It was a Mountain Goat, similar to you, but not out of breath and I bet it does not fall down. Awesome video. I liked the map feature that showed your progress and your elevation/time statistics. And, great hat you were wearing.
What is the pizza peele looking thing at 2:15? A seat? All this winter hiking gear is racking my brain, especially since I live very close to this mountain, and at December 21, all I have to deal with is wet. Hash tag need more winter hikes, and what is this thing
thanks - this is great - One question - how bad was th drive to the trail head. I can see its a bit rough. Doesn't look too bad. You dont need high clearance or all wheel correct?
To answer your question if it still needs answering: I did Adams 3 weeks ago and the last like 5 miles to the trailhead is unpaved. First few of those miles isn't too bad, just loose gravel and dirt, but after that you're going to find big pot holes, washboard, and large ridges you have to drive over. I have a Subaru Crosstrek with over 8" of ground clearance and I was scraping over a few of those ridges. If you're not driving a high clearance vehicle, it's possible to make it up, but it's going to be stressful and take you a while to navigate the road to avoid all those obstacles. But it's possible. I saw Honda Accords, a Prius. I don't know how much damage they incurred making it up there, though. If you care about your vehicle, I wouldn't risk it, but that's me.
There used to be a lookout structure and also there was a sulfur mine at the top. Mules carried the sulfur down the mountain but the mine eventually was unprofitable.

Should have gone to the side with the ship entrance.
Such a cool video! Ya got me stoked for my summit attempt this August!
ty. something I've always wanted to do but will never get the opportunity so watching your video was great..
Great job on that. I did Fuji last year. Planning on doing Adams this august to prepare for Rainer in sept
That valley view and Mount Rainier is staggeringly awesome!
I just signed up to do this in June 19'! Should be fun thanks for the great video! #goodwork #mountaineering

Great Video! Helped me to decide to do it this year.
Awesome video. I will be attempting my first summit this May
Good luck, it's fun. Should still be lot's of snow.
hey, thanks for posting, one day i will be fit enough to do this.
Looks like crampons are a must have for Adams huh? I'm shooting to climb her this summer.
I used micro spikes, not crampons. Although using crampons would be nicer.
Great video! New Englandah at 15:30, Sawx fan, makin' the climb.
Yes, I agree with the others, if you are going to hike up to the summit, you should have gone over to the "garage door" and walked inside.
What? Where is That?
Work on those sled paths, it could be a class bobsled trail.
Thanks for the video....!
just wondering what you used to glissade down the mountain. Last time I went I hurt my coccyx, it was sore for a month.

Its every time he falls, might be censoring swears too
I keeps hearing that horn to lol. But don't think he's falling but, I do think maybe because of cursing... Lol
Why don’t you go to the alleged ufo garage door opening?
Damn good time...took me 13 to do St Helens!

@@brandonb.5304 Thanks very much. Looks like I need rent a high clearance vehicle before doing that then. Kind of annoying but ah well.
why all the dead trees?
Landings and take off? Lol
Maybe because its winter?? Giggles
There were five large fires on Mount Adams between 2001 and 2013.
Did you go to where the ufos have been coming out of?
what time did u start
Was the ufo gateway real?
The hiker slide gateway was the real deal!
yo quiero ir
Where'd ya get that sled?
That's a 'glissade daiper sled'. Google it.
Did ?you see the UFO hangar opening
Whats that boatlike structure?
There used to be a lookout structure and also there was a sulfur mine at the top. Mules carried the sulfur down the mountain but the mine eventually was unprofitable.
Go again at wait till that gate opens again. Million dollar video. It's worth it😀😀😀
That's an active volcano. It will erupt in the near future like what happened to Mt. St. Helens.
It has not erupted in over 1000 years and volcanologists do not considered it an active volcano
Did you find the UFO cave?
O WOW, THIS PEOPLE ARE WALKING ON THE SNOW AND YET, THEY ARE WEARING A SHORTS. HOW COME?? DON'T THEY FEEL THE COLD????
This was in the middle of summer so at the lower elevations, it was actually quite warm. Even at the top it was above freezing temperatures.
SEE ANY DRIVEWAYS OR UFO HANGERS
arron holland nah he didn't it disappeared the day he hiked up there, but came back the day he went home. Strange right.
No gate of course ,it was just s avalanche
Good Video, but shouldve shown the garage
Wow...proud of ya ! Go humans !!❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Go to the f***ing opening
Nice.
nice vid
No
Can't you just take a helicopter up there ???
Crampons
What a waste of time to watch this! You didn’t even bother investigating the alleged hangar! What a muppet!!!
Weak!
you have to pay to climb a fucking mountain?
