Brooo I used to play slugfest 03 all the time with my cousins growing up! On the loading screen those 3 icons on the bottom you can put in a code to give you guys like horse heads, Alien heads, super speed, super strength, make your guys huge or small. Man fun times PS2 was legendary!!
Loved this game when I was a kid. Had my little piece of notebook paper with all the cheat codes written on it in the game box. Could play in places like Atlantis with an Ice Bat and your players were Dolphins. Awesome time

Midways Sports games are very underrated Blitz/Slugfest/Redcard (i have no idea if they made a basketball game) But the Football/baseball and soccer games were all brilliant fun.
Kevin.......BUDDY......you cannot play this game without knowing the rules!!! This is probably the greatest baseball game of all time!! Im about to explain some key points for you because you need to revisit it!! You can kind of control your pitches. You have to point the stick to what direction you want to throw them. And there is a cheat in this game spamming all the buttons together repeatedly...(literally pressing all the buttons together continuously) which will make you throw some crazy assss pitch. The home runs in this game are epic!!! Its not like the show with the pci...you can hit anything out you just have to have good timing. The ball literally rockets out of the park with the sound of a bomb going off when a player thats smoking hits it out...(then they will turn on fire). The fire and fighting are the best parts of it. You can turn to fire many ways. Getting hit by a pitch and winning the fight against the pitcher. In clutch moments when you need a player on fire they will.smoke and if you get a hit they will get on fire or if you are doing really good with the player like hit a home run or go 2 for 2 the player will smoke and if you get a hit they will be on fire.....the fire does alot of things to the players thats on fire in the game....(they run way faster.....when they hit a player with the ball it automatically falls out and you could steal home....when you slide home you can hit the catcher and of he drops the ball you are safe). The pitchers can even turn on fire when they strike people out which helps them throw faster and lowers the chance for you to get a home run. You can also do glitches in the game where lets say if you pick the blue jays...when at the loading screen you can spam buttons and change the players into lions and aliens and shit...(the players heads literally become lion and alien heads). I wrote all this because i feel like you didnt enjoy the game how you should have. You need to play it more and get used to it and trust me you would probably think its the best baseball game of all time!
The fielding is a whole nother topic. You see how high you can jump and stuff....you can rob home runs and make crazy asssss diving plays. And when the fielders are on fire it makes then 10 times faster and better fielders. They also throw crazy fast too which in the outfield makes them throw seeds that can even get people out at first base!!!

No, this is the NBA JAM of Baseball. You need to make a base hit three straight times to be on fire! Just like three straight scores in NBA JAM and NHL Hitz. To knock someone out by sliding use turbo and circle or B depending on what version you're playing. To hit it hard use turbo and the power or contact button. The next game loaded is the first Baseball game to be T rated. In Slugfest 06 I think you can aim your swing and pitches. Keep practicing.

Dear lord.. Hold turbo while pitching, batting and throwing, circle to throw punches, aim pitches by using directional pad as you pitch the ball (I think its been awhile you might be able to use the analog stick), L1 to advance bases, R1 to go back bases. There's your tutorial. Good luck!
This is definitely the first baseball game I played because after fighting and punching people on this I was confused on why all games aren’t like this I would love a new one
Kevin you should really try the backyard baseball games. When i was little my parents bought an old box of computer games that had Backyard Baseball 2001 in it and the rest of my freetime after school was history.
