I think any time you draft a QB that high who's only played 13 games of college football you have to do so knowing that you're basically drafting a project/developmental player so you have to have some patience. That being said, I think this next year will be crucial as far as him making progress so I'll wait until the end of next season before giving up on him or not at this point.
He’s only played 15 college games?!! Wow, I didn’t know that, damn. If you’re gonna draft someone that inexperienced than you GOTTA give him time to develop… but nope, they just threw him into the fire and commanded him to swim. Crazy

The frustrating thing about the division title is the fact that there's only 4 teams. We're not talking about going to the Super Bowl. It's being the best of 4, and they haven't done it in a decade.

Unless you're a good team over a long period you shouldn't be drafting project QBs especially in a time now where QBs are coming of college with very little development.
Indy needs a culture change from the top down. Do the right thing and the hard thing: Fire the GM and find a guy who wants to win and develop a team that competes and challenges year in and year out. As for Richardson, make him the starter in 2025. However, give him a very short leash as well as competition whether it comes from the draft or free agency. If he continues playing poorly, if his injuries continue to hinder his career and if he is not showing leadership qualities, then it will be time move on and unfortunately, continue the QB carousel.
Can we please get away from rushing to call young players "busts".... the word means nothing anymore cause people overuse it now. Like did nobody learn anything from Sam Darnold this year?
I think he was so raw coming in its impossible to say he's a bust yet. If the team is willing to move off him after 1 1/2 season, They shouldn't have ever drafted him.If he hasn't improved by. next year sure, But he was ALWAYS gunna be extremely raw as a passer and a multi year developmental project. Everyone knew that.
I'm done with this team. 2021 needed to beat the lowly jags but carson wentz and crew blew that. 2022 they stunk that year and last year 2023 they were one play away from advancing to the playoffs. That being said i'm afraid he's going to have to switch positions maybe a tight end? Logan thomas from virginia tech did that after he got drafted. It's extremely difficult to improve as a passer. It can be done look at jalen hurts his rookie season he was horrendous but improved but jalen was 1000 times better in college than ar-15 like you said. I don't think anthony richardson will ever improve in that department tbh. Great vid
@crimsonchin8916 yeah u are right josh allen was a pretty terrible passer at Wyoming and was pretty much drafted on intangibles and was seen as a project qb. Look I do believe ar15 has the tools to succeed but he's going to have show some massive improvements this upcoming season. The nfl is brutal to young qbs which is unfair but the league has high turnover rate. It doesn't help that he can't stay healthy enough to stay on the field as well.
Wow, you just said everything I’m always telling my nephew. Glad I found your podcast. We need more shows like this. Way better than the “Locked on Cucks” show on here I can’t stand those guys. We need honest analysis
Call me crazy, but I think there may be a little light here. Richardson reminds me of Vince Young. Doesn’t blow you away with his stats but puts you in a position to win with his feet on third down. The team plays better with him than Flacco. Put some pieces around him and you will make the playoffs. I do admit there will be better qbs in the draft, but I would t count him out yet.
Ok, you're crazy. #1 Vince Young is horrible example of what can be for AR. He was out of the league in 6 years with more interceptions than touchdowns, and a dreadful passer rating. #2 while Anthony Richardson is capable of doing major damage with his legs, that part of his game is not sustainable because he's made of glass. Dude is injured more than he's not. The sooner we move on from him, the sooner we can start this rebuild.
Ballard has failed. I hope there will be a new GM. Gus Bradley should go. Richardson situation doesn't look good. There may be a tank in 2025 and a QB picked in 2026. Not fun being a Colts fan right now.
They will not tank. That is a fan wish steichen has to try and prove his worth tanking will not be an option. Look at giants. They still played, knowing they'd lose #1 pick. Professionals don't tank.
He is 100% a bust with a wimpy attitude. He's always complaining about things and he's thrown more INTs than he has TD passes this season and in his two years in the league, that's ABYSMAL, maybe even worse than JaMarcus Russell. The only good thing I can say is that he can fling the rock and he's only 22 so he has time to develop but he has been a disaster so far.
ok your right about everything exepct flacco is better than richardson, not right about that I would see why you would say that but also during the giants game in stead of just throwing it away he just chuckes it up like he dosent care.
@@jaydenchrist6152 ah yes, a 22 year old QB in his first full season, doesn’t do that well. WOW, you really are slow. he definitely has room to improve but to say “he didn’t work out” is just low iq LOL. not to mention his team and front office completely failed him this season, but go off bud
How ironic, the last shoulda been great QB they had was Luck and how fitting that a team that was banking off the success of the Manning era has had anything BUT good luck.
A couple years ago Baker Mayfield was basically begging the Colts to sign him. Remember? The Colts said thanks, but no thanks... were going in a different direction. 2024 stats: Richardson = 126 of 264 (47.7%) 1814 yards, 8 TDs / 12 INTs, 61.6 passer rating. Mayfield = 386 of 538 (71.7%) 4279 yards, 39 TDs, 15 INTs, 107.6 passer rating. Ooops.
Sounds like a story even worse than Carson Wentz - couldn’t stay healthy & as Colts know made some pretty bone-head decisions. At least Wentz put up some MVP level play, but was hurt and allowed flukey Foles to win the SB. Jameis Winston, just when one thinks Winston has “turned the corner” Winston will give a couple multiple INT games in a row.
Totally right with your assessment of AR. Bad draft pick. Typical Ballard draft pick...athleticism with football potential. He needs to find FOOTBALL PLAYERS...not POTENTIAL players.
Richardson is probably 2 years away from looking good. Maybe not with the colt's. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. Minshew got us to the play-offs. 2 seconds later Goodson got us out of there.
I appreciate your comments. As a big Colts fan (and Indy resident), I agree with everything you said. Many in the community are (and have been) saying what you are saying. There's some division among fans regarding AR, but for me, it's pretty obvious that he is not NFL prime; past is prologue. Ballard & Bradley must go. Enough is enough. I'm also disappointed with Steichen. He's done some good, but some of his decisions are puzzling and, as you said, he is the HC, not the OC. Everything rises and falls on leadership. One example of this: look at the Colts.
Shane should go,Ballard should go and Gus Bradley definitely should be fired. Can you fire the owner because his drunk drug addicted self should go to rehab.😂
As a colts fan I understand where you are coming from, but just because the colts haven’t been to the playoffs for a couple years certainly doesn’t mean they can’t turn that around. You said the colts are the only team that hasn’t won that division in 10 years, they are also the only team in the AFC south that has even gone to a Super Bowl, besides one time in 2000 where the titans played and lost to the rams. And if you are so focused on comparing them to their division how about you try to fix one of the two team that have four or less wins. I’m sure they’d appreciate your help more than the colts.
May be? 😂😂😂 He is the 30 million dollar bust. And was the moment he stepped into Indianapolis. At least he didn't get Watson guaranteed money. Back to the drawing board. Clean the house. Elvis would fire all of them.
@ yea that’s the point it is the exception and not the rule. And yes his accuracy in college did actually hover around 50% josh was an awful passer in college. But that’s also why Richardson was highly touted. Because he was an athletic freak like Josh and we’d seen Josh become what was expected. So of course others thought they could do the same to Richardson.
I still trust Ballard. I just hated the Steichen hire. And when AR was drafted, I thought it was very stupid. Ballard should have atleast drafted a backup in 23/24. I would have kept Saturday over Shane anyday.
You can't say he's a bust yet, he's young and didnt have much experience. He could very well develop and improve. I think his work ethic needs improvement, that might be due to his age and staff not getting him in line.
You guys talk like he is a horrible QB. The dude has very little experience. The Colts defense is what is god awful. You can’t expect an offense to score on every possession. The colts defense is what’s giving up a lot… give AR another year or two and if it’s still the same then it will be time to throw the towel in on AR
I’m willing to give AR another year, provided that we get a new GM and culture change. He still needs development, but he won’t get it under this current regime.
I have a theory on what Irsay and the Colts are planning it is far fet he'd but we need a QB bad but I think they are trying to do a reboot I sense another Manning coming into the building Arch
Why you making sh*t up about Josh Allen 😂 first of all, the situations between Josh & AR being thrown into the fire is pretty similar, so idk why you’re trying to draw a distinction that isn’t there… Josh was inexperienced, AR is inexperienced, both played right away (well Josh didn’t start until halfway thru week 1), and both struggled at times during their first two szns… difference is Bills built around JA and gave him time to develop. But also, Josh didn’t have a problem with concussions, you literally just made that up 😂 he was knocked outta ONE game that I can remember after a dirty hit by a NE player, and I think it was in his 2nd year not rookie, but he DID tear his UCL as a rook and missed 4 games (in which span the team actually got worse, somehow). Cmon, this is easily researchable.
Flacco has pruven the colts can score. You have to fix the defense. Plus you have the curse of Baltimore on you. The only time you had success was when the NFL stepped in to change the rules for manning cause earsay was ready to move the team to Sacramento. Order plenty of paper bags so your fans can wear them.

MAY be a bust? IS a bust.... AR is a bust near the Ryan Leaf level....give him another year to see if he can reach that level of Bust
colts are cursed for booing luck
Ballard has failed. I hope there will be a new GM. Gus Bradley should go. Richardson situation doesn't look good. There may be a tank in 2025 and a QB picked in 2026. Not fun being a Colts fan right now.
They will not tank. That is a fan wish steichen has to try and prove his worth tanking will not be an option. Look at giants. They still played, knowing they'd lose #1 pick. Professionals don't tank.
This guy needs to make a video about the Patriots and Jerod Mayo!
Well Done.
The Colts are not drafting a quarterback this year, Justin Fields will be an upgrade for a few years.
Was he injured against Giants, and colts will draft a Qb this year.as a giants fan cant wait til its over
Great analysis - much Respect!
He's been a bust since he took himself out because he was "tired". And his game sux
Give him to Kevin O'Connell. I'm sure KOC will make him into a Hall of Famer 😅
Thought they were getting Andrew Luck; but he's closer to Robert Griffin / Chris Leak.
ok your right about everything exepct flacco is better than richardson, not right about that I would see why you would say that but also during the giants game in stead of just throwing it away he just chuckes it up like he dosent care.
I was rooting for Anthony Richardson. It's a shame he didn't work out.
He should’ve at atleast a year he was too underdeveloped Colts are not a well run franchise right now
he’s playing his first full season, tf you mean “he didn’t work out” yall slow asf fr
@nefc509 He has the lowest completion percentage in the league. Also for this season no he didn't work out.
Good video as always brother! Glad to see you finally getting the recognition you deserve 👌 all up from here
How ironic, the last shoulda been great QB they had was Luck and how fitting that a team that was banking off the success of the Manning era has had anything BUT good luck.
Flacco’s going really well they just need a defense. Those two games where he looked bad was because of the coach’s cooky ideas not the players
A couple years ago Baker Mayfield was basically begging the Colts to sign him. Remember? The Colts said thanks, but no thanks... were going in a different direction.
2024 stats:
Richardson = 126 of 264 (47.7%) 1814 yards, 8 TDs / 12 INTs, 61.6 passer rating.
Mayfield = 386 of 538 (71.7%) 4279 yards, 39 TDs, 15 INTs, 107.6 passer rating. Ooops.
Why didn’t AR play against the giants?
He had back spasms
AR was going to be a 1st rounder regardless. They just should have sat him for 2-3 years.
Shane should go,Ballard should go and Gus Bradley definitely should be fired. Can you fire the owner because his drunk drug addicted self should go to rehab.😂
he isn't a may be a bust. He is a bust. He is an over hyped Logan Thomas
Sometimes you got it. Sometimes you don't. AR15 fits that concept. However their defense NEVER seems to have it.
Isnt this Trey Lance again, draft based on what they could become. not drafted on what they are .
Pretty much. Both really should have stayed in college longer.
Everyone with eyes saw he was a bust last year.
May be? 😂😂😂 He is the 30 million dollar bust. And was the moment he stepped into Indianapolis. At least he didn't get Watson guaranteed money. Back to the drawing board. Clean the house. Elvis would fire all of them.
He has a strong arm- NFL Scouts.
Calling Anthony Richardson a bust?
That spinning spike with the snappy salute afterwards was top notch.
so he's not a bust because he jumped in the air, spun and spiked the ball lol ok bro
@@ITJustMeKGyou just blow in from stupid town? He’s being sarcastic.
AR should've never played last season and possibly this season. Flacco should've been brought in to play and to be a mentor to him
Could be worse, try being a Bears fan
I've been predicting this since the draft. You cannot teach a quarterback to become monumentally more accurate. They ethier got it or they don't..
Tell that to Josh Allen at Wyoming
@crimsonchin8916 pretty sure Allens completion percentage didn't hover around 50% and even if it did that's the aberration not the rule...
Will Howard Ohio State second round n see if AR can be him out for the QB job
I still trust Ballard. I just hated the Steichen hire. And when AR was drafted, I thought it was very stupid. Ballard should have atleast drafted a backup in 23/24. I would have kept Saturday over Shane anyday.
You can't say he's a bust yet, he's young and didnt have much experience. He could very well develop and improve. I think his work ethic needs improvement, that might be due to his age and staff not getting him in line.
One of the biggest a reaches ever by the Colts set themselves back with this pick
Now that Dan Snyder is gone somone else has to fill the role of worst NFL team owner.
Ar Still Needs Work In Accuracy And Etc. But Can’t Stay Healthy But Because They Don’t Really Have Any Wrs Decent Oline But A Good Rb.
That would sell hella Colts tickets and merchandise. Drafting Arch and starting him, even if he sucked, would be a genius business move.
Draft Jaxson Dart the Dude is Legit
Flacco has pruven the colts can score. You have to fix the defense. Plus you have the curse of Baltimore on you. The only time you had success was when the NFL stepped in to change the rules for manning cause earsay was ready to move the team to Sacramento. Order plenty of paper bags so your fans can wear them.
3:50 very true but you can’t ignore the drops that’s severely affected that
We just need to suck it up the year arch comes into the draft. Then trade a bunch of picks for Marvin Harrison jr. boom, back to the good ol days.
I get the hype behind AR but you are either accurate enough or not
