I was triggered by fear just now. It's the kind that stops you in your tracks. I pulled out my CBT cards and the wisdom that came forward was, 'Ask yourself instead of worrying - what quality of presence do I want to bring to any challenges I meet?'. By shifting your focus to the quality of your presence rather than the fear itself, you position yourself much more powerfully to face whatever comes your way. Wishing everyone safety and strength!

So much wild weather here in most of the U.S. Los Angeles record breaking fires, once in a lifetime amounts of snow across the South. Here in Maryland we've had single digit, below freezing temperatures all week, when usual is above by 10 degrees. Please imagine all your beloved trees standing tall and emerging from the storm unscathed, good thoughts replacing fear. Oh my dear...how you love that land and what Mother has put on it. My little spot is almost an acre in the midst of a town...the house I grew up in. We planted trees as children that were given to us by public school programs...all about Arbor Day I believe. Anyway, the trees are now 60ish years old and I have lost several..one storm took out three as they toppled like dominoes. I grieved. Then I realized Mother Nature will be fine. Other trees are taking their place in line. Our idea of what it should be and look like is a human perspective. Storms are a reality of Nature. If we are to live in true peace we must adapt to Her changes. It can be hard. The good part is the fact the trees and plantings were loved in the first place. Hunker down with the pup. It will be ok.

When I saw the path of this storm, I was very worried for us all. I live in Brittany France & we cop it bad from the storms off the Atlantic so I know how you feel dear Collette. Time and again we have seen that happen in Florida with hurricanes. You just never know. Even the slightest change can make a big difference. Anyway, I pray that the worst of the winds stay higher above the ground where they will not do damage. Whenever we prepare for a hurricane, I go outside and talk to the elements, the Earth, and the trees. Your woodland is so beautifully diverse and dense, and trees that are near each other support one another as well. I'll be waiting to hear some good news on Saturday. Sending blessings and good wishes from hurricane country in south Louisiana. Your property has stood the test for twenty years of storms - all will be well. There may be some loss of trees - I always talk to the trees, tell them what's coming and that I need them to be strong. The most important thing is that you and Patsy are safe and I think that cottage is very safe. I know what you mean about night storms, they are very scary but the dawn always comes. Charge your devices so you can stay connected to the weather service, get some treats and maybe something to add to your coffee to take the edge off. As we say here "See you on the other side". ❤️

Storms are scary because they are things we cannot control or even prepare our property for. Wind & water are very destructive. I hold my breath whenever we get a bad storm, especially alone. (I’m on my own with a husband with dementia & children far from home.) Let’s hope Colette you’ lol come thru unscathed. ❤

You stay strong my garden was smashed last week by a violent storm and wind . Four trees blew over. One mango snapped multiple branches and hit the cottage . The big acacia out front was decimated have no shade . It was a big task cleaning it up was a feirce storm ⛈️ a mini cyclone as in Australia 🇦🇺 and the west . Also the tropics got hail first time in over 40 years , crazy weather events . Stay safe everyone

Whatever happens Colette, outside in nature, nature will repair itself! I remember the the Great Storm that swept across the South in October 1987. Terrifying night, no storm has ever beaten that in my book, and there were no warnings either! I think now we are trained to fear the worst! So batten down what you can, find a cosy spot and hunker down with Patsy. I'm usually awake in the early hours, probably listening to the gales myself, so I will send you a good wish vibe then! You stay strong my garden was smashed last week by a violent storm and wind . Four trees blew over. One mango snapped multiple branches and hit the cottage . The big acacia out front was decimated have no shade . It was a big task cleaning it up was a feirce storm ⛈️ a mini cyclone as in Australia 🇦🇺 and the west . Also the tropics got hail first time in over 40 years , crazy weather events . Stay safe everyone

Whatever happens Colette, outside in nature, nature will repair itself! I remember the the Great Storm that swept across the South in October 1987. Terrifying night, no storm has ever beaten that in my book, and there were no warnings either! I think now we are trained to fear the worst! So batten down what you can, find a cosy spot and hunker down with Patsy. I'm usually awake in the early hours, probably listening to the gales myself, so I will send you a good wish vibe then! Take care, and stay positive.👍❤
