Why can't all public officials be just as courteous? THAT should be the norm!
Fire fighters are a different breed. They are proud of their stations and their equipment and keep them spotless. They love showing it off.

As a retired Captain/EMT serving 27 yrs, its wonderful to witness other firefighters respecting citizens rights and being so open with the public. Its a shame all public servants dont act this way!

My sister was camera shy and did not like even being in family pictures.

Well, she doesn't have to BE excited about being recorded, but she DOES have to be polite, respectful and professional with members of the public whom SHE works for, that's all there is to it for all government worker bees. IF they don't like that, they can flip burgers at McDonald's or clean buildings at night or whatever to get paid.
@@moparman1962exactly we aren't asking you to give the camera a kiss and a hug or nothing, but you are interacting with a member of the public despite the camera be professional, sometimes people wear shirts with things I don't agree with or even don't like, but I'm not going to call the cops and say they hurt my feelings and try to have them arrested, if they ask I would tell them and we probably wouldn't agree with me but I ain't calling cops over a disagreement that's😂 ignorant! D

TTA, the Fire Chief and his staff deserve recognition from the Mayor for their professionalism. That's how all departments should respond to audits. The professionalism they displayed is what shows they appreciate being a part of the community and care about the residents of the community and are not just there for a paycheck. Much respect for the Chief and his years of service and dedication 👏🏼

I was thinking the same thing. Cops do face a different type of threat such as guns and domestic violence and I’m sure that makes a different mindset but when certain ones ride in on their Godhorse and try to bully citizens it makes me think that maybe they should send Firemen out on many of the calls that cops get? 🤷♂️🤔🤦♂️😂😂😂

I can tell you as a retired firefighter that we always welcomed the public to tour our facilities. That was a very important asset when you need public support. We got it....

Not always but definitely better. Remember there is always someone who thinks they have more authority than the common citizens. But in the long run they are better than cops, public employees, etc. They are true heros.

I was sitting for my bosses 8 year old boy and a fire broke out at the apartment complex next door. After controlling the fire 🔥 one of the fireman gave the kid a complete tour and description of their work. One fireman gave him a set of his nitrile gloves. The kid kept those gloves on for 3 days. An event he will remember the rest of his life. Yur right James these people are Heroes ❤

I love how the Fire Chief introduced him self as Doug. A true hero, seems all police want to be called Officer or Sargent, like their title makes them above the citizens they serve.
They were slightly thrown off by the camera but recovered beautifully and without ego! True heros.
