    I love your videos and I love your work! The blondes you do are so next level, so intricate and complex, you're one of the only stylists I've seen that puts that much effort in 1 head of hair. You're such an inspiration for me and definitely my favorite colourist.

    Her roots still look brassy. I think you should have gone all the way up to the roots with the highlights/babylights and then have used a ashier/blue/violet whatever semi-permanent around a level 7 to create a shadow root. Her base will be even brassier after a few washes, so this does not seem to be a good job.

    OMG I love your work. why doesn't anyone here in Australia do hair like this? I find when a toner is put on my light ends it goes mousy looking and trying to have a hairdresser understand what l am trying to say is near impossible. Or they put the toner on the ends and then at the basin as they are washing the toner out, my ends grab the colour of the toner.

    I just wanted to say how beautiful your work is and how much I love your creations! I am an aspiring hair stylist. I actually am from Minnesota but I moved to South Carolina for college but I am moving back home at the end of this semester to go to cosmetology school! I am very nervous but super excited! I've had some people be very supportive and other people harshly judge me because i am "dropping out of college" but your videos give my inspirations and hopes so much more drive because I aspire to do beautiful work like you! Thank you for being an inspiration to me:)

    When you talked about "Malibu her ends " is that a product or is it just a bleach wash?

    • @kaylaangele5521
      @kaylaangele5521 8 років тому +4

      (was asking the same question too, I researched it and its a deep cleansing treatment just to remove buildup and anything you may get from hard water out of the hair so that Im guessing would help the purple shampoo penetrate into the hair shaft a little easier.

    • @kaylaangele5521

    What would you recommend for someone who's all platinum and now wants to go a bit darker/natural? My hair is a level 7, maybe 8, a dark brown/blonde. I don't know if I should just grow out my roots and get an ombre done or if a reverse balayage could be done. I've heard that dying brown over blonde could have a green tinge or fade all out quickly. I'm at a loss of what to do, I love my blonde but I've had it for so long that the maintenance is starting to get tiring. Anyway, I love your work!

    • @morganderose3491
      @morganderose3491 8 років тому +2

      If I were you, I wouldn't suggest going all dark if you're platinum. 1. There's no reason to 2. You most likely will be unhappy 3. You will probably end up going back blonde which will end up costing you more money in the long run and be more damaging. Whenever I have a client who is super blonde and is either sick of maintaining it or their hair needs a break, I usually do some form of root melt (darken the first few inches with a color similar to their natural and blend some highlights up to soften) the reason being that they won't have to come in as often for touch ups costing them less money and less damage and also they will still be blonde so the dark won't be as shocking. As far as the blonde turning green when going dark, that's something every color technician should know how to prevent. If you're going to a stylist who turns your hair green- you need to find a new one ASAP! That's something that is taught in basic color theory, totally unacceptable.

    • @itscarolinemary
      @itscarolinemary 8 років тому

      yeah! I definitely know that! Thanks for all of your input. I'll probably look into getting that done sometime, it's just hard to when I'm actually ready to do it and completely over the platinum. My worry is that the darker dye won't last very long, but I only wash my hair every 5-6 days. What is the upkeep like with a process like this?

    • @justinanderson106
      @justinanderson106  8 років тому +2

      With a bleach and tone, sometimes i will do a root gloss with 8N DiaRichesse 6 Vol in the back and 9N DiaRichesse 6 Vol in the front for 8-10 minutes. It will force you to extend the time between seeing your hairdresser!
