I met the actor/stuntman who portrays Michael in the recent trilogy. One day I was shopping at Whole Foods in Columbia, South Carolina. Before leaving I noticed a man with a familiar face paying for his groceries. In my mind I said, "That looks a lot like James Jude Courtney." Dismissing the possibility, figuring it was someone that looked like him. I heard this inner voice in my head saying check your phone, typed his name into Google and pulled up pictures comparing them, receiving my confirmation. I quietly approached asking, "Excuse me sir. Are you Mr. James Jude Courtney?" He gave a smile and said, "Yes, I am." I complimented him on his performance as Michael. I apologized if I bothered him as it wasn't my intention to bring any unwanted attention. He told me not to worry about it and proceeded to take two selfies with me. Once again, I informed him how he did a great job, and he shook my hand. All around great guy and made my day.
I have a similar story. I was driving downstate when I blew a tire. Luckily, I had a spare. I pulled over to the side of the road and as I was busy jacking my car up, and this older man stopped and asked me if I needed help. He gave me an extra hand and pretty soon I had the spare on and was back on my way.

Halloween Kills: Michael Myers the more he kills, he transcends into something unstoppable to defeat. Halloween Ends: Michael Myers needs a wheelchair to move
Laurie's speech hear is why people reviewed ends negatively(myers tanking all that damage in kills ) to then being as he is in ends also the fact that his fight with Laurie was quite anti climactic due to the awesome scenes in kills(fire fighter scene and mob scene and myers owning them all) then to lose to Corey and Laurie which felt disappointing not a terrible movie just that the directors wrote themselves into a corner
Until proven otherwise, I believe the original Halloween Ends before the reshoots had Michael dead from this from the very beginning. The way Kills wraps up makes it seem like he just shrugged off all that punishment, killed Karen and disappeared into the night. I think the first cut of Halloween Ends started with a recap of this but it showed that Michael didn't get away again. He crawled off into the sewer and died. His legend is larger than ever but unbeknownst to everyone, he's actually already dead. Then Corey accidentally kills the kid and becomes an outcast, finds Michael's body, takes the mask and becomes the next incarnation of the Shape. I'm thinking that might have been the better movie. Though I actually don't dislike Halloween Ends as is..
@@davidsavage5630i buy it. i like the movie we got but i would like this better. commits more fully to the idea. if corey was shown to be alive at the end would help too. or if they fed corey into the machine wearing the mask to kill the legend once and for all.
@@bloodlinefilms Yes...I believe the ending would work with Laurie feeding Corey's body (wearing the mask) into the machine at the end to kill Myers' legacy and the next incarnation of the Shape in one move. It also retroactively improves Halloween Kills because evil would, in fact, have died that night. Makes the mob look like less of a joke too. They got him. But it took all of them..
Just because Laurie says it doesn’t mean it’s true lol she kinda exaggerated his abilities. He’s still very inhuman but the injuries he’s sustained through all those years of abuse he put his body through finally caught up to him. Most of those injuries he’s suffered through no normal man could’ve survived let alone at the age he was before he died.
No, it's not...lol. I don't think it's bad. I'm not one of the fans that dumped on it when it came out, but it is FAR from being a "masterpiece". People are really starting to throw that word around.
Ends is complete garbage and ruins what they established in Killes. Ends is the prime example on how not to end a trilogy or franchise. Kills is a masterpiece. Finally more people are starting to realize it. Even John Carpenter said Kills is the superior film of Blum Houses 3
To me this is where the modern trilogy ends in the same nature of the original film; Michael returned to his home town, killed many, ruined lives, traumatized many, and disappeared into the night. The unstoppable nature of Michael is amazingly showcased in this film along with the mob thinking they’re going to destroy evil but they clearly forgot who they we’re dealing with. I’ve enjoyed this film since the day it came out and I’ll probably always enjoy it even with its issues.
Seeing Micheal hit vital points, Achilles heel, neck ARTERY, so fast that no one can keep up. He looked like a trained assassin more than some slow walking slasher. It’s amazing honestly
If I remember correctly, in the comics it's shown that Michael has a very well informed mind about the human body; in one autopsy scene in the comics he strategically slashed the person's throat deep enough to sever the voice box so the person can't scream and then went for the vital arteries and slowly sliced them open to make the death as painful as possible. Michael Myers knows *EXACTLY* what he's doing with that kitchen knife, and to be honest, for a guy who's been locked up for most of him life he has a disturbing amount of knowledge on the human anatomy.
The moment Michael reaches down and picks up his crispy mask, then that fantastic score kicks in, it's great. But even though I like the new Halloween trilogy, I do think the director's insistence on claiming the Michael Myers character wasn't supernatural in any way was a mistake, as the tone of the films themselves are not natural or depicted as realistic at all, plus all the injuries and damage Michael received throughout the films would obviously kill any normal person. So they should've embraced the supernatural abilities of the character a little bit more.🎃
Yeah it makes no sense at all as no normal old man with just a knife 🔪 would have won this fight against a mob of like 20-30 people armed with guns and melee weapons of their own.
What’s weird is that they were hinting at this supernatural curse that Michael had in 2018 and kills especially. Everyone got excited for a possible Curse of the Thorn reimagining only to have him treated like e muppet the entirety of Ends. They have went as far as having Laurie explicitly, say that Michael’s just the man. Very very confusing why they went that route instead of where they were shooting for since the first film in 2018. I would like to get some more information on this.
I feel like it's not a supernatural curse like whatever that rune garbage was. He's just a near superhuman serial killer. I don't ask questions. I think John Carpenter said he wanted Michael to feel like a force of nature. Unstoppable. Here we are.
The extended cut is the best version of the movie as the theatrical ending is sorta bad but the extended ending is the most emotional and epic end to the movie!!
Imagine explaining how micheal gets stronger and transcends into someone you can’t kill and saying brute force can’t kill him making him more terrifying… and then coming out with halloween ends 💀
Maybe she isn’t referring to physically unkillable and more his legacy being unkillable? Hence why they did what they did to his body, after all, just the body being dead isn’t dead enough to kill his legacy, everything has to be destroyed
I don’t know why people complained about this scene not being realistic. First of all, if Halloween was realistic Michael would have died in the first film after being shot three times and falling off the roof. This was obviously a call back to all the previous films, canon or not, on the simple fact that Myers is an unstoppable force of evil. It raises the question that has persisted so long about him, is he even human? How is he not dead? How does he keep going and killing… And I simply just believe that it is because he is a symbolic representation of pure evil, and how unstoppable it is and always will be in the world. This scene was amazing to me, as a fan that has watched all the films, I never questioned it. It’s Michael Myers, of course this little mob wouldn’t kill him. HE will kill them, that’s for sure. Edit: Laurie is basically saying all of what I just said.
The problem is that the creators of this trilogy stated that Michael would not have supernatural elements. He survived a lynching and shooting, I'm sorry, but if that's not supernatural, I don't know what is.
@@StorytellingManit’s because he is fuelled by an entity that gives him his strength and protects him at the same time . when someone is so far over the edge like that they dont go down easy seems like. Whether he was possessed or just crazy abused as a child or a child who just went nuts depending on what timeline you watch, he will not go down very easy if the mind is driven so far over the edge
@@globalsaturation7333yup thats what i was trying to kinda get at in my comment because I know there's so many different timelines of Michael and it's fascinating really because it drives a person to this point that they have to constantly kill kill kill and for that reason if they don't stay down, as if they don't know die
This was so disappointing. People show up to kill unkillable Michael Myers in their pajamas (see the guy with the two by four). Bracket aims his gun...doesn't think to just unload it. Truck drives onto the street...why not run him over? I know it's a horror movie but this is decades after Scream! And what's with the bat? Is that the bat from The Natural? A bat?! By this stage in Kills, about 40 bodies later, they need to evacuate the town and call in a B52 strike.
Myers isn't unkillable in this movie though, the issue was that they were trying to kill him with normal ways and they thought they could kill him that way, but what they didn't realize was Michael can't be killed through Normal ways.
It was almost laughable how not one weapon was used on Michael's head. Karen stabs his back with both the pitchfork and the knife, Tommy and the others beat him with bats and boards and whatever else but never in the head and most stupid of all, they unload bullets into him at point blank range yet NEVER in the face!!
All the weapons they brought, and no one thought “hey let’s bring axes, swords, or machetes to chop off his hands, arms, legs, and head!!! Then we can burn his body!!”
Mob: Winning Also Mob: Stops fighting suddenly Karen: Doesn't stab Michael in a lethal area like the head Also Karen: Leaves the knife in Michael's body This is why these horror movie characters always get killed
Bro got shot 3 times and beaten many times and still got back up and thought how bs this was. These movies are never ending and they need to stop making these and this one was the one they should have ended on and the mob should have killed him in the streets.
It was plain and clear you could tell that even an angry mob could not kill Michael because as expected he in turn killed them all instead which goes to show Halloween Kills is a Michael Myers win for a change.
Some people asked why the revolver guy didn’t shoot Michael in the head. You instinctively shoot center mass. The dude is close, brandishing a knife, he’s not going to stay still and let you line up a headshot. But then... He’s Michael Myers.
there is a case, a video revolving around fb still i think, look it up. his name is amokrane sabet, he lived in bali. a f***ing real michael myers, in a f-ing broad daylight, he's not facing one, or two, or 3 bullet, but tens of it shoot by tens of police. an ex mma fighter charging through rains of bullet with nothing but a knife. jesus christ. in the end, he managed to grab one of them and stab. the sad things is, if myers were wrong because of killing. Amokrane was wrong because of refusing to pay for the meal he ate. He ended up paying with his life for a f-ing food.
They were trying to point out that all the injuries he sustained finally caught up with him. Look at what happened to Thanos after he snapped. He became horribly disfigured
Exactly! It's well known how strong he is and how quickly he recovers from injuries, but they still came so unprepared. Why did they give him a break, a chance to stand up and attack? They hit and shot him a couple of times and then just watched him laying on the ground... They should have continued hitting him non-stop until they literally passed out from exhaustion...
A lot of people changed their minds about this film after Ends came out. Was Kills perfect? No. But it was far more respectful to Michael than it’s sequel.
And with this scene folks, I tell people that's why he was in the condition he was in ENDS. He took a beating, gun shots, and a huge kitchen knife to the back. "He was so weak in ENDS" - This is why!
I love how the mob appear and they try to look badass surrounding MIchael and hes completely oblivious all he cares about is putting his mask back on, then when they finally have him down and Sheriff Docker goes in for the kill, Boom Michael just snaps into beast mode and massacres them all.

After ends I really feel like kills would have been the best one. If they didn't scream evil dies tonight over and over.
I love this movie more than ends
I remember someone commenting on the Ends trailer saying they'd walk out if they hear "evil dies tonight" again 😂
It had more issues than just the chanting of "Evil Dies Tonight!" lol. While I actually didn't hate Ends like most other Halloween fans do, I still think that Halloween (2018) is the best of the Blumhouse trilogy and is my favorite of those three films.
Always that moment of hesitation in delivering the fatal blow that costs characters their lives in movies like this.
I always say that lol they keep messing around w him and they end up dying
And nobody brought a chainsaw.
@@OgrematicThat or a sword. I’d honestly consider it more believable for someone like Tommy to own one than rely on a baseball bat considering what he saw as a child.
@@bagman234 A bat will do crushing damage, which can be more debilitating than a cut. You can cut an arm or a leg off, but crushing bone and tendons can be worse.
@@Ogrematic I’d argue losing an arm at the elbow or shoulder from a sword would be worse than a broken bone because you need to worry about blood loss as well.
Halloween Kills: Michael Myers the more he kills, he transcends into something unstoppable to defeat.
Halloween Ends: Michael Myers needs a wheelchair to move
Bc that’s what LAURIE thinks
@@Utoobzzthat actually makes sense. If only more people were open to what can be instead of being blinded by what should’ve been
@@Utoobzz same people thought Zeus died in Love and Thunder. He was still alive in the post credit scene
@@davidsavage5630 agreed this does sound superior as opposed to the way the studio executed it contradicting their own writing
0:46 Best scene of the whole franchise when he dawns the mask again.
This is a masterpiece. Then they made halloween ends and wasted everything.
No, it's not...lol. I don't think it's bad. I'm not one of the fans that dumped on it when it came out, but it is FAR from being a "masterpiece". People are really starting to throw that word around.
No they made Halloween Ends and ended everything
Halloween 2018 was a masterpiece and the original.
@@danflex680218 was not a masterpiece! It was no better than kills but both are way better than Ends!
Ends is complete garbage and ruins what they established in Killes. Ends is the prime example on how not to end a trilogy or franchise. Kills is a masterpiece. Finally more people are starting to realize it. Even John Carpenter said Kills is the superior film of Blum Houses 3
Mob: We have you surrounded.
Myers: I have you all in one place
To me this is where the modern trilogy ends in the same nature of the original film; Michael returned to his home town, killed many, ruined lives, traumatized many, and disappeared into the night.
The unstoppable nature of Michael is amazingly showcased in this film along with the mob thinking they’re going to destroy evil but they clearly forgot who they we’re dealing with. I’ve enjoyed this film since the day it came out and I’ll probably always enjoy it even with its issues.
Michael might as well be the wolverine after suffering and surviving a beating like that.
I wish an angry mob will also attack ghostface in a future scream movie someday
imagine a cult of Ghost Faces going to war against a rebellion mob

This scene perfectly depicts Michael meyers as a legendary killer.
Everybody a gangster until Michael put his mask on😬🤷🏿♂️🤦🏿😭😂😂🤣
The moment they let Micheal put his mask back on, it was over. They weren't fighting a man, they were fighting evil incarnate.
Micheal fryers
You can't defeat it with brute force. Cut to next movie: They defeat Michael Myers with brute force.
Knew Michael was a trained assassin of death when all of a sudden he knew how to drive

I cant help it think Micheal knew it was a trap but took the risk anyway his fixation with that mask is insane
Myers shrugging off bullets like nothing is hilarious Everytime 😂 at least Ghostface shows he has a Bulletproof vest 🤣
2:00 This is where the mob made a mistake. I would of gone full Negan right there. Wouldn't of stopped until his head was pulp.
Same they were actual idiots, right there is a man possessed by a evil spirit and ur just gonna let him lay there?
Michael should have never walked away from this.
Imagine explaining how micheal gets stronger and transcends into someone you can’t kill and saying brute force can’t kill him making him more terrifying… and then coming out with halloween ends 💀
Hacker vs the whole lobby
Maybe she isn’t referring to physically unkillable and more his legacy being unkillable? Hence why they did what they did to his body, after all, just the body being dead isn’t dead enough to kill his legacy, everything has to be destroyed
Said no one ever
Mob : We’ve got you surrounded Michael..
Michael : “No that’s where you’re wrong,I’ve got you surrounded by me.. Happy Halloween 🔪🩸🎭
Wow! Michael's now an old man but still indestructible.
He's essentially a demon at this point.
You and I both know I'm looking at the real you right now. My mask allowed me to be myself completely. No shame, no limits.

Even tho they got the jump on him, I knew for a fact they didn't stand a chance against him.
They should have destroyed/stripped the mask. It give him more power
I think Michael killed Karen so brutally was cause she was wearing a Christmas shirt in October he took it very personal 😂
Michael: 'Do you know who I am?'
The Mountain: 'Some dead man!'
Myers isn't unkillable in this movie though, the issue was that they were trying to kill him with normal ways and they thought they could kill him that way, but what they didn't realize was Michael can't be killed through Normal ways.
lol don't forget the "iron" maiden
It was almost laughable how not one weapon was used on Michael's head. Karen stabs his back with both the pitchfork and the knife, Tommy and the others beat him with bats and boards and whatever else but never in the head and most stupid of all, they unload bullets into him at point blank range yet NEVER in the face!!
Sheriff brackett: hello Michael, it's Halloween. everyone's entitled to one good scare.
Michael: (puts on mask) aight bet!

All the weapons they brought, and no one thought “hey let’s bring axes, swords, or machetes to chop off his hands, arms, legs, and head!!! Then we can burn his body!!”

When the mob is that stupid, this franchise stops being scary. It’s all just tongue in cheek.
That's a true Karen for ya,,,she betrayed Michael and stabbed him in the back. Literally. 😂😂😂
Wtf you on about? 🤔
HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
He is a old man now. How can he have so much power and strength left in his body.
Old man's strength...it exists, bit of a phenomenon, look it up.
Ever heard of dad strength?
He really said " Nah am unkillable"

I love how Micheal just lets them think they've won and reminds them who he is
Mob: Winning
Also Mob: Stops fighting suddenly
Karen: Doesn't stab Michael in a lethal area like the head
Also Karen: Leaves the knife in Michael's body
This is why these horror movie characters always get killed
Bro got shot 3 times and beaten many times and still got back up and thought how bs this was. These movies are never ending and they need to stop making these and this one was the one they should have ended on and the mob should have killed him in the streets.
not to mention when they started fighting him they were doing it like a pack of dogs. Then all of sudden he gets up and no one does anything about it
So Michael Myers has aged into an Old Man

Mine started at 21 secs. Love this movie
He ended up paying with his life for a f-ing food.
he could of saved one to put in the head when he's down.
Micheal Myers’s is not immortal he just refuses to die 💀💀
Best Michael Myers of all time
They wasted his potential in Halloween ends
They were trying to point out that all the injuries he sustained finally caught up with him. Look at what happened to Thanos after he snapped. He became horribly disfigured
bro really said "I didn't hear no bell"
“I thought this was America”
Imagine what they might have accomplished if they had attacked him at once, instead of marching in single file.
How tf a bunch of people can defeat Michael but not trained fire fighters
They had their heavy tanks on and the masks.
Both mob and Michael are badass imo
