For that comment that give the impression like jealously type of Stament.
i have been a Hair Stylist for 30 Years and I always. chosen the springs Curling Irons. They are and been my Favorites.....and for any of "Those knows it all"
or Criticized all" Those Issues with Curling Iron NEVER HAS BEEN BIG ISUESS EVEN FOR THE BEST OF THE BEST HAIR STYLIST!! it is just the Matter of Professional and Personal Choices!!

great job! i always deal with super straight/hard to curl hair that won't last no matter the product used:( i curl it, pin it , w8 4 ever... after an hour - straight ! if it worked on me the same way, i almost would be accepted in my town , but the reality is: the hair get straight and i don't . any advice?

After you curl it, pin the curl down with clips so they can cool into a curl pattern then spray your head with hairspray that will hold the style, but not make it crunchy and hard. Let it sit for a while(as long as you prefer) then take them down once you're ready and they should stay a bit longer.

damaged hair always holds curl better haha so get some highlights to just roughen to cuticle up =P
also try curling a couple days after your wash, maybe use mouse with a little hold after you wash when you know you want to curl it, then before you curl put some texturizing spray/something that will add texture to your hair and heat protection.. make sure that dries!! and thenn do what you've been doing and pin it up after each curl like you said

If you can manage to find Caruso steam rollers-- that is the magic for hair that never holds curl. The steam creates a hydrogen bond instead of a heat bond.

Not You a wet wet will always last longer than heat created curls, try setting your hair the old fashion way

So, i looked at your instagram and several of your co workers. Will a stylist that works at Chris McMillian the Salon, get fired if their client leaves withOUT this hair style? The reason why i ask? Nearly every client has the same doo, just with different lengths.

Beautiful hair but seeing a "Professional Hairdresser" using a curling iron with "springs" is dreadful

Well for the "lay" peeps like myself and others who could really benefit from this tutorial, most likely don't have the professional tools or skills to use them so I very much appreciate the springs! You're so very talented as is your assistant 💛

Jamie Todd well the point of tutorials is so you can achieve it at home. why would they use one without Springs? I've been a stylist for years and I use this one also!
