Class is in the makeup of people - can't be bought - it is just there. I remember an elderly father handing his daughter a little shawl as she was about to go out to dinner wearing a somewhat low cut dress. Instead of commenting. he simply said "take this as it gets chilly in the evening". That father was very careful with words and he lived a simple life. People loved being in his company. To me, that is class.

After buying super knockoffs to try them out and then starting to buy the originals exclusively, I can tell you that most people will never be able to tell the difference if you buy them here *unidups* . If it's a low-profile brand, most people won't even know who the designer is. Super knockoffs aren't cheap either if you want good quality imported leather, mirror image replicas, etc. They start at $200 and go up to $1000-2000 depending on what you buy (bags, jewelry, shoes, etc.). If you find a good craftsman, they can make a replica for you

Money doesn’t buy class. There was a time when I believed that surrounding myself with wealthy and elite individuals would improve my life. I assumed they were inherently better people-more kind, refined or good in nature. But I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’ve come to realize that success and wealth doesn’t make a person automatically a better person. Wealth and success often magnify a person’s true character, and sadly, many fall short when it comes to decency. Finding someone with both wealth and genuine class is a rare exception.

I made 8 good friends that day! We have been friends for life as well! All about the circumstances! For a normal person all these are great tips! But there are exceptions to every rule!

I was close friends with a classmate that came from a hard working upper class family.
She asked me how much money i had. We were 27. I told her because we sent each other business.
She asked what i was going to do with.
    I said, “I don’t know.”
    “Can I borrow $7000? “
    “For what?”
“I wanna buy some jet skis. We would have a lot of fun.”
“No. I want to buy a house eventually.”
Omg, i thought she had some crazy illness.
I am debt free and she…doing her own thing. I don’t need to care anymore

Stop using “classy” and “wealthy” interchangeably; they are not synonyms. Plenty of people of new and old wealth are mean gossips or just judgmental, rude and crude.
Classy people do not behave that way, and are not always wealthy.
This video seems written by a person who wants to promote a certain etiquette, but does not actually know wealthy people. It promotes a false narrative.

That is extremely funny that you say wealthy women aren’t passive aggressive or gossipy. Having grown up among them I can tell you those are 2 touchstones of old money upper class women. Both are bad habits, obviously, but the most well bread and wealthiest women engage in both like they are Olympic sports. And btw, it has been this way since the beginning of history.( ex: any female of the French court, or Capotes “ Swans”.)

I had a demanding nail client that freaked out about leaving her $200 Fendi scarf in the other manicurists pedicure chair. “It’s here.” I didn’t need to know the cost. I gave it to the owner (her close friend). She is 91 now, years before i did drive to her house to give her the sunglasses she left at my station. Best neighborhood, nice antique furniture, but pokes me in the arm like I’m her slave. My arms are always sore bcz of my job. 30+ years. Now i crochet and sew and still have sore arms

unfortunately you are confusing wealth with class and elegance. All the above characteristics apply to class and elegance that can be possessed by not so wealthy but cultured or even just naturally gracious people. Not only nouveau riche but also old wealth women have been known to engage in gossip and passive aggressiveness, if not obvious vulgarity....

  • @SusieMullins-t6i

Wealth or poverty has little to do with it. True, wealthy people are unquestionably more likely to have more formal education, but who hasn’t heard filthy rich people using filthy language? Conversely, a blanket opinion that less wealthy people can be assumed to be ignorant and/or crude is unseemly and frankly cruel. Anyone can speak beautifully or in an unkind or even vulgar manner, irrespective of his/her wealth or lack thereof.

class is what money? Buy logos to build someone else's pockets? FYI What is wealthy. Wealthy people know who is wealthy. they know who went to the private schools who belongs to the country club who their husbands or dads do for business with. So your walk and clothing to pretend to fit in? You know your real friends that's the place to be not trying to fit in that you don't do business in and you are not in the club. rich doesn't mean you are refined or have integrity

My cousin is very bougie & nouveau riche. She has rubbed it in my face on Thanksgiving & Christmas that I had to work the next day. She has never had a job in her life. She also rubs it in when she gets to travel around the world. I told her that it takes a bougie to flap her lips like she does. When I sold jewelry, I got bougie people bragging about what they had spent in the last cruise port & that I should have met them the day before & how unlucky I was that I did not get the sale. I told one couple that did that to me how funny i thought it was that there was another couple who left there $25,000 package and did not find that! I wonder what an old money woman would say to that!

    Let me guess:
I’ll get the check. I just got lucky having affluent parents. No, I don’t find the working class a bunch of gullible peasants to be fleeced. I’d like to use my money and advantages to build a better world.
ALL of these? Color me shocked. And the working class wins the certainty to be worked to death, suffer daily survival trauma, and be trod upon in general- yay!
