- Whilst hiding from a gang of bullies in the sewers, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell) comes face-to-face with The Shape himself, Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney), who has been in hiding since the events of Halloween Kills 4 years ago.
From Halloween Ends (2022): Four years after her last encounter with masked killer Michael Myers, Laurie Strode is living with her granddaughter and trying to finish her memoir. Myers hasn't been seen since, and Laurie finally decides to liberate herself from rage and fear and embrace life. However, when a young man stands accused of murdering a boy that he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that forces Laurie to confront the evil she can't control.

I felt the material and plot were a little disjointed, and they strayed a little far from the formula. But, otherwise, I agree. I do think that the ratings were kinda harsh.

The only noteworthy thing about Halloween Ends was the long-awaited final showdown between Michael & Laurie. Everything else about Halloween Ends was disjointed, disappointing & anti-climatic.

Quite a bit to say about this meeting. Michael Myers may have resided in the sewers but he would still kill anyone that got too close with this being one of the few exceptions. Why he spared him was up in the air even if I say he saw the evil in Corey and found a kindred spirit. Even the music said Corey crawled out of that filthy place an entirely different person. The reaction after that old man fell dead said Corey was stunned by what he did, but not traumatized unlike with Jeremy.

Idk if it's just me but the reason why I'm not a big fan of of this movie because it threw off the concept of a final battle of a franchise instead of adding Corey to it tbh now if it was like how the would've showed the babysitting scene at the end and turned into a rebirth ordeal then that's ok

Depends on which iteration we are talking about. Original version Michael wins, as he's part supernatural and sustained more damage as Jason did. Thorn Michael and Supernatural Jason, none of these win as they confirmed both immortal. Remake Jason will win against remake Michael I think, he's not only tall, strong but he's also very very fast. Michael is too slow for him, not to mention they are both definitively human in the remakes. Meaning they both can die.

WTF were the filmmakers thinking all of a sudden in the final film in this trilogy sidelining Michael Myers for most of the film in favor of a brand new character that nobody wanted or asked for who is just suddenly shoved into the story when the movie should've been solely about the conclusion to the iconic Michael Myers & Laurie Strode feud.

@@edoardodisertoris6105 If they wanted to debut a new character with ties to Michael than they should've done so in the first or preferably second movie and tell that plotline thru out the last 2 films, not wait until the very last movie in the trilogy which simply not only got in the way of the build-up to Michael & Laurie's long-awaited final showdown but also made the new character feel like a sudden last minute addition that just felt forced & convoluted.

@@DragonHeart613Agreed. In fact, this scene should've been Corey's death right there. And then, we would've gotten the rest of the movie focused on both Michael and Laurie before their final showdown.
“The final showdown between Laurie & Michael, it all Ends here” yeah the last 15 mins of the movie. Still can’t believe they did this movie like this :/
