Well Said. Being Flashy lends itself to being seen as GAUDY.
I have worked with a lot of old money women and men. None of them would ever wear those Pilgrim shoes with the giant buckle! Even if your ancestors came over on the Mayflower, those are not classy , nor tasteful. These Blue Blood women will wear Ferragamo flats as a casual shoe.
I agree. so ugly.
I think the only reason those buckle shoes became popular was because of Sex and the City.
My FIL is a multi millionaire and he dresses very nice but he eschews luxury. A lot of this is overstateed.
Blahnik heels with a big gaudy silver buckle - sorry, there's nothing understated about those. And Chanel ballet flats with the Chanel logo sewn into the leather on the toe is plain tacky. Real luxury doesn't need the flex.
Absolutely agree with you. Looks trashy. Also, I never wear or carry anything with somebody else's name on it.
My Chanel flats are comfortable and the Logo is in the back of the shoe
I choose comfort but has class and fashionable too.... Depends on the occasion too
Pilgrim house of fashion
Pleeze... stop using the word EFFORTLESS.. it is so annoying.
OMG I get sick of effortless too. This person has an obsession with having money.
To be honest those are the shoes that normally were at the market without spending a monthly pay check, for a normal citizen, elegant, top quality, well done. Now is plastic everywhere. Now your comments that only rich people wear, is also not entirely true.
I miss being able to buy good quality shoes and clothing at your local shoe store or department store, too! It also getting more difficult to find a good shoe cobbler/repair man. Few people learn how to resolve and rejuvenate shoes now. Then again, it’s more challenging to buy shoes worthy of re-soling/re-healing, as so much in the market place is plastic. Not good for the environment , nor for our feet.

Wealthy women wear whatever they want. Chanel flats are a middle class logo scream. Those thin soled flat shoes are plain painful. And, rich women don’t wear somebody else’s dirty old shoes. This channel has no clue what goes on.
this is not representative of many wealthy but falls into steroetypes. also contradictory: unbranded shoes but then Chanel and Manolo. 10 minutes of my time I should have spent elsewhere.
Red wool coat, oh yes.
Dear me those sandels uke !?
To be really honest I wouldn't wear any of those shoes, ugly a lot of them pointy toes went out in the 60;s and as far as I am concerned can stay there. I always buy good leather shoes un branded but I look after them and they look like new and are so comfortable because they fit properly and thing not mentioned. I won't and never have given in to 'trends# or tried to emulate anyone. I am and always have been happy in my own skin.
Pointy shoes are back in style.
I wouldn't wear them personally but if someone likes them its OK.
Those shoes would hurt my feet so badly I WOULD SCREAM. Those classic loafers are CLUNKY and UGLY. Who is stupid enough to buy this ugly junk?
Classic loafers are a stable in a classical wardrobe, and if you find them ugly you don't have to buy and wear them.
I hate pointed shoes. My feet are pointy from wearing them when I was a child. I like flats, and closed toed sandals. I used to wear high heels. But I got my hip displaced so I can’t wear them anymore. Chanel ballet flats? O yes. I have had them before
Where does one go to buy shoes when her foot is dainty and small 🤔?
Nordstroms.
@@annarowden9457I have a size 5 women’s shoe. Until the 00s, no complaints. Now I hope a 4.5 fits in certain brands. So many shoes I would purchase but they begin with a 5.5 or 6. Nordstroms does sell smaller sizes. Stuart Wietzman shoes, if now true to size, I’m a 4.5. Shoes that run small a 5. This brand usually works for me and have sales all the time 🎉
These pics are funny, not classy.
I can’t believe those awful chunky shoes. Not ! Sorry 🙏💛
