are my Holy Grail. And the Drmtlgy Undereye Corrector for color correcting.
You should try the Loreal Infallible concealer and let us know what you think about it, it’s been my holy grail for 3-4 years💖 love it
I agree about the true match concealer...
Love these kind of videos
Jee-von-shee (Givenchy)
I have tried almost every concealer out there, from high end (Cle de Peau) to bargain (Wet and Wild) and in between.
How do you declluter makeup products?. Like lipsticks?. What exactly do you do after you decide which one to get rid off?.
You didn’t post the pic of the Tarte creamy version
I am waiting for that taste shape tape picture you were supposed to insert :D
Can you please review the NARS creamy concealer and the Huda Beauty faux filter concealer? I have tried them both and it would be great if you reviewed those two products 🤍
I kept getting told that the Lancôme was fantastic for mature eyes, so I bought it and hated it. Totally agree it definitely sucks the life out, I do however love the House labs one. It’s perfect for my mature under eye and so is Natasha Denona, the Estée Lauder. All great
I don't like the fit me concealer It didn't suit my dry under eyes 😢
Also I need your opinion on Hudabeauty faux filter concealer and corrector it's so loved and I need your opinion on it 🙏🏻💜
Love the Huda one
Beauty Pie Under-eye Genius is even better than the Becca one. My favourite concealer is from Vieve and I have similar sunken undereyes and really dark skin around my eyes. These two products together are 👌
Been waiting for this deep set eyes hollow under eyes I am just older 😢
love me the fit me concealer
Nice, I want to try out a new concealer soon but I'm not sure which one yet. I'm almost through my second Nyx Bate with me concealer and just rebought the Maybelline Super Stay but I just want to try something new.
Amanda wich your number 1 pick for covering smoothing also luminous non dryiny undereye ? Estee lauder /tarte ultracreamy /armani/Kosas/tower?
I’m surprised you don’t love the Nyx bear with me, it’s so beautiful under the eyes and all over. I’ve been loving the tower28, it’s taken the spot of my beloved Maybelline fit me. I love the hourglass for full coverage days. The Kosas didn’t work for me unfortunately
I just ordered the tower 28 concealor because you love it so much. Hopefully it works for me and i got the right shade !
The Giorgio Armani concealer is probably the best i have ever tried. I have combination skin!
hi amanda! do you have any thoughts on the nars radiant creamy vs the armani luminous silk concealer? nars has been my tried and true for under eyes and full face but I’ve been wanting to branch out a bit! appreciate these vids very much!! 🫶
for the tower 28 i gotta say, the only reason i bought it was bc i had a HORRIBLE eczema flareup this summer. I mean like, my eyelids and my under eyes were flaking. It was bad.
I discovered tower 28 was a brand specifically for eczema + this is the only one I can trust to not anger my skin. But that's probably why it doesn't crease much, it's kind of fighting against that dry skin
could you try the shiseido concealers?
everyone loves the elf camo concealer and ive bought 2 bottles. it wipes right off during application
Most of the concealers you mentioned are unavailable in my country. I use Neutrogena and was hoping to hear your opinion. 🌹
The Nyx concealer does not cake under eyes but does not cover dark circles
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away is great!
An expert! Thank you ❤
guys, an affordable concealer that is good/cheaper i suggest wet n wild concealers. i prefer to use elf bc ive always used them but if im on a budget wet n wild is amazing. if ur trying to save money!
I have all of those!!! I am loving the Kulfi concealer and rye Laura Mercier. I am 71 and those have minimal creasing for me
What about Natasha Denona? I wanted to hear your thoughts on that one.
What's your fav water base and silicone based concealer?
I only use, Lancôme, Dior or Tom Ford.
There is a color corrector for the Caliray product. Please give it a try and let us know. Thanks
I thought I was the only one who feels that way about the Lancôme concealer, because so many people swear by it. Especially people my age (40s) or older.
