@@ahliz6713 Yes. I have a 55-inch screen, which was, at the time, the smallest screen compatible with the T2. So it was a little difficult getting so much light strip to big the edges of the screen, but I got it working.
For anyone considering buying: You can tune this thing to be WAY more color accurate than what is demonstrated. As he said he runs saturation at 100% because he likes the vibrant colors, but look at his room. The whole room is RGB rainbow. If you run saturation around 15% ish, your lights will display the colors on screen instead of just displaying full red if it’s a warm color or full blue if it’s dark, and you won’t get the system confused and outputting rainbow on bright daytime scenes and you’ll get the color to match what’s on screen. So keep in mind, he likes seeing over saturated colors that are extreme over color accuracy, this is his personal preference. But I can say for most that lowering the saturation and keeping white balance skewed a little towards blue (which he did well) will give you much better results for most people’s preference: display the color on screen behind the screen. My T2 is on the way but I have the T1 right now and this is what I have discovered/researched

Can’t guarantee but from what I understand of the technology I’d say you should be just fine. Keep in mind this model is recommended for 55-65 inch screens I believe

What you fail to mention is that not only do you get kickbacks from AMAZON and Govee .. but this is not much better than the T1 first one .. and doesn't warrant the 60+ extra bucks you will pay for it.. I personally had both and can barely tell the difference in performance between the 2.. So I sent mine back for refund and just saved the money and got another T1 series (single Camera) version...

Where did you find these videos to play for the demo? I feel like my colors are a little off and this would be a great way to see. I think i might need to start over with my calibration. Alright so I just returned the loycco sync box wanted to try it saw a video on it I didn't realize I had to have an hdmi input going like a DVD player or ps5 it can't use the TV apps? I mean idk much about sync boxes but doesn't every tv have apps? I don't want to turn on my ps4...(Can't find a ps5 anywhere hopeful for black Friday) just to watch Netflix...so you're saying this box uses the camera and it gives the immersive feel without an hdmi?
I have the Govee T1, very happy with that. The room needs to be a little bit dark. Also you need to set it right. Then the experince is pretty good. I used on a 65 inch OLED, for 120hz Gaming on PS5 and PC.
yes i have the 55-65" T2 version and it barely fits on a 55". if you put it on the 48" you would have to be creative and loop the corners or something which would throw your colors off on the 4 corners.
Can you sync the lights with other Govee lights? For example, the light strip turns yellow during a scene, can a different Govee light in the back of the room turn yellow?
I'm not sure if you can. Since it's not really connected to the TV in any way and only uses the camera to to gather information from the screen itself. Just got mine today and haven't hooked it up but I imagine you have to shut it off manually
If you have both your TV and the lights connected to a smart assistant, like Google, you can create a routine that turns the lights on/off with the tv.
I have the T1 65” bro, just bought the T2 and its on the way. Check out mrteksuggest on his review if you want some more detailed info, but from what I’ve gathered it’s supposed to be about a 40% improvement in accuracy over the T1, enough for me to upgrade. Could let you know if you @ me in like 2 weeks or so, not sure when my T2 will be in but would be happy to follow up if I can remember

Only issue I have is bottom right of my tv I can’t get the backlight to glow dim white for black and instead it glows a subtle blue, rest of the display does dim white. My theory is that it’s because my tv has lightbleed in that corner because I bought it refurbished so it may just be an issue with my broken tv. Other than that, love it and I can see past that flaw pretty easily.

But I am going to bite the bullet, and just buy one of the baller new versions that is like $150-$200. Because I like the no camera tech more, But will still have to do a couple of loops around the corners for my 50 inch display... Was also necessary... The small camera and the short arm resulted in a very inappropriate angle and as a result the system did not recognize the colors correctly at all. But even the t2 has a problem... NO WHITE LEDs... Means things that are to be displayed in white have an extreme bluish cast. The system with the camera is again only a half thing... I am currently using lytmi 2.0 4k 60hz I think it's better because the colors are on point... Unfortunately, the system also has massive errors such as it can't display hdr or starts to flicker in vrr. I don't understand why a manufacturer isn't able to build a box with 4k vrr and at least 60 hz... Even Philips can't do it. Govee is definitely NOT the best system
@@feldartillerie1620 i had lytmi neo before, 1.4b crap, i looked at the 2.0 option, but still loose all features of hdmi 2.1 and VRR. not buying a syncbox until there are 2.1 versions. Best option would be to hack the LG TV, put hyperion on it and use custom strips.

Unfortunately, the colors are often oversaturated on the basis of videos, so it is difficult to say whether color deviations come from the govee or from the recording

One thing I really don't like about these is that the colour stays even after it's no longer there on screen, rather than fading to black. It also seems to just display whatever colours it wants when there's black or greys on the screen, which makes it even less immersive than if there were no lights at all. I bought something from Lightpack almost a decade ago that worked much better than this.
Dude I had the T1 and sent it back, it bugged me how the ceiling light effected the color projected so dramatically. Like with the tv off, if I turned on my ceiling light, the Govee back lights would be super orange/yellow. When I turned it off, then they would go blue... and the tv was just sitting off with a black screen.
I have the Dreamview Pro T1 and its great love it so I decide to buy the 3m rope light, unfortunately cant say the say for that. Ive placed the bar in a line design high up above my tv and the colour sync when in Dreamview Mode/Part setting is dire, just solid blocks of colour showing, no gradient no nothing, see videoua-cam.com/video/JapiG98uA0o/v-deo.html . In full mode its ok and corresponds with the tv lights and light bars but the accuracy diminishes a LOT, so maybe im not doing something right or its just not capable of syncing well with the T1 very well. As just a light decoration its fine but again, when in music mode my flickers in whatever scene its in even when there is no sound, you also have to have whatever music you are playing LOUD for them them to react in any rythm with music, even though the mic is set right next to the tv. Also if you select your phone mic as source you automatically lose what scene you were in and just get pulsating random block colours???? Anybody else have any experience of this any heads up would be much appreciated. They also piss me off how they keep changing their prices all the time.
just got the T2 yesterday and set it up. awesome lighting. I also turned the saturation down to 1% and the brightness up to 100%, and it looks great.

I see all these reviews of the T2 and Iam so happy with my old T1 version.
I wasnt pleased with the T1 personally. The T2 double camera alone is so much better for consistent correct colors.

Yes, as long as they can connect to the govee app and are rgbic then they will flow exactly the same.
