    Dang the bumper is nearly $700! I didn't know you were rolling in it like that!
    On a serious note yet another great video. I respect that you actually took the time to solder and heat shrink the connections. So many people half ass wiring. When I got my '95 XLT Supercab the aftermarket radio was installed with wire nuts and the speaker wires were just twisted and wrapped in tape.

    • @TheMinuteMasters

      Right! Lol Brand ambassador has some benefits. 👌On a serious note, most aftermarket bumpers are $1000 starting.
      Thanks man! I ran into the same problem with my previous vehicle. There were crappy crimp connectors causing all kinds of electrical issues. But damn! Wire nuts is a whole new level of half ass.

      @@TheMinuteMasters Oh that's sweet I didn't even know you were a brand ambassador and yea aftermarket bumpers especially off-road style ones are expensive. I more so meant that it was out of my budget and not that its a bad price or anything. Desolate makes high quality parts. Considering the cost of everything especially metal skyrocketing I'm sure they cost more to make now than they ever have. I know in my industry every single damn thing we use went up in price at least 15% over last year. Somewhere around 30% increase in expenses vs 2021 with the same production size.

    Nice job and bumper, much easier now to use those solder and heat shrink connectors all in one. I just installed a touchscreen stereo and front
    ear cameras on my 95 and those connectors make life easy with only a lighter or heat gun needed.

    Nice job on that! Personally I prefer the bigger bumper for my use but this is definitely the way to go if you want to remove it but not leave the back bare. Looks neat! I’d be a bit concerned about those LED lights poking out the way they do - seems like they might get snapped off fairly easily. You were braver than I would have been with that shiny tailgate so close to the wrestling match with the old bumper - I’d have taken it off and put it out of harms way because I’m pretty sure I’d have scraped it! 👍🏻

    • @joeidaho5938
      @joeidaho5938 2 роки тому +1

      Ya, I prefer the bigger bumper...and especially because I put things in the back for work. I need that bumper to be able to get up and into the box of the truck. I don't want a thinner bumper....as it increases the chance of slipping when trying to climb onto it. Also, this one doesn't wrap around the corner of the truck.

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks man!🤙 I could go either way on bumper size. I never saw myself as a low profile bumper guy until I saw this style. I’m curious to see how the LED lights hold up too. They honestly don’t stick out too much and they’re pretty solid the way they both on. Yeah lol, in hindsight I would’ve remove the tailgate too.

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  2 роки тому +1

      I had the same reservations as you. I’ll probably do an up close video of the bumper in the future. But I had it powder coated with a slip resistant coating. It’s the equivalent of 100 grid sand paper. Granted it doesn’t give you much to stand on but I realized when I put things in the bed of my truck I hardly stand on the rear bumper anyway. Not wrapping around the corners is a shame but I also realize that either way the bed is going to get damaged depending on the force. I’ve been rear ended quite a bit and most the time it’s been straight on…fingers crossed. Lol

    Hey Stevie 👋 how's it going bro. I know what I'm about to ask is nothing related to this video. So first is first I appreciate all you're video's. We'll all of us subscriber's appreciate how much knowledge you given us thank you very much. You've have saved me almost alot of money fixing my 95 ford f150 XL. Okay now a few favors if you can. Will there be any possibility to make a video of how to diagnose ABS on the 95 fords. I been trying to figure out my ABS issues can't resolve them. The things I did we're. 1) check the ABS fuse passed 2) checked/change the ABS sensor all good. 3) checked the ABS cables voltage all good. My brakes light also illuminate Am I missing something I don't know!???. My next one can you make a video of idle issues/diagnose so my 95 ford when I drive it between 55-65 mph I can feel my truck idling up and down but when I drive 35-45 mph I have no problem no idling problems at all. Thing's I we're 1) inspected/changed my idle air control valve 2) inspected all my vacuum lines all good. Still having issues. Am I missing something or didn't look at something that I missed. I think that's all. Thank you once again for everything. #help #😁 #thankyou.

      Hey man! Great!🤙
      Not a problem. Ask away. You are most welcome! I appreciate all of your support watching my channel.
      I don’t have any video on the schedule for how to diagnose issues with the ABS system. I have experienced one of these OBS trucks with that issue. I can’t remember what the fix was but I know right now I’m going to be googling around and see what people say.
      As for your idol issue, there are lots of things that can cause that. I like to recommend doing several checks. First one is check your timing and make sure to set properly second you can always check your fuel pressure and make sure that’s reading properly, third you can hook a vacuum gauge up to your truck and make sure you don’t have any weird vacuum leaks or issues there, and lastly I’d always a good idea to read the codes.
