- If you haven't heard, the Disney series from 2001, The Proud Family, has been brought back to life with a new reboot on Disney+ called The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. The new version is riddled with blatant woke messaging. Remember, this show is for kids.

What makes me sad is that I remember the original Proud Family. I watched it as a kid. They used to teach lessons like gossip is wrong, be good to your friends, don't lie. And to see this is such a shame.
What happened to Bugs Bunny , Flintstones , Jetsons?
They also had lessons against Islamophobia for example, so it’s not like they never spoke on prejudice before, but I feel they used to do it in a more nuanced way this is just over the top
Penny had bad friends , those blue girls were better freinds , forgot what they were called
@@reneemctume357 it was never nuanced it was always right in ur face😂 they literally defaced a family home and said go back to your country. proud family was never subtle abt anything
@@isaiahcarter8848 Yeah but they didn’t scream “Islamophobia is bad” with literal microphones like they did in this episode. Seems like they used to “show” and now they “tell,” which makes the message seem more forced.
As a man in a interracial family, I REFUSE to let my kids see this. This is terrible. It's like I'm in the 50s but the roles are reverse now.
I feel bad for parents today having to worry about this stuff being pushed on their children constantly. I wish you and your family the best man.
@nightmarishcompositions4536 thank you 🙏🏾, luckily I'm usually on youtube so I'm kept abreast and aware of stuff like this. I'm able to vet the shows before they find interest and my wife knows what is going on at this point.
The only thing Disney has nowadays that has any substance is Kingdom Hearts, and they barely do anything with it.
But maybe that's for the best.
Sounds like your kids will grow up to be good people with no hate/racism in their hearts.
@@inkchariot6147 Good news, bad news, good news: Good news:There will be a Kingdom Hearts 4 for the Playstation 5 sometime either 2024 or 2025. Bad news: modern day Disney is partly involved. Good news: it's a Square Enix game and they tend to stay AWAY from hardcore woke propaganda in their stories (even their most recent game, Forspoken, which is NOT a woke game, stayed away from that, especially during the two plot twists later in that game). But, modern day Disney is involved... but they tend to leave Square Enix alone (hopefully it stays that way).So Kingdom Hearts 4 will most likely NOT be woke. Granted, it might have a very convoluted story (LOL), but NOT woke.
It’s absurd, what they’re feeding the younger generation. I’ve got a niece in Tx, and some black kid & his friends called her a racist for not giving him free cookies (that my niece worked hard to bake & sell!) just because he’s black, & he should get free shit because it was black history month. According to these entitled brats, my niece is racist.
My niece who’s got an Asian mom and a black father. SMH…
I'm sorry that happened to your niece
i also live in tx!! got touched in ways i cant say and because i didn’t wanna do anything i got called racist and that i was his slave bc it was black history month and that my ancestors (who were also slaves to black people) did stuff to his that it was right
Most blacks are entitled
It’s very sad that all this wokeness is teaching kids to be entitled.
I know ur comment is a month of but DAMN! I don't understand. My kids have always been friends with other races, in fact my youngest daughters best friend is Mexican girl and she and her little brother are part of our family. I can't imagine her friend saying she's owed something because shes Mexican....it just wouldn't happen. Also her mother would have a fit. Lol. I LOVE when my daughter and her friends are drawing and they talk about finding the crayon that matches each others skin because they both recognize and appreciate that one is tan and the other is light....and it's NEVER an issue....just different colors.
I’m a POC and a woman. It’s so weird to see how it feels like everyone is telling me to be constantly offended and mad at things that already happened and got overblown. Like let me live and be. Being Arab, I loved jasmine, I saw myself in her. I saw myself because I had that same wavy long black hair and olive skin, but most importantly, she and I had similar personalities. Someone just told me recently that I shouldn’t have liked it since it perpetuates harmful stereotypes. Like dude I don’t care, Agraba is a fictional place in a fictional world.
As a kid who grew up with this show and watched it all the time, I never even noticed the color of their skin. When I was little it was normal to have friends of all colors and nobody thought anything of it. It still boggles my mind how racism is suddenly such a big deal again...
"anti-raysis" grifters getting big bucks for their "causes" -- as well as evil people enjoying watching the world burn from their propaganda efforts. It's pure evil all 'round.
It could be because as children we don’t notice it. When we’re older that’s when we notice it
@@crystaljam9661 Are you saying people suddenly become racist when they become an adult? Nobody I know personally has been that way. I just know that about 6 years ago all of a sudden everyone started acting like racism was actually a big issue in the US when it hasn't actually been much of a problem since long before I was born. Sure there might be certain areas that are worse than others but people really need to stop acting like the US as a whole or even certain states are systematically racist because they're not. Where I live black people have the same standard of living as everyone else and are accepted and treated equally and I live in a reliably Republican and very religious state.
But the main character and majority of the cast is POC so of course they want to expand on the culture of what that character is representing. I keep reading that “as kids I didn’t see race”, but your parents explained to you your ethnicity, heritage, culture didnt they? All that I got from this video and these comments is that people just want to live in their ignorance bubbles and have everything in media be cookie cutter. But literally you know how boring that stuff can get, then the next thing you know the general public complains theirs no diversity or the POC characters have no personality because you sheep people were scared these shows are too WOKE!
Never grew up with the original as I grew up with Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color back when Walt the man still lived but for those who did know of The Proud Family, Disney, please please stick with the original Proud Family. ❤SC
There’s something truly disgusting and vile that someone would use the atrocities of slavery and what those people went through as a scapegoat for your own entitlement and ego.
*exaggerated sense of entitlement
I hear people say this often but I'm just not understanding where the entitlement is? What is the claim? History shouldn't be taught. Or? People whose families were affected by history shouldn't talk about it? Or?
I'm just having a hard time understanding why people seem to be so upset anytime not so nice parts of American history is mentioned? I didn't hear anything about "blame non colored people in 2023" or "This is little 6 yr old Timmy's fault because he's a person of no color"....I'm not seeing the correlation but I'm really trying to.
I was taught about slavery in school....and it didn't make me suddenly hate people of no color or anyone I know hate them either for that matter.
Me being in school when you upload a video lol
@@mariz_mariz 2:14
@@mariz_mariz the problem is the cartoon is saying black people deserve reparations and that's dumb.
"do something with your white privilege" I can't explain how much those words pissed me off

Disney just doesn't get how being respectful to other people is so simple...
They had an episode dedicated to blk history month in the original series as well but it was nothing like this. The episode took the characters back in time to segregation and they went to school with each other and they realized they couldn’t hang out with Zoe (the white friend). The episode was educational and light hearted. It taught children that you can be friends with anyone and that America has come a long way . I’m really disappointed in the proud family reboot. I use to love that show as a child.
Yes!! Thus is so sad 😔
Facts;
Same. This was my family’s favorite show when I was younger, and that episode in particular made me extremely grateful for my black friends and the fact that we could actually be friends. It drove the message home. Seems like they want to do the opposite now
same i remember that
Proud Family was one of my go-to shows after school alongside Ned's declassified school survival guide and Emperor's new school.
Each and every one of these shows had "representation" (well actually, there was only one white guy in the whole thing lol) but none of them talked about representation or race or gender, everything was just completely natural with completely natural stories and interactions. My friends growing up were black, asian, iranian, native and white, until I moved to academically gifted programs as a teenager (at which point asian became more heavily represented), and we literally never talked about race.
Now, my nephew, in an elite private school in kindergarten, brought up the difference in our skin color multiple times last time I was hanging out with him (he's mixed). He's literally 5, this shit shouldn't be happening.
Who else remembers when Disney made wholesome, family oriented movies?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
@@jwalker3449 Man .....the Witch Mountain movies. Those bring back memories.

@J Walker AND THE INCREDIBLES (but just the first one smh)
I love that meme
I definitely do I grew up during their peak
I know it wasn’t the main focus, but I’m tired of people being racist to white people and not caring but getting pissed when you say something that’s not meant to be racist. Double standards
You know, I always thought that the ability to fall in love with someone of another race and creating a family with them, would be the epitome of human love. The ability for two cultures to come together and accept each other and create a somewhat new one. I thought that fighting for equality would fight for something as beautiful as this. But for some reason it has become distorted. Now they see it as disgusting? What??
They've become so consumed with hate for villains of the past, that today, they have become the villains themselves.
I agree; when will the blm movement stop? Its regressing in progress when it comes to racial relations
The BLM movement will stop when people realize the truth that God has for them. It’s free on UA-cam watch the long version of one blood by “answers in genesis.” It’s an hour. But if you do need to save time watch the 10 minute version first.
Very, very poetic. Very, very true.
I think so. Mix breeding is beautiful. I'm a proud mixed breed.
Yep God created us to not care about skin color. He created all of us. My people are killing themselves with ignorance and blind anger.
I grew up with the og Proud Family and I loved it as a kid. My parents also loved it because it was funny, taught moral lessons, and it was relatable. Best of all, it covered a lot of different and "diverse" topics without getting political. The second I heard that it was being rebooted, I knew it was going to be full of woke & racist bs. Still, I didn't expect it to be THIS bad, Jesus.
Ong.
DITTO!!!
I didn't find anything off until they brought the extra characters. I thought Mia was supposed to be a mockery of wokeness but I guess she was the tool they needed to spread more BS
Oh look, another weeaboo being racist against black people.
@@Uta_Chandra.Hpretty much I don’t like it at all
What I enjoyed about the original Proud Family was that it had a diverse cast of all skin tones and sizes. And that they touched on subjects from different cultures and races and family dynamics without beating you over the head. Now, subtly just went out a window and onto a bed of flaming nails below.
It was a GREAT show, I used to love watching it and not once did their skin colour ever cross my mind. I just saw a sweet family and good stories.

I’m a biracial woman and I have a huge issue with the mother, penny and the baby girl are all light skinned and the father and son are dark skinned. Wtf
@@donttalktomeyoureannoying8736 why’s that such an issue?
I don't think I ever heard "white supremecy" in a kids show before
Especially the way you explained the thing with Zoey. The reason they were so mad is because he was not just dating to date but because of bigoted reasons he chose Zoey. To be honest though the writers should have done better with that episode because the way they treated Zoe like it was her fault is not ok.
That episode was a MESS
The writer is the problem, not the characters personality. I’d like to guess one of the writers of the show is black and feels threatened by white women for being more sought after.
In my opinion even the actual message of bigottry they wanted to send, was overshadowed by the fact that the girls, icluding the two who were already in a romantic relationship, were just jealouse of the guy dating Zoey instead of them.
It would have been a way better approach if the tension originated from the girls beeing protective of Zoeys feelings rather than angry that the guy wants to date Zoey instead of them, just because he has a (racial) preference. Which in my opinion isn´t even a particulary bad thing, as long as it isn´t as shallow as in the episode.
My jaw literally dropped when they started going on about slavery. The Proud family was my favorite show and look at how they massacred my boy
Are they not allowed to talk about slavery ? Maybe they did it inappropriately but they should be able to talk about it. After all it did happen
@@myrayglasgow6320 Yeah it happened... A long time ago. Enough already.
Yeah yeah, we need to teach history. Absolutely! But we're barreling toward a point where when you ask the average American what they know about our history, they'll really ONLY be able to tell you about the atrocity of slavery. Which, by the way, we ended.
@@kitasenyev9857 you didn’t do anything in history is history and we shouldn’t in about it if you don’t like this week that’s fine but don’t act like other people don’t wanna acknowledge it yes it was a long time ago but clearly it had an effect on this country

@@myrayglasgow6320 Fair enough! You're right, I had nothing to do with it.
It's more accurate to say that centuries of cultivated wisdom and grace on the part of European (white) Christian men facilitated the epiphany that slavery is immoral.
We should absolutely teach people about slavery! Just as long as the above fact is part of the conversation, as well as the fact that it was not unique to white/European civilization.
Exactly. It's not about race. It is and always has been about rich politicians manipulating the views and perceptions of the poor and the sooner that we see that the sooner we can come together.
True but capitalism negatively affects everyone especially black people. The system was created based off of slavery. During slavery in order to gain more wealth and stop uprisings they placed the white indentured servants over the black slaves and started hiring white slave catchers to catch escaped enslaved black people. Slavery was abolished only because white people didn't like "black people taking their jobs"; not because they felt empathy for black people. Ever since slavery white people have worked to ensure black people are always "below" them and they do this globally. This is why America doesn't care about the horrors it does to the black and brown countries globally. Slavery does hurt everyone and an extremely unfair systèm with extremely limited upward class mobility is detrimental to all of global society; but white people believes (mostly subconsciously) that everyone should be below them and until that changes things will not improve but get worse. The only reason why middle class and poor white people care about what's happening now is because it is effecting white people now. They cared NOT when it effected any non-white group.
I would say that it's less about those individuals in power more than that is about the "useful idiots" on the ground perpetuating the same notion by those few.

I actually had the opportunity to rewatch Static Shock and saw exactly how 90s/00s cartoons handled persistent racism. The WHITE KID was the one mad at his racist dad. and the episode ended with this same racist dad trying his best to be a less-racist person and be more accepting in general. It was a little preachy, sure, but handled SO much more delicately than the clips from this show.

I grew up in a city with a population that's 60-65% Hispanic (probably more like 70% by now) and almost all of my friends are Hispanic. The Proud Family is a disgrace for saying that interracial friendships and relationships are wrong. Even if we have disagreements about certain things (including who's to blame politically), they are still my friends.
The moment someone brings up "racial reparations" I can't help but roll my eyes. I don't owe anyone anything, especially when I was never involved in slavery.

To trigger a violent revolution, you need an army of its own citizens. To gain an army of a nation's own citizens, you must teach them to hate their country. To teach them to hate their country you want the young, the disenfranchised and the gullible.
Seems like the machine is creating more disenfranchised people than intended which ends up being not in their favor. Reason why they're trying to open the border as much as possible. Give freebies to those who hold no loyalty to our country in exchange for their support leads to how Rome fell. California is doing it right now with opening police officer positions to non citizens. Soon probably the military to fill the recruitment gaps as well.

We should’ve never ended it. It was the government using the military and literally forcing white peoples to interact with blacks at GUNPOINT that ended segregation. Nobody voted for it. The globalist state simply murdered those whites who refused.
I grew up in the early 2010s, (elementary age) and I am so glad my parents didn't let me watch Disney channel, or other shows like this. I am also very glad that I'm an older teen as this happens, so I don't have to watch this as a child.
Thank you Brett for bringing awarness to this, I hadn't even known about any of this until I found your page. ❤
I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and it is extremely exhausting to have to monitor every single show my kids are exposed to because of all of this. I remember being a child and just enjoying TV without having questions about issues that children shouldn't have to think about. Never mind the fact that these shows are spewing lies at our children.
I have a one year old and while we try not to do too much screen time, we only play PragerU Kids (Otto's Tales is great for this age!) and sometimes Ms. Rachel for her.
Just get old Disney and Pixar movies and put on old cartoons like Tom and Jerry.

Find the old Looney Toons and put those on for your kids. We had the best cartoons when I was a little kid in the early to mid-80s.
With the internet, you can now just throw on some old shows. My kid loved the shows I used to watch. Sure he’d make fun of the technology (green screen, etc) but we still had fun watching them together. Shows like Mr Rogers and Reading Rainbow are timeless. I still pull up Mr Rogers clips on YT as an adult. I always loved when they showed you how things are made.
I have my nephews and niece watch the old cartoons I did. They love them and I know it's good content. Being an animator myself, I'm trying get my cartoon off the ground to give families a fresh breath of air, away from shit like this
I've said it before, I feel that the best children shows and films were the ones with imaginary worlds, creatures and animals because it allowed children to relate to characters individually based on their own experiences.

Worse: the original Proud Family show's animators weren't treated very well by Disney. They were thrown to the wolves once no longer needed, and latter seasons of the show were shipped to South Korea to cut costs. I met one of the former animators. He had to get a job in construction. His girlfriend left him, because she was a worthless two-bit gold-digging piece of trash. And the fact that he got a construction job wasn't enough to convince her to stay. The second she learned that Disney laid him off as an animator, she abandoned him. And even taught her kids to hate him! I hope that Karen has learned not to be so cruel and stupid by now; but I doubt it. The Lake of Fire is licking its chops for her!

Humans just can't stop the bullying
Why can't everyone just be friends...
The second I saw they were rebooting this, I knew it was going to be crammed full of woke ideology. And I just looooove how they insist African slaves "built this country" when they primarily plucked cotton - a dying industry in the South East region alone. Meanwhile you never hear about the Chinese or Irish whining about their ancestors building the railroads under horrible conditions, y’know, making actual infrastructure...
Have you noticed most black people seem to think that blacks never owned slaves? Hell most of the people taken from Africa were sold into slavery by other Africans.
If the song was "under paid workers built this country" it would have been more historically accurate. Lol
Or the fact that there were black slave owners.
Its because there virtual signalling to blm.
Really historical accuracy 😅 look I I am all fine for historical accuracy but it seems like every time does bought up we try to erase what happened to Black people and I do understand not only Black people suffered but we don’t have to act like the suffering was minor American history is very dark but it is history and we should learn about it in all of it for all the people who suffered but we don’t have to erase one to learn about the other
Absolutely disgusting this is why we need cameras in our kids classrooms. We need to see what they are teaching our kids and make sure it’s math science and history not political narratives
I mean if staff can vlog their days, why not students?
The world is already heavily monitored with spy cameras.
Just pull your kids out and homeschool. Problem solved.
And when they teach history, it needs to be objective. Any time I cracked open my history textbook when I was taking AP US History as a junior, I got straight-up facts. This happened, this is how it happened, this is who was involved, yadda yadda yadda. At no point did the book give me the author's "feelings" on what happened, and at no point in the course (or any history course I've ever taken for that matter) was there a question about my "feelings" on the subject. The questions were along the lines of "based on the text above, what had the biggest impact on _______?" or "the ideas expressed in the text above are consistent with which of the following beliefs?" And then for the open-ended questions, it was "Briefly describe ____" or "Evaluate ____." You could kiss all your points goodbye if you put your personal feelings in your answer.
The damage is already done. A lot of my fellow younger folks are completely clueless to the truth when I talk to them. Many don't even know there were white civil rights activists (they've never been told about them)! They just assume "everyone was racist back then". I've literally been posting some articles on Reddit about some of them (including Pastor Paul Turner of Clinton, Tennessee, WWII Sgt. John Sweet, and the people of Pleasanton, Texas who in 1957 overwhelmingly voted to desegregate their public schools). Every time they react in shock, and didn't think it was possible for white folks to so strongly care about blacks. This is how much of an uphill battle we have to fight. The woke ideology is injecting venom into our society.
3:45 honestly same. I do not watch movies or shows to get told that I’m a racist. I watch shows for entertainment. A way to escape and immerse myself in a different world than ours
Funny enough you didn’t even cover the worst parts of the show. They bring up the book white fragility and tell someone to read it. They specifically say “black people cant be racist”.

I watched this show as a kid because it was about being proud of being black, not being a victim or being suppressed. For realizing the things that go on and not being afraid to be who you are.
Plus, Destiny’s Child sang the theme song so that was obviously awesome lol
That opening really took me back. And those statistics actually shocked me. I really thought the numbers would be higher.
To recap and give a quick review of what I think of each 10 episode of season 2.
1) Real development for Suga Mama, and loved how they wrapped up her ending with her dad, and prove that change can be positive for everybody.
2) Really fun to watch, Penny going through hormones, Suga Mama taking care of her, then Penny takes care of her. Plus finally calling out that Bobby is lazy.
3) Propaganda
4) Fun to watch, and love how Suga Mama told them off at the end.
5) Funny, enjoyed watching this very much, crazy antics
6) Toxic shit
7) Nice story, good music vibes and a heartwarming ending.
8) Scary, but like how it referenced the movie.
9) How the addressed Bebe was autistic was handled very well.
10) Propaganda

correction on the episode about Zoe. He only asked her out BECAUSE she is white. HE fetishized her. And the reason everyone IRL is mad about that particular episode is that they went after Zoey instead of the dude. They alienated her for no other reason than they were upset.
You deserve top comment.
“Fetishized” ? In a kids show they actually said that word?
Why couldn’t it be a preference? I usually don’t like men with light features like blonde hair and blue eyes and very white skin but that doesn’t mean I “fetishize” men with dark features. Most people have preferences or certain things that they are attracted to in a person physically
@@savsmiles3042 Fetishized wasn't used in the episode, but it's what alot of others have said that had a problem with it. Everyone can have a preference, but the color of someone's skin shouldn't be the ONLY reason you ask someone out.
I find it particularly messed up that Penny and Dijonay wanted in on this guy too. They both already have boyfriends what the hell. 💀
And the way the girls shit on Zoey for getting the guy is disgusting too. She was happy about having someone and all of her friends go "Oh, it's only because you're white". That is such a terrible thing to say especially since they didn't have any proof of that at the time. They practically said that being white was her only "attractive" feature.
And rather than go after the guy they treated their friend like utter shit even though she didn't know in the first place. And Dijonay is a fucking hypocrite because she's already dating someone and got mad that the guy wasn't interested in her.
To be fair the girls in this show had always been bad (or sometimes out right toxic) friends and also a funny thing is that the original show had an episode about racism against a muslim family and fans actually liked it.
There is a way to tackle racism properly. That episode had a message to accept differences and treat others with respect.
This new stuff is just racialized propaganda and shoving social issues in peoples faces telling them what theyre supposed to think about it. Not something that should be in a kids show.
@@Yvs8962 I completely agree with you but there are people who have in fact had the same experience this is always showing we can’t act like it doesn’t exist we don’t have to villainizing though but it does exist
Yeah, I think fans wanted Penny to ditch those girls a long time ago. XD
I thought that episode too. I think during that time it was just a special episode, but now in this generation it's not seen as a episode with a good moral just P.C culture and it's not fun.

Omg lol why is that so accurate?
This is morbid. But the gist is so true.
To quote a Jeremy, "You might disagree with some of their stuff, but you gotta respect the hustle". Respect
Lmao
Haha yeah she incorporates it into her story pretty smart.
The only reason that the girls were mad about the kid name Noah dating the white girl is because the writers were sharing their own insecurities in the script. It has nothing to do with politics or regression.
6:03 the segue got me. you win. i watched the entire endorsement. good job.
The transition to the ad was smooth as hell
I worked with a black girl in the late 90’s, early 2000’s who I sat by. She constantly told me that I owed her. When I first asked her what I owed her she said because my great great grandpa had slaves! So how does that affect me? I didn’t do it, I have no clue if anyone in my family had slaves. I was so tired of hearing it all the time.
What happened back then was awful, no one should be treated that way but continuing to raise children to have hate about it it’s wrong. Enough is enough already.
Worse still if she said that and you're only third generation American. Its like "LOL my family weren't even in this country so I dont owe you shit."
@@TheOriginal_Unaleska 🤣
@@TheOriginal_Unaleska EXACTLY OH MY GOD. And to top it off, EVERY country had slaves. So it's not just white people's fault. Like, what about the Asians? Even Black people owned their own race. So literally race does not matter ONE SINGLE BIT.
It's really sad how our culture has regressed when it comes to discussing interracial dating. Me and my parents were always for it when I was younger, but now that race is politicized again, I'm having to consider whether or not this person of color I'm considering dating will hate me because of my race, or if his family will hate me because of my race. Even though interracial couples are being pushed so much in ads and Hollywood, they then turn around and show people hating on this one kid for dating someone else outside his race (because she's white). I wish we could go back to the times when your skin color did not matter. Culture, sure, maybe. But most of the time, we're all from the same country and are at least 3-5 generations in. Your skin color is not your personality or identity.
Exactly as someone who’s prefers other races than white, it makes the dating pool/relationships honestly terrifying.
From "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" in 1967 to you're an evil sellout for inviting "them" today. Job well done Hollywood.
All I would say is that if you want to date outside of your race, please respect that person’s culture. Respect their beliefs and their relationships. Often, people date interracially and then try to change everything about that person’s culture and identity or suppress them to eliminate the differences between them. If this is you, please just stick to dating your race. Not everything is about you and other cultures prioritize family and tradition which might seem outdated and even bothersome to some, but no one is forcing you to go there. Just stick to what you know and let people live in peace, please.
No, but race mixing a certain race out of existence is genocide.

@@snowwhite5887 I only made it about 4 or 5 episodes of Attack on Titan before dropping it because I found Eren to be absolutely insufferable
After all this time and different marriages it's totally possible that someone's ancestors could be slaves on one side and slave owners on the other. Plus not everyone who is black in America is descended from slaves, many blacks came to America AFTER slavery was abolished.
Imagine basing your entire life and personality on your ancestors that made people suffer and thinking that there should be nothing done for the communities that continues to suffer based on said ancestors that you benefit from. White people have extracted whatever they could from our black ancestors and even today; which is why they are against welfare and student loan forgiveness.
This is just all out lies. Slaves were illiterate and could not read nor write so it is therefore inconceivable that they were able to master trigonometry and engineering. Overall, slaves performed menial labor and in small numbers. Moreover, slaves never made up a majority of our skilled trades and engineering corps much less a majority of the entire American workforce in general. White men primarily (although not exclusively) built American industries, roadways, hospitals, universities, infrastructure, major cities, military and NASA - Not slaves, and not a black workforce. As another history nerd, I'm getting tired seeing these armchair historians acting like they know it all but can't even describe the history of South America in the 19th century
From studying history myself, I'd say AT LEAST 1/3 of what the media tells about the past is either misleading or straight up BS. Scary how many don't even question what these outlets show.
This proud family reboot isn't aimed at little kids anymore. It's for an older audience, since the characters are now 15 - 16 now. Plus, even in the original show it felt like it was for older kids
The first thing I said when I saw this is "Notice how every picture depicting what they complain about is pre 60's"
I grew up watching The Proud Family in the 2000's and can honestly say that it positively impacted my relationship with impactful social change and education at an early age. Important life lessons were addressed in an age appropriate manner back then, so when I heard about the reboot. . . I was possitivly apprehensive?
I just finished screening the first and second season of Louder and Prouder, last night, for my nieces. . . .and it's not passing check.
The "White chocolate" statement came from an episode where a new boy, who was black, was accused of choosing to date Zoe SOLELY based on her being white. Her friends had no proof of the accusation, but ostracized and mocked her anyways because they were jealous of her position and angry at the boy. In the end, it was reveled that the boy was prejudice but Zoe had to confront him directly, and Zoe told him that those views weren't something she was going to tolerate. Cherry on top, Zoe apologized to her friends at the episode for "just not getting it." SHE DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG! Infact, she exemplified loyal and caring qualities and worked to find the truth when faced with an accusation. . . But the episode wasn't framed that way. It was a punchdown to an integral part of the friend group based on the color of her skin and her friends failed her.
In the season two finale, we see that riot protest scene- which the next day, I am still uncomfortable seeing in children's shows.
The town is discovered to have developed on the land of an old plantation, who's owner and town founder, is revealed to be the ancestor of a member in the friend group. . . The episode tries to tackles big conversations on historical records, and image, and social stigma, and adoption, and social change, and protesting. . . And it is all too much, and misses the mark in so many ways. I'm not sure Disney will be ordering a third season, but as far as I'm concerned Louder and Prouder is not going to be on the television when my nieces are over.
Yup, they made the white girl apologize to the triggered offended black people.. 🤦♀️
I appreciate your due diligence for your nieces. It is just mind boggling that they would think those are lessons kids should learn. Just Awful.

Does your brain function correctly? The clip from the show was taken incredibly out of context as the entire message behind the scene was that interracial marriage is okay. If you actually looked into the media you consumed instead of taking everything at face value you would’ve realized that.
@@raspberrylemonade5336 lmao. Bruh what? @@__mindflayer__ The show isn’t saying that. It’s actively telling you that no other race is more attractive than the other. Even if you go off just the clip that was shown, you can see the main character disagreeing with what the girls are saying.

They aren’t “saying” that at all they are “complaining” in a negative situation with a negative attitude. I get what you’re trying to say but no, that’s not what the show is saying at all. The show is complaining about how men mostly date white girls.
No matter how hard you try to spin and coarse correct the things they’ve said you’re wrong. They didn’t “say” anything. They complained about slavery, white supremacy, non-biracial relationships and ect. They didn’t say anything at all. If they wanted to say something they should’ve make a full episode about each situation. But they didn’t. They made people feel guilty that they are dating a white person and not a person of minority decent. Stop trying to lie about what they said to make it look better. They said what they said.
Plus either way, why give a fuck about who you date on a kids show?
