- A reminder that the iPod is 15 years old and some of the most amazing commercials and the campaign that made listening to digital music amazing. The Evolution of Apple from good to amazing!
It’s 2024 and am watching these 20 year old commercials.
It's 20 years old 20 YEARS OLD
Back when marketing wasn’t ghetto
I can't be the only one who finds these really aesthetically pleasing for some reason
Dont worry, you're not alone.
It's the y2kwave
I like it too
@@graffiti9145 I mean, I was born in 2002, and didn't know y2k was a thing until the Internet Historian video, yet I still love these commercials' style
You're not. It was a brilliantly well executed and designed ad campaign.
Who’s here after the recent AirPods commercial? Brings back good memories seeing these ads. Definitely one of the most creative commercials of all time.
It's nice that they went back to this style after so many years. Tech commercials are all the same now, good to see that at least one company is trying to stand out
Indeed
I’m here after the family guy cutaway 😭😭
Classic
The current versions pale in comparison to these genius originals.

Ah man, the nostalgia...
Especially with the feel good inc one that brings back so much memories
Ikr headphones with chords 😱
these were the gayest most annoying commercials in history. the fuck are you nostalgic for
They’re still doing the same commercial
@@gold_monolith6816 I'm was not born in "the good days" but looking back. I missed a lot of cool crap.
Makes me miss the 2000s... Such a fun era.
i wish they had ads like these again. theyre so cool
They do
Actually, they already did that with their new AirPod commercials
They do, as of 2 months ago
its not as good i heard@@insertcreativenamehere5473
@@futurepaver2039nahh not really. It’s not the same fr.. they’re all blueish filter… these guys in this video are pure dark silhouettes
notice how all the music in these ads STILL go hard
The only thing about these commercials is that your Apple headphones could not stay in your ear while doing all those stunts
Tragically, they could for me. I got a weird ass ear canal that can't hold those deep penetrating headphones, but these things would be fine.
But now all u can find are the deep ones :(

still upset i didnt get to see these ads while they aired.
Before iPod you could never move like that without the CD skipping
Ye- man yo- are r-ght
We had mp3 and mp4 before iPods come on dude
Moving your ipod with a hard drive like that was risky man
@@Theironminer-ky2pg depends on which ipod
@@Theironminer-ky2pgThe drive didn’t spin all the time. Just at the beginning of a song. It’ll play about 4-6 songs (or 25 minutes) before the Hard Drive needed to spin up again. When not spinning. Those little HDD could take a good force.
I remember my first iPod. From always carrying around a Walkman, just the concept of it blew my child mind.
Back when all we wanted was to walk and listen to music without it skipping 😭😭
Just realized it's the 20th anneversary of the ipod. Time flies!
I miss this era of advertisement 😢
Easily one of the best ad campaigns of all time. Simple yet so extremely effective!
Frutiger metro aesthetic on point
I'm currently reading Steve Jobs' biography, so I'm watching all the old Apple commercials that are mentioned in the book. These ones are some of my favorite.
Anyone here after ii Act 1? That song was a banger, and this is such a cool reference!
The most ridiculous thing about these ads is the idea that you can dance that aggressively while wearing wired earbuds and somehow expect them to not be constantly ripped out of your ears.
Literally
This is so Frutiger Metro..I LOVE IT
I remember watching this in tv in the late 2000s.
I remember when my cousin had an iPod in 2005 and I wanted one so bad. Two years later my grandma got me my first iPod. I miss those days. Also my favorite iPod commercial is the Technologic commercial. 🔥
2:45 my personal favorite :)
Good taste ;)
you have great taste
Exquisite taste my person
My favourite as well!
Feel Good Inc is the best
RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN YOUR WAY!
Announced today: the end of the IPod. Much like the Walkman, it revolutionized the consumption and portability of music.
Peak marketing.
Still have my pink ipod shuffle and i feel so old everytime i see it! I'll never get rid of it!
if this ain't iconic, i don't know what is
Anyone else here because they brought the ad format back for AirPods?
The first one makes me extremely nostalgic. I heard this exact song a few weeks ago and I cried.
The last decade before social media completely took over. The last great decade.
I’m afraid I have to agree with you, I really miss when I was younger and my older brother would be energetic and would be dressed like a total dork. Now everything seems so fake…
now everything is about getting dates + being beautiful on insta and sumn like that
also flat miminalism style sucks, i need frutiger back
so this whole jamming out to music like how in the video, I still do this at 27 every day since age 14, its probably one of the most liberating feelings for me and I never got the idea from the commericals, it more came naturally haha
I bought my first Ipod during the spring of 2004 while I was a broke college student. I had to wait 3 months until I got my Powerbook G4 to use it. The first song that I downloaded and put on my ipod was "Leave Get Out" by JoJo.
What a time to be alive it was...
This is one of the best and most memorable ad campaigns ever put out.
Thank god harry for bringing me back here
Is anyone here from II 16? Or is it just me :(
Me
Should definitely bring this back but with AirPods + Apple Music!
They kind of did with the AirPods 3
They Did
@@renhaker They Did
Dude these guys were beasts

0:04 We found the origin of the "Party Hard" Slenderman GIF!
I remember this.
the music they used for this is so good
I love this!
Sucks to be these dancers. Such an iconic moment to be a part of, and we’ll never know their faces 😂🤦🏽♂️
I thought two wuv was gonna start playing

The only reason I searched this up was because of a weird nightmare I had. I searched this up not just for the nostalgia but to confirm that my sleep paralysis demon was indeed getting sturdy.
THOSE PEOPLE ARE WILD DANCING LIKE ITS AN CLUB PARTY
The vibes
this may come up as a stupid question, but what exactly do you aim to acheive?
too much
@@Mentallystable this new product, the "me technology", is that not ground breaking world shaking mythology?
this looks like something that could be on history books
What’s with Apple’s hard on for U2?
That's what they had the rights to?
Justin Steve was good friends with Bono
Apple explained did a video about that.
Apple 🍎 had a banana 🍌 for U2.
It’s because of U2 being the first artist to offer their entire library on iTunes for 99c a song.
I already know this is Funky seasons cuz I'm now an aesthetic fan now
I loved these commercials so much, I was so desperate to have an apple product back then.
Yo creia que estos comerciales eran mas recientes (Entre el 2007-2010) y resulta que son tan viejos como yo, 2004.
Omg so old so memories :p from generation 2009 i was kid
When everything runs your way
Apparently Harry Shum Jr. is in this
yeah that’s why i came here 😂
thats the reason why im here
Did he say which dancer he was? Lolol
funky seasons aesthetic
I like the U2 song Vertigo
3:05 did i just see this mother fucker do the demoman to feel good inc. in fucking ROLLERSKATES!?
You forgot the “Jerk it Out” by The Caesars commercial. I remember that one and the U2 one the most. Good times back then
They should make ads like this for airpods or itouch

STERIOGRAM
2:15 THE ONE
watching this in 2021
back then this was evolution because you could dance without skipping a disc. but now all I see is a wired inconvenience
I’m both happy and absolutely pissed that they used Feel Good Inc for their commercials.
What's the second song called? I really like it.
How come it cuts off like that?
Hi Harry Shum Jr
actually it was 17 years old when you made this
Hey at 0:05 that’s me! I remember being in it!!
Cool dance moves bro
Sick choreography
Song list?
Is this all of them? The last one cut off.
Whats the second song being played

Before rap took over and wires were everywhere. You win some lose some.
I think I saw an ad with a kylie minogue song, I swear I saw one 😅😅😅😅 someone knows if this is true??
yeah those headphones never stayed in that well…
the ironic thing about these adverts was that i never wanted to buy an ipod after seeing one, I just wanted to know what the songs were. all of them are classics, except the U2 one. fuck U2
Be like bono, go to third counties wearing sunglasses that would take that country out of debt
What's the first song called?!?!?
Its Walkie Talkie Man by Steriogram
Wongfu brought me here LOL
Let’s be honest, we all came for the Feel Good Inc commercial.
2:34 TYLER THE CREATOR SPOTTED
They should re-create this with the AirPod Pro
They sorta did
