The message is New Zealanders no longer are influenced by the MSM to the same degree and the people are fed up with liberal, progressivise (ie lefty) nonsense. The voters are becoming more conservative. They want to return to traditional NZ values.
What are the "Traditional New Zealand Values" that have been lost, but by not engaging with the MSM will be reinstated. The Platform is not mainstream media, but engages in centre right race gaslighting, of New Zealand Maori - the indigenous people of our country. Maori have traditionally voted Labor, but Labour through preelection smoke screen betrayed their votor base by making trades union membership voluntary, destroying long held employment agreements turning our country into the Great Depression revisited. Many changes all came at once and New Zealanders were allowed very little breathing space between these. Over the sea in Australia their federal government seeing the changes in New Zealand thought a much less punitive series of changes, would bring more efficiency to their own labor market. Australian Trades Unions referred to this as the New Zealand disease so over there the changes were more benign. Now to NZ of today and the faux outrage for effect of a onetime National government bench warmer has been recruited to present his employers political views. They may be the views of Mr Laws too, but not nesseserely so. When the Kings Shilling is taken, it's an ownership agreement. The often mentioned Taxpayers Money being wasted is a ploy to raise discontent and resentment towards the government. What is a waste of Taxpayers money to one person is a vital funding source for another. Laws and Plunket are objects of harmless fun really, much like a set petulant pouty twins from a different Mum and Dad. Yet, in my own view there is room for everyone no matter race, creed, political preferences, how we self identify, like or dislike or love. Most of what other people do that not illegal is just how they choose to be. Why purposly allow ourselves to be hurt filled and resentful from what the media from all directions including boutique broadcasters like the Platform with their self elevated beleif of holding a franchise on the truth, might have to say through its talking head gurmudgens as they test listeners coping mechanisms ability to withstand the fatuous nonsense they want to pass off as the truth.

TPM just want to destroy NZ, they have even openly stated this in parliament. Labour still isn’t reading the room, hence still losing voters, people don’t want them to be pro TPM. Had Labour tried to get on with NZFirst they may have stayed in, I’m not saying it’s a good move, but in power vs out of power, sometimes one has to pair up with the competitor. By dismissing this as an option they lost a lot of voters. Not because people want NZFirst but because they wanted more balance, less woke crap. Why NZ first because many who usually vote Labour did move to NZFirst. The greens have lost the plot and TPM have lost the plot, both just too radical to be liked. I hate Luxon, but wouldn’t be surprised if he gets another term, Hipkins still isn’t reading the room, even though everyone is shouting the answers to him.
@ they openly said it, they want a separate government, they hate all white people (still majority of people in NZ), unless they are getting money they care about nothing, even their response to Moriori was odd, rather than saying Maori mistreated them, they are saying they need to get over it, it’s just a terrible party, who I might add has spent more money than any other party per head, and has spent the least time in parliament. A better question might be what have they actually achieved. It’s also important to note TPM are not representative of all Maori just like National and Labour are not representative of all other people.

Maybe Chippy needs to ask the British if Queen Victoria of the high and mighty British Empire, the sun never set on, would "partner" govern with tribal natives who ate slaves
You know why the coalition are still popular ? They are actually doing what was on their manifesto - what a change ! Compare that to the Labour/Maori/Greens who said one thing and they pulled He Puapua out of their backsides and started implementing it without any mandate whatsoever.
Ordinary people who are basically politically neutral by nature may have swung between Labour or National in past years depending on perceived policies and leadership. However the far left is unlikely to attract them despite some sympathy for the founding principles of the Green party. This is primarily due to Te Pati Maori aided by the Greens and to a lesser extent Labour seeking to separate NZ by race with policies that are not only radical but akin to apartheid in reverse. The "mainstream" media have become less relevant to many as their news coverage and opinion bias works against them to the point where they are largely ignored.
I'm Maori but have believed for some time now that the Maori seats should go in parliament as I thought it gives the left an unfair advantage. Now that TPM have gotten hold of these seats and they are so extreme left it appears that the Maori seats have worked against the left wing as people are scared off anyone who would support such extreme communistic tribal thinking. It has actually pushed more people to the centre right, thank God.
Thank Michael, my thoughts exactly. Was a Labour's supporter and went to National. Will be going further right to Act if National hasn't got the nuts to do something significant about these Racists and the Racist policies
Yeh just look at Starmer. What a globalist hater of the British people, sending billions to Ukaine to be laundered back while old pensioners freeze in the winter.
The coalition government MUST NOT drift to the left on any issue. The silent majority are fed up with the biased media. Let Labour be pulled down by the Maori party.
I don't have a lot of faith in polls as they vary all the time, what I will say is Act has gone up in a lot of people's view, because he was the only man willing to open up the debate on the Treaty, as far as Luxon is concerned, he is the typical Key prodigy, deny, deny and deny, even when the facts point to selling NZ'ers down the river on the Treaty bill with Labour. Well articulated and agree totally with your comments. I've had to explain to our overseas friends that this is exactly how a coalition govt works...representation of their voters.
Mike Laws has said something I have thought for a long time. Labour is going nowhere unless they decouple from Te Pati Maori. Does he understand this? It appears not. He doubles down on his position. If he keeps it up Labour is in for defeats both at national and local level. New Zealanders are waking up to what Te Pati Maori extremists are up to and they don't like it. You need to understand this Mr Hipkins.
Politicians care about polls? When asked about National’s drop and Labour’s rise in the poll, Luxon said: “Whether we go up or down in the polls, as you know, I have the same position, which is I just don’t care.''
Michael, it is not that remarkable that the coalition has retained its political position given what the current options are. Using those options as a reference point, it’s not remarkable at all.
I'm voting NZ First or ACT from now on. Jacinda was a disaster but it seems that the Chris's are just as bad. I would imagine it is the loony fringe of the Greens and Labour who are migrating to TPM.
Thank you Michael for spelling it out. If we can get a new leader for National who is prepared to stand by all the people of New Zealand we may have an MMP parliament to be reckoned with.
Many in the Labour Party support Te Pati Maori's agenda, especially the Maori caucus, as evidenced by He Puapua by stealth. The 'radicals' (as the mainstream media called them back in the day) have gradually wormed their way into our parliament and public institutions over the last 40 years. That, coupled with Identity politics and Critical theories coming from the US Universities during the Obama era has helped transform the NZ Labour Party into an almost unrecognisable approximation of what it was during Helen Clark's and prior governments.
Thing with MMP is you are tied to your likely Coalition partners. Strong Maori party is a gift to the right. All Western Nations are moving right. Only problem is look at how far left their capital cities vote.. Washington DC went like 90% Kamala. Wellington, Canberra etc all huge margins to the left. Shows some huge clean outs of our bureaucracy are needed.
Hang on, if the Maori party want both separate rights for different races, and separate governments for each of the races... doesn't that make them the far right?
Hear what you’re saying, Michael, but the New Zealanders are not full and we’re not full by these poles either. Nobody in their right mind would vote for the Maori party if anyone thinks that they would be able to lead this country, I don’t know how anyone could even think for that for a moment
No one appears to notice that the triumvirate leading the attack on Te Pati Maori, are all Maori. Peters, Seymour and Jones. Behind them there is a cohort of Maori Parliamentarians, Costello, etc. It is beginning to feel like the return of the Maori wars. Waka Nene, Ropata, the defenders of Wanganui on the British side. Maori have to choose between belonging to the world or returning to tribalism.

Well said. Thank you. Keep up your great work. Yes state media is so biased its not worth reading. We should not be even paying for them.
TPM is the death of Labour and the Greens. The media bias is awful but the incompetence of our public officials is worse. I’ve gone in search of opportunity overseas again as I’d returned during the pandemic.
Why would you want to move when we have a centre right government now in power? It takes a bit of time to see these benefits but the tide is turning and you'll likely be heading to worse overseas.
@@geotruthnz7013 Been mostly negative so far, the obsessively National would never see that regardless. Adern's reign set teh stage, we've already lost plenty of skilled people & key industry & totally failed to secure the supply chain factors that were so damaging during Covid.
It's not if, it's when, & the rabbit hole dwellers indulging in phosphine would greatly enhance NZ's future. Trickle-down economics aren't working.
You are dead right Michael.
Why do you think TPM want to destroy NZ?
@ they openly said it, they want a separate government, they hate all white people (still majority of people in NZ), unless they are getting money they care about nothing, even their response to Moriori was odd, rather than saying Maori mistreated them, they are saying they need to get over it, it’s just a terrible party, who I might add has spent more money than any other party per head, and has spent the least time in parliament. A better question might be what have they actually achieved. It’s also important to note TPM are not representative of all Maori just like National and Labour are not representative of all other people.

Last week on RNZ Labour Moaning Report, Hopkins declared that China never invaded another country. It appears Hopkins might have lost his grip on reality.
Not long ago Luxon stated his family grocery bill was about $50 a week and bottom dwellers needed to get a grip on reality.
@@johnmead8437 Maybe Luxon meant $50 a day per person . :D
@@Roger_Gadd Nah, he's out of touch with bottom dwellers (maybe not his education mentors) and their very real plight and uncaring. Rich prick epitome. And this not from a "lefty", but current Seymour/Peters supporter. With some reservations. I like it the way it is, at least we know what Labour are thinking/wanting/planning by sucking up to TMP.
I'm bloody sick of seeing Chippy on the telly. Give it a rest!!!!
Tvnz breakfast loves him😂
TVNZ gives political parties set exposure to debate key issues. They practice democracy in that situation. Others don't want this is it doesn't suit their agenda.
And Hipkins often raises sound & awkward points about how the current Govt is performing, which from a swing voter, is poor on plenty of issues & actions.
Well said..
The Labour, Greens and, and Tea Party still have a complete stranglehold on local and regional councils and they can totally dominate local politics from this position…They don’t need to be in power in central government as the coalition is so weak against local government bodies..The woke councils are giving the finger to the coalition knowing they are powerless to do anything, and in the mean time hard working citizens are bled dry to pay for unelected maori representatives, cyclists nonsense, climate fanatics , all using rate payers money to pay for unnecessary pipe dreams for a very small minority of citizens….
So right! this is what is ment by the term "DEEP STATE"!.... situation isa mob of UNIVERSITY toady woke crowd of paper rich but inexperienced in practical realities is IN PLACE (unelected) they will do anything to stay on the taxpayer titty! the obstruct elected politicians policy....Trump (like him or not) ran against this in his first term
I'm over that woke shit
Sharpen up! The Taxpayers Curia Poll yesterday was extraordinary despite it being ignored by TV1. Nat 34.2% plus Act 13% can govern ALONE. TPM can only win 7 seats.Get it?
You are right Michael, especially about TPM, Matthew Hooten, and the Greens.
Chris Hipkins just moved closer to TAM party by saying he considers 'Māori didn't give up Sovereignty' in T0W on an interveiw on Te Ao with Moana.
Hipkins is a drop kick, simple.😂.
Yep despicable bunch they were, and still doing it
Imagine if there was an official legit app created for everyone to take part in regarding polls. Democracy would have a chance
Apartheid is Apartheid no matter who is the underdog. No such this as reverse Apartheid. Same as racism. Only my opinion.
That’s it in a nutshell, I almost feel sorry for Chippie when he looks at his coalition partners
He looks like a scared possum
I didnt realise it was only real apartheid if it's only whites doing it
Spot on
David Seymour for future Prime Minister
Yea I really like him too. He's really onto it
I'm Maori but have believed for some time now that the Maori seats should go in parliament as I thought it gives the left an unfair advantage.
Don't forget Hipkins just been on a * Training School* to the UK on How to make Labour Better. Haha. Wot a Bloody Joke
Labour in th uk are toast. They be out next election
Yeh just look at Starmer. What a globalist hater of the British people, sending billions to Ukaine to be laundered back while old pensioners freeze in the winter.
MMP has worked a treat, over time, to uncover the countries inescapable underlying political energy. Historically NZ is conservative.
100% Mr Laws, and when Labour MPs openly support Maori Party in parliament then the chances of a left coalition is doomed.
The coalition government MUST NOT drift to the left on any issue. The silent majority are fed up with the biased media. Let Labour be pulled down by the Maori party.
The majority of NZ has always been centre right.
Never ever will I vote for Labour again.
100% agree
Why? Because we *hated* Labour so much.
Te Pati Maori will gain in numbers because of lots of tribal people blindly following their chief, rather than using logic.
Maaori are intelligent beings🙌

HI Michael. Wishing you a lovely Christmas period and loads of blessings. You represent what I call my news channels now. Certainly can't find anything like your quality sense making in the mainstream.
And sadley the Anglican Church is alined with TPM. The Archbishops were part of the Hikoi. Racism is alive and well in this country
Perfectly said Michael.. ( clapping hands ) I have heard nothing but Maori and the mainstream media crying ever since National came in...
Why do you think Google, Facebook, smart phones spend so much effort gathering your data? Whoever controls the data controls the people.
Well articulated and agree totally with your comments. I've had to explain to our overseas friends that this is exactly how a coalition govt works...representation of their voters.
Spot on.
Very well stated and accurate Michael 👏
Very interesting Michael thank you for that
Mike Laws has said something I have thought for a long time.
Luxo goes missing on the big issues, not a decisive leader
I have been here in NZ since 2006 and never been contacted by anyone to do a poll. How are people even contacted for this?
Polls are fake. Just a steering mechanism.
Awesome discussion thank you for your clear insight
Have a wonderful Christmas
Politicians care about polls? When asked about National’s drop and Labour’s rise in the poll, Luxon said: “Whether we go up or down in the polls, as you know, I have the same position, which is I just don’t care.''
Michael, it is not that remarkable that the coalition has retained its political position given what the current options are. Using those options as a reference point, it’s not remarkable at all.
Yes , when you put it like that.
One wouldn’t expect anything else
As a tv engineer, I tell you that your cameras whitelevel is too high.
Good analysis Michael
Awwww Michael!!! Why did you have to go and tell Hipkins THAT? If he listens to you, he may actually succeed! Thanks very much! Grrrrrr.
Thanks Michael PM Hipkins on your advice Cheers..
I'm voting NZ First or ACT from now on.
Jacinda was a disaster but it seems that the Chris's are just as bad.
I would imagine it is the loony fringe of the Greens and Labour who are migrating to TPM.
So then…mad Irish Deb with the moko is Luxon’s secret weapon 😂😂😂
That is what it is with her, the Penney just dropped part Irish ☘️ part Māori no wonder she is the way she is.
Luxcinda talks with forked tongue he won't be back David Seymore for prime Minister
Brilliant Mr Laws! 🎉
Great commentary
Dude , labour haven't been centre left foe 20 yrs , u ment to say far far leftest nazis.
The poles lack the pegs to hold them up 🎉😂
Exactly just a farcical joke 😂.
Excellent analysis.
its alright to suggest Hopkins try to appeal to the centre , but we all know that labour will re nagging on any pre election promises he makes
"Bugger the polls" - Jim Bolger, when he nearly lost the 1993 election

Thing with MMP is you are tied to your likely Coalition partners. Strong Maori party is a gift to the right. All Western Nations are moving right. Only problem is look at how far left their capital cities vote.. Washington DC went like 90% Kamala. Wellington, Canberra etc all huge margins to the left. Shows some huge clean outs of our bureaucracy are needed.
Western Urban Left. Priviliged, self-loathing, virtue signaling, "follow the trendy issue", twats.
National has done nothing! They’re only there because of act and nzf! Don’t like luxon at all!

Great piece
