I laughed my ass off remembering Marvin McNutt. Great story piece my friend... you pretty much nailed it. I think the worse part of the whole Panther saga is the part where we give away our blue chips for free.
The Cam Super Bowl year was the last year I watched full seasons of the Panthers, I just knew I had witnessed the greatest Panthers season ever, sure I'll tune in to playoffs, but I just couldn't be bothered to spend my weekends caring anymore. Now it's pretty funny to just see the videos going over how bad they are now.. it's crazy.

Then he dropped those two monster games his first two starts and shut my ass up quick lol Though I'm a Broncos fan, I've got a lot of respect for Cam. Wish he could have held up longer in the NFL, but ultimately, they just ran him into the ground. It's hard to have a long career as not only a scrambling QB, but a scrambling QB that would try to truck guys like a damn RB lol
tubfrog, i’ve been watching you since you put out the chargers video. you’re one of my favorite youtubers, and i feel like if you expanded to other sports like nba or mlb, you could become a really big channel. and obviously it would be on a different channel, since this one is strictly football. but i used to watch a series called collapse, where it would cover the collapse of teams after a dynasty, and i feel like if you made a series about that, it would be so great. i love watching youtube sports documentaries, and you’re my favorite channel that makes them! (no glaze btw)
The Steelers disguised that blitz pretty well though. They stunted to make it look like they were coming from the QB's right so Cam was looking at the wrong side for the rusher. He should have picked it up when the DB/lineman bailed on the snap, but I guess they knew he was predetermining that side.
My Problem with the Panthers is; while I know who the QB is I have no idea who the RB, wide outs, tight ends, and offensive linemen are. I have no idea who is on the D-line, or even the DB's. The team keeps trading or letting go so many players, many who are good, that its very hard to know the team. So while I live in Carolina I have a hard time rooting for the home team because I don't know them and when I do get to know them they are soon gone. Poor , Poor Me!!!!
As a Washington fan it is so funny that Snyder finally got booted from the league but then got reincarnated a couple hundred miles south. The exact same mistakes over and over again from both. I can't wait for Tapper to start meddling again and fire the staff that he brought in. That one took Snyder a decade + into his tenure, but Tapper might speed run it in 5 years.
Do the Falcons. We did the exact same 💩 from 2013-2017 with ‘18 being the year we were left in purgatory. But we’ve finally punched a hole to another realm, which we thought was finally an escape. We left that one and like the movie Inception, we remained in purgatory- Pass Rusher purgatory. May need a 5th dimensional player/rookie to help at this point.
This may seem immature, but since Tepper has been the owner, especially after this past season, I am much less a Panther fan. In fact, I watched the Bills-Cardinals game instead of the Panthers and it was a heck of a game. Tepper is the hero of any team playing the Panthers.
They really started sabotaging the development of Bryce last season. He was playing better when Thielen was his primary target as Thielen is the only good target he has. Once they officially fell out of contention, they purposefully made Thielen a much smaller part of their game plan because they wanted to get more targets to the younger guys. After that, the small amount of progress showed by Bryce went out the window. At the end of the day, developing the QB you have so much invested in has to be priority #1. Taking away his security blanket was flat out stupid.
actually this team is in a great position this year (especially if bryce is the guy). they still have talent all over the defense (even without burns) they just got a guy who i think has the talent to be the next aj brown in xavier legette. they went and got a good 1 in dionte for bryce. they drafted a back w first round talent in the 2nd round. they also stole a te in the draft, and oh year went and bought the two best guards in FA to solidify their interior oline. again if bryce pans out this is a sneaky good team this year. they've had one of the best offseasons and no one is talking about it. i think there is a legit chance they find themselves in playoff position in decemeber, especially w an easy schedule and arguably the worst division in all of the nfl.
Well, easy-ish. I am cautiously optimistic like you. We do gots to play the likes of the Eagles, Cowboys (before they choke in the playoffs), Chiefs, and Bengals this year. It also depends on what Tepper does. Any given Sunday.

As a Broncos fan, I was quite pleased with the Panthers' superbowl 50 defeat 😘 Also, the Broncos won BECAUSE of their all-star defense, which is recognized as one of the greatest defenses of all time. Denver held Tom Brady to 18 points in the conference championship, and they were the top D that season. The Panthers offense did show up, they just couldnt handle Von Miller and the No fly zone.

@@chicagodude8888 and I think a team that's existed solely on mediocrity is an interesting topic. Like when you think the Bears, you think aggressively mid. That's a special sort of hell, imo. Beason, kuechly, norman, thomas davis and they had some more studs too.
Forgot how stacked that d was to perform so poorly
Luck staying in college to avoid the panthers really worked out well

Good videos, I hoping to see a Bengals Marvin Lewis era video in the future
This.
Watching while doing a M24 panther rebuild
lol, I got to try and do that sometime
That christian mccaffrey trade still annoys the hell out of me
As a Seahawks fan, I'm equally annoyed.
Seeing Christian McCaffrey get the cover of Madden today, definitely made me look back at that trade and wonder why the hell we gave up the best offensive weapon in football for so little.

😂😂 you wrong for that😂😂
This video was so well done. The panthers should’ve won a superbowl with that core group of players from 2015.
I don’t think there’s any other franchise in the NFL that’s had a more depressing story than the Panthers (I’m a lifelong homegrown Panthers fan)
These past 3 years have been hell for me as a Panthers fan
David tepper is something else. Lmaooo
That's a G rated way to explain him

I was caught off guard every time I heard Buc F****r😂
I grew up a Panthers fan and am a huge sports fan but I deadass have barely been able to care about the NFL since 2018
That MJ/Panther whisker fusion logo at 55:38 was brilliant.
That superbowl will forever haunt me. Watching NFL is pain.
17:15 I can’t breathe😂😂😂😂
cam newton the labtop security expert gave me a hardy chuckle
I go a couple years in between seeing the last strip sack play. Just enough time for me to forget how unbelievable it is cam didn’t dive for that ball.
Tepper's first two years after buying the team he fired the most successful coach in franchise history and cut the most popular player in franchise history. Lost the fans right then and there.
I must say that the 100% best thing about watching these videos....... the ability to skip sponsors' ads!!!!
Finally a long great video that explains how we fell so far as a franchise
This is my first new video since ive found your channel. Im beyond pumped
I still remember being at Baylor, hearing Rhule say "I don't care how much money they throw at me, I have unfinished business here" just to leave weeks later. I was so happy when they failed with him
42:42, bruh I spít out my drink, you funny😂😂
Great video keep up the work! Great writing editing and you got the joys and pains just right... but as a panthers fan... this one hurts.
Bro you’re funny asf definitely subscribing & binge watching the other vids😂
Be Panthers fan from Russia is the hardest choice that I ever made. I love Carolina, anyway, i don't see any possibilities to have a winning season in next couple of years. GL so 😢
I laughed my ass off remembering Marvin McNutt. Great story piece my friend... you pretty much nailed it. I think the worse part of the whole Panther saga is the part where we give away our blue chips for free.
“Avg Chicago Nears trade”. I was sad to see Olsen go. Bears sure have sensed to be hitting on all cylinders with recent trades with the panthers..
Do the Chicago Bears next
Not their 1st but their 2nd rounder And after that, the trade is complete
da bears
The Cam Super Bowl year was the last year I watched full seasons of the Panthers, I just knew I had witnessed the greatest Panthers season ever, sure I'll tune in to playoffs, but I just couldn't be bothered to spend my weekends caring anymore. Now it's pretty funny to just see the videos going over how bad they are now.. it's crazy.
Hope the owner stubs his toe on his skybox seat in his stadium. He is a real piece of work. I live in Charlotte and pull for Atlanta just like when I was a kid.. I was once a fan but Teeper is a shadow of what Richardson was.
43:48 Raw dawgin!
I absolutely love your videos! you should do a video on the Jaguars franchise history.
I remember Cam first few games in the NFL. I didn't think he'd do anything special and I was a Cam hater. Then he dropped those two monster games his first two starts and shut my ass up quick lol
Though I'm a Broncos fan, I've got a lot of respect for Cam. Wish he could have held up longer in the NFL, but ultimately, they just ran him into the ground. It's hard to have a long career as not only a scrambling QB, but a scrambling QB that would try to truck guys like a damn RB lol
Love these longer videos
Gotta love #TeamTubbyBubby
tubfrog, i’ve been watching you since you put out the chargers video. you’re one of my favorite youtubers, and i feel like if you expanded to other sports like nba or mlb, you could become a really big channel. and obviously it would be on a different channel, since this one is strictly football. but i used to watch a series called collapse, where it would cover the collapse of teams after a dynasty, and i feel like if you made a series about that, it would be so great. i love watching youtube sports documentaries, and you’re my favorite channel that makes them! (no glaze btw)
BABE, WAKE UP TUBBY MADE ANOTHER DOCUMENTARY
The Steelers disguised that blitz pretty well though. They stunted to make it look like they were coming from the QB's right so Cam was looking at the wrong side for the rusher. He should have picked it up when the DB/lineman bailed on the snap, but I guess they knew he was predetermining that side.
1:08 rip angry grandpa
rip og
They didn't trade their 2025 1st for the 2023 top pick trade. It was 2024. Carolina still has their 2025 1st round pick
Tub your funny asf. Thank you for the entertainment between sunday bro🤘
As Broncos fan, this is like watching a horror movie and knowing the killer is coming and being really excited for it.
How bout dem Broncs??
@@MilehighCLE216 still superbowl 50 champs.
@@NJP-EonPardonCogitoCo im actually a dallas fan lol. i think yall will beat us tbh. this team is going to blow up before the end of the szn. dak doesn't do well under pressure, and the locker room is already showing signs. i don't think we have to worry about choking in the playoffs this year, bc we will go 9-8 at best.
@@bradleyalthaus Well, hard to say at this point. Y’all still got Ceedee and other playmakers on offense, and on the other side y’all have Parsons, Bland, and co. Y’all could very well beat us again. With that being said, I do agree that y’all probably worsened by a bit and this year will not be ‘y’all’s year.’
The Cowboys remind me of Ferrari F1 ever since 07 or 08. There’s high-end talent but it’s held back by management problems, and terrible choking in crucial situations. There’s also the rich history and passionate Tifosi, but it hasn’t been their year since the late aughts.
@@NJP-EonPardonCogitoCo outside of lamb, osa, and that oline id be happy to get rid of most of this team. parsons is a huuuugge distraction. bland is severely overrated bc of a few pic sixs (even though he got burned a lot last year) and we all know what dak is (i hope hes gone after this year). i will note bland was actually great his rookie year, and an extremely sticky db. i don't like guys who go for pics and get torched in the process. i much prefer the trent mcduffies who will lock anyone up, even if they don't get a single pic in a szn (i hope bland can get back to that). outside of lamb and the oline we're pretty bad on that side of the football. and the defense is overhyped just like last year. and obviously there's more drama than usual, since dak might be a ufa next year.
@@NJP-EonPardonCogitoCo i truthfully think this year is about eating the cap and making room for the future. i think its a year where we are trying to get out from under dak, and build a team for a rookie to come in and flourish in, while on the rookie scale.
As a lifelong panthers fan(literally born in 95'), I knew what was coming in this video and still put myself through it. If theres any lick of us making it to the playoffs, itll be after tepper finally gives in and sells us off.. but fat chance of that happening considering how he's rooted himself in charlotte.. the guy is a billionaire sociopath. I have little to no hope except for what we saw in 2011-2015.. that was a lot of adversity to overcome and make it through an NFC title.. maybe just maybe theres a .01% sliver of hope yet but ill withhold that till after the next 3 seasons lol
Dave Gettleman said fuck it who needs WR 😂😂 And the Derek Anderson nickname is nuts 🤣🤣💀
I still think we should have given Cam more time.but Bryce is growing on me.
40:16 shoutout nvidia 🙏🙏🙏
It’s all good, All we need is new ownership, an entire new scouting department , a new general manager, maybe 20 good players, a new stadium. Like I said it’s all good.
I love your videos, Keep it up bro!
After watching this video it makes me feel less bad for my team (the jaguars). Panthers really have it rough man
Plot twist things got worse
Your take on Tepper so bad, it makes me question literally everything else you said (most of which I agreed with 100%). Tepper for Siberia 2024
Watching this today and checking the ESPN App simultaneously, Top Headline is: Panthers bench Young, to start Dalton vs. Raiders! Hahahahaha
Watching this after the Panthers benched young and are blowing up yet another draft class is soooooooo funny
Man I miss Luke Kuechly. What a player. If there's any justice he'll be in Canton in a year or two.
EVERY...SINGLE...PERSON running the Panthers orginization are the MAIN (no...ENTIRE) PROBLEM with this franchise. If I was a player...I would simply pull an Elway and NOT play for this garbage heap of a team.
They seem to have the "trifecta:"
a quarterback, a owner & a stadium that no one seems to like!!
Yeah, I am a Houston Texans fan now. The owner has found a way to ruin the franchise.
The thing that Cam and Pat had in common in those super bowl losses was mike remmers, isn't that a weird coincidence
I feel like I'm going insane, Tub.... Could've sworn you've gone over the Jay Cutler Saga before, but I guess I was wrong. Either way, since you like going through team's mediocrity. You REALLY should go through the Bears 2000's to modern front office mid woes. We are an absolute treasure trove of mediocrity and wasting talent as an organization I am a fan of. I think your dry delivery would help bring entertainment for just how mid our front office is.
We’ve never bottomed out quite enough to make an interesting topic out of it. Bears have just existed.
@@chicagodude8888 and I think a team that's existed solely on mediocrity is an interesting topic. Like when you think the Bears, you think aggressively mid. That's a special sort of hell, imo. Like, we as fans have clearly seen some VERY talented players come through just to never really come together. Our front office shit show is worth a deep dive, imo.
@@iskander0725 I’m all for it. I’d like to watch a video on either Grossmans turbulent 2006 season too.
@chicagodude8888 2006 bears defense was the best single season defense I've ever seen. And I'm a dallas fan
That Giants vs Panthers game with OBJ? If he wasn't the star child of the NFL at the time he would've been suspended from the league for the rest of the season. He torpedoed his helmet into Norman's clearly intending to hit Norman's head, it was disgusting.
I love the Panthers, and I'll always cherish memories of the two Superbowl appearances and being the team to slam the door on the 90's Cowboys. That said I'm done following this team until I see a consistent commitment to get better or the team is sold to better ownership. If he tries to extort the city for a new stadium I hope we tell him to go pound sand.
FBAs Cam. Newton and Steve McNair are the toughest two QBs to ever play the game
Crazy Cam had back to back 400 yard games as a rookie then never again. 😮
Aint gonna lie cam trolled that superbowl. That was bad
As a panther fan, I must say that my opinion of Cam has changed over the years. Cam is so toxic now. He has become an enemy to the team's success, yet fans still love him. It's very frustrating to hear all the praise still thrown on him, because the answer to a better future does not include bringing back Cam.
I'm 62 , and I have lived in NC all my life, SF 49ers van since the 70s, never cared for Panthers anyway, when they arrived in 95 it was great for Charlotte, but I was still a 49ers fan, don't care if they suck
What a great video on the rise of the panthers, watched all 28 minutes on content. I don’t know why the video says it’s 56 minutes tho… no way this franchise fell to pieces
As a Panthers fan since the early 2000s, this isn't our first time missing out on a superstar's window. We somehow made the 2001 super bowl with Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith Sr... amd somehow decided Delhomme was the one to stick with. Oops.
Dave Tepper is the gift that keeps on giving, if you are a Bears fan.
Turns out if you decide exactly 1 QB is exempt from drawing penalties he ends up getting destroyed. There were so many hits on Cam that if you did to any other QB in the game would have been 15 free yards and the refs just didn't give a fuck. Also I die a little every time I hear the names Marty Hurney and Matt Rhule.
