Actually I haven't had any trouble at all. The feedback I get from neighbors is that they love it and think it is the coolest thing they have ever seen. There is always the occasional person who has no joy in their life and wants to cause harm to yours but thankfully I haven't run into any in this neighborhood. Flying the Flat Top & K2 is the funnest thing you will ever do. It is seriously darn awesome. Even after over 11,000 flights I still look forward to flying every day.
Nice one Dell! This is what living is all about! I'm off to Portugal soon to take this up. Lessons are booked. You just made me want it even more!! Keep safe dude!
An awesome master of the sport. I appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to my safety and yours, thank you for all you do for us and this sport. You are one of the most professional passionate pilots I have ever seen. The proof is in these vidoes!
And, to be clear here, I mean that this is actually a very good choice of tire. Since it can be so easily repaired and reused. (Besides its being more robust than you might initially give it credit, due to its soft appearance) Good work!
This is just outstanding! Remember that the pilot is really really experienced, and not that bothered if he breaks a few grand worth of equipment on a missed touchdown. He does this for a living and builds and breaks and repairs paramotors all the time :D I think that when this sport on in the general public all those who are bound to a weelchair will be enthusiastic paragliders... that totally looks like a small wheelchair whooping around ;)
+Marc Müller No problem, thank you for the nice feedback. It really is the most incredible thing you will ever do. The latest version of the Flat Top Ninja paramotor is only 54 lbs and it will carry over 600 lbs. The Air trike that attaches to it is only 26 lbs!! So the dry weight of this whole aircraft is only 80 lbs. Pretty incredible. I set the world distance record on limited fuel at 280 miles on less then 4 gallons of gas. I recently set the paramotor trike altitude record at 16,145 ft but it will go much much higher then that as it was still climbing very quickly even at that altitude. I set the world speed record at 51mph. So it is truly and incredibly capable little aircraft. Just come do the SUPER training class which is a 10 day adventure vacation with lodging and use of gear all included for only $2500!! Then you can get the best foot launch gear in the world for only about $12,000 or the trike setup which is both foot launch and trike for $14,500. That again is the best gear in the world which is the Flat Top Ninja paramotor, Dominator paraglider and super rescue reserve parachute that's included in the $12,000 quote. We also have used gear for less then $5000 if anyone needs to keep the price down. Just give me a call at 800-707-2525 and let's go flying!!! You might as well sell all your other toys as you won't use them any more when you get flying like this.
Just to let ppl understand... Not every pilot can fly this machine this way.. That pilot is flying this machine as if he was a part of it. Simply amazing
Ok if price were no object right now the ultimate gear to get for you would be a Flat Top Ninja, K2 paraglider and Super Mini Reserve. That's what I personally fly as well and that's what I put my family members on. I just flew last night with my brother and his 2 sons. We all flew K2s & Flat Tops. They freaking rock!
Have any of you seen Dell without a helmut ? He doesn't have hair....he has feathers. This man was born to fly. A good pilot could practice for 50 years and never come close to Dells flying skills.
Yes and the new 2019 Air Trike is even more agile and with less drag because of the new wheels and much stiffer suspension. This is the older Air Trike in this video. The Air Trike is seriously cool. Plus you can switch back and forth to foot launching in only a minute or so.
You can easily take both hands off the controls and fly by just leaning. Yes it is perfect for Search & Rescue as you can fit it in the trunk of your car and launch pretty much anywhere in less than 1 minute.
This is very great, Superdell! By the way, someone I know has a simple and effective means for repairing that sort of tire should it become punctured by debris. Round here, freshly cut corn stalks have been known to puncture a tire or two like that (although actually fairly rare - as these are well-established tires to be sure) anyway, the method includes simply heating the hole and sealing it shut. Repairs like new! His name: JD in Nebraska. (If you didn't already know this method)
Just purchased and assembled my Air Trike last night. Truly a fine piece of work, but I'm a bit confused on how to properly hang the Luggage Bag to keep it clear of some bolts. Maybe the way I have it is OK, I'll post my assembly video and hope to fly it tomorrow, winds in Houston are 15 gusting to 20 darn the luck.
I don't think you can really mess it up too bad. The back posts stick right up onto the frame and the velcros come back around that bottom post and then attach to the top one. Then just velcro up the front and you are set. That is some seriously strong velcro. I've put way over 100 lbs in mine no problem at all. Send me your video though and I can double check you have it on correctly fine sir. Booyaaa!! Let's go flying!!!
So it really doesn't matter if the prop sticks out a bit for the lines. The key is just good training so you don't drop the glider on top of yourself. The Flat Top design is the very best on the market by a huge margin. There really isn't anything else out there worth considering right now. If you don't get a Flat Top, don't get into the sport. Zero people have ever died on Flat Top paramotors to date. Its the best and safest units on the market.
I first thought about the Rollei Bullet HD. The camera seems to be a bit smaller though it is longer. But i like the movies your cam makes, so i have no good recommendation for a smaller camera with such a quality, sorry.
We are in Utah in the USA. We are the global distributors so yes we ship all over the world no problem. For training just come to our national training center and have the adventure vacation of a life time. The whole 10 day vacation trip is only $2500 and that includes lodging and use of equipment and even insurance on the equipment. So all you do is show up and we take care of everything from there other than food. You can even bring the gear back home with you on your flight back.
temperatures decrease on average 3.0 degrees per thousand feet of altitude.. that decrease in temperature varies depending on what's known as "dry" or "moist adiabatic lapse rate." just to keep things simple, all you need to know is that it does get colder, the higher your go.
@imasuper0308 Makes sense when you put it that way. I think I've looked at everyone of your vids and clearly you know what you're doing. I WILL be do this in the future even if I have to get it piece by piece! You ever train around South Ga./North Fl.? I'm in Ga. right on the Ga./Fl. line. Oh and thanks for all these great videos, they are education but mostly fun to watch!
Dell you got me worried now....where and what do you recommend?? This time of year the weather in UK is bad for training. HEEEEEEELP!!! I've already booked it all so going to cancel and re-book something else.
Not sure of any instructors in that area. I would be super careful as most instructors barely know how to fly themselves let alone how to teach it properly. I would highly recommend just going to the USA WPPGA National Training Center. That is for sure the best way to get training.
I post pretty much all my crash videos. I just don't do it very often. Look back through my videos though and you can find them. Getting the right equipment is life & death important. I have over 11,000 flights now without injury and I can say without a doubt I would have died many times if it were not for my trusty Flat Top & K2 paraglider.
nice skills, i dont know nothing about paracliding but i guess you could add servo controlled steering so one joystick could do the job ?? just wondering ;)
Yes for sure. We have all sorts of deals on both new & used gear. Give me a call at 800-707-2525 and I'm sure we can find something in your price range.
What's the difference in price between this and the S-Trike? Also...does it handle better or worse than the S-Trike ? You make them both look easy so please give me a fair comparrison. Thanks Del.
This was just the very first prototype. The production model sits much higher and has taller and more responsive wheels. So no problem launching in fields or tops of mountains like you see in my videos. Call me if you have any questions: 800-707-2525 Also realize the fuel tank is directly behind the front wheel. So 6 inches of clearance is more than plenty. Imagine taking a 6-inch rock straight down the front wheel. Not a good idea reguardless of where the fuel tank is.
@@landonfbi4352 Actually no he didn't because he was on total death trap gear and without the slightest ability to properly control it as he had no proper training. So he was so scared he didn't even go near Everest let alone land on top. Only a real actual pilot on real gear could do that. Did you see the video where they tried to murder Bear Grills by putting him on the absolute worst and most deadly gear in all of history?? He took a collapse that took thousands of feet to recover and literally only recovered about 40 ft from the ground. A quality glider like the Dominator would recover from the exact same collapse in about 2-4 FEET of altitude. Not hundreds of feet, not thousands just a few feet. It's pretty sick that they tried to murder Bear Grills like that. Those at parajet and paramania are freaking evil. I almost died just doing a basic safety tests on a paramania wing and they threatened to have me killed if I didn't remove my post about the facts. Pretty messed up.
Yes I was responding to that as well. Silly people. If they watched my videos they would easily find my oopsies lol. They are great learning experiences for us all so of course I post them:).
Thank you fine sir. I appreciate you taking the time to leave the nice feedback. It has been a lot of hard work training a dozen new pilots a month and helping everyone get up to speed the right way. It is really nice to hear the appreciation. Thanks back at ya. Dell
+Loren K Yes flying to work is truly no problem. Plus straight line without congestion or traffic can save people hours off their day from what they currently go through. Since we can take off and land almost anywhere in a very small space it's truly incredible what we can really do. You have to get the right gear and training though so anyone getting into the sport seriously needs to call me directly so I can help them do it the right way. 800-707-2525. There is a lot of crap out there and seriously dishonest people so the key to cutting through the crap is to just look at skill levels. If you search youtube for "world's best paramotor pilot" you will find a whole list of videos of me doing things nobody else on earth can do. if you search "world's best paramotor training" literally every video for about the first 17 pages of videos is of my SUPER training. Others are scared to show you what their training really looks like. So whole this sport is absolutely incredible it's only IF you get the very best gear and training. So give me a call and do it the right way. 800-707-2525 Dell
or flying from say, delta to Vancouver island. A one way ferry trip takes three hours and cost 70 each way. How fast to one of these para-motors fly at?
+Loren K These top out at 51mph and by being able to fly straight line with no interruptions it really makes point to point trips faster then people might think. Like people commuting in California that take hours to drive only 20-40 miles when you could fly there in less then half the time. It is truly the most incredible thing you will ever do on top of being remarkably practical.
What would be REALLY cool is a vehicle that is part motorcycle part paramotor. Then once you land, pack up the parachute and off you go to your final destination. We have para gliders that take off from a ultra light strip about a 1k from my house and see them fly in front of my place often.
+Loren K Actually what's really cool is exactly what you see. It's better to learn from the best in the world exactly the way that has been perfected before you go trying to redevelop everything before even trying the current best. Trying to do a motorcycle just wouldn't work. Adding weight to an aircraft really messes everything up and changes everything. This video is of the most experienced pilot in the world flying the most perfected gear in the world that has come from the most experience in the history of the sport. So start with the very best first and get at least 5000 flights before you go thinking you can make things "better". Far too many people mess themselves all up trying to change things or think they can make "upgrades" before they ever even learn how to walk first. Light weight is critical. The Air Trike is only 26 lbs and the Flat Top Ninja is only 54 lbs dry with 200 lbs of thrust at peak. It's the most incredible setup in the history of the sport. Absolutely amazing.
Both are nice and you can switch back & forth quickly with the Flat Top & Air Trike. If you want to fly long distance and carry extra fuel & gear it's nice to have the trike so you don't have to actually carry the extra weight. If you want to land on a mountain side though then foot launching is the way to go. Or perhaps you get no wind and live at higher altitudes then sometimes it's nice to launch the trike so you don't have to run at all. Or if you hurt your let or back or something and don't want to use any physical ability to fly. So lots of uses for both and many reasons to do both. That's part of the awesome versatility with this setup as you can do either and or even fly without the motor at all and just go paragliding with the Dominator. So you really have 3 different aircraft in one making it very very useful. Just call 800-707-2525
Yes it is legal as long as you don't create a hazard for anyone. So you probably wouldn't have any issues in an unfinished subdivision like this that nobody drives through.
Yes 265 or even 365 is no problem. The Air Trike is really the way to go because it is the lightest it allows for the best possible climb rate and the most load carrying capability. So the heavier trike which is 60 lbs heavier would not be the best way to go just simply because of the added 60 lbs. The less weight the better when you are carrying more load. So with the Air Trike and a 265 lb pilot it would be pretty much the same weight as the S-Trike with a 200 lb pilot.
+mike wilson The very best gear like in this video is only about $14,500. Or we have cheaper gear down below $5000 for a wing and a motor. So tons of different options both new & used. It really is the most incredible thing you will ever do. Just give me a call at 800-707-2525 and I can help you with all the details. I would warn everyone severely though that they do not want to get just any old gear in this sport. The gear I'm flying is the safest gear in the history of the sport. ZERO people have ever died on Flat Top paramotors. Compare that to 19 dead just last year alone and even 6 more dead in the last matter of weeks on other gear. Paratoys got 2 more people killed just in the last month on blackhawks because of how terrible their gear is and how horrible their version of "instruction" is. So it's life & death critical in this sport to make sure you are talking to someone that really knows what the heck they are talking about and has the skills to back it up. So when you see how incredible the sport is from my videos don't make the deadly mistake of thinking you can learn to do this just anywhere and that any old gear will work. It won't. Call me directly and it will be the most incredible thing you ever do.
Yes there are quite a few out there talking trash. What lie? Yes there are those that yell liar liar but can they name even one single lie? It makes it so easy to see who is telling the truth when you ask what and why and learn both sides of the story. If you listen to those talking trash and let those guys control your life then you are putting yourself at huge risk. Take a look at the skill level of those arguing with me. It doesn't take much logic to see who is right and who isn't.
Give me a call at 800-707-2525 and I'll be happy to talk to you about all the specific details of what's what. The simple answer is it's best to first learn to foot launch and then move to the trike once you have some experience and skills. Really it's all about glider control as that is what you are actually flying. So SUPER training is a must as it's the only school truly teaching real glider control. Give me a call and I"ll be happy to help you.
Yes but electric is NOT the way to go which is why you don't see any real pilots flying them. You definitely want a Flat Top 200R with a gas motor. I set the world distance record on limited fuel at 280 miles on just 3.5 gallons. Electric just doesn't have squat for range when you have to carry your own weight. Even with 55 lbs of batteries it's just not worth it. Rolling a bike or scooter takes very little energy compared to flying. So no don't even think about electric. Yes we have it available but you don't see me flying it for a reason.
No there are many many different engines and then many configurations of each engine. So lots of variables. Getting the very best engine like on the Flat Top makes a huge gigantic difference. I've set piles of world records with the Flat Top because of how powerful it is but still the lightest in it's class. Plus it's the most reliable. The lighter weight and extra power really makes it a lot easier to launch and you can get off the ground in a much shorter distance. Just try to find any other unit that can launch this fast like that at high altitude in minimal wind.
It's the prop that really makes the noise. Even our all electric unit has just about the same noise level. The new motor is a more comfortable sound but also keep in mind this is full throttle on launch and such. From about 600 ft away you can't even hear i. Plus in straight and level flight it's pretty quiet. The Flat Top paramotor is the quietest unit on the market because of all the work that goes into having the very best prop, exhaust, air intake silencer and lightest weight as well as we use the most efficient wings which require the least amount of power to stay up and at speed. Just call 800-707-2525 if you want to get into more details about how it all works.
A trike is much much more stable then a quad. You simply don't do a 4 wheel setup with an aircraft as they become unstable and want to tumble. Just look up the video S-Trike vs quad. Where the Air Trike or S-Trike want to track with the glider a quad does the opposite and is trying to flip you over the whole time and you constantly have to work against its natural tendency. With our trikes and the caster to the front wheel if the glider goes right the trike wants to turn right. Much better.
Actually I haven't had any trouble at all. The feedback I get from neighbors is that they love it and think it is the coolest thing they have ever seen. Arn't the flat top cages dangerous as they don't go back enough thus catch line of wing?
hi Dell, what size K2 you using in this video, thxs.
How durable is the frame? My house has no pavement to it and is a 4wd access only. Would love to use one of these to get to town.
Thank you fine sir. I appreciate you taking the time to leave the nice feedback. It has been a lot of hard work training a dozen new pilots a month and helping everyone get up to speed the right way. It is really nice to hear the appreciation. Thanks back at ya. Dell
Pretty cool. 4 stroke would be nice.
Do your arms get tired from paramotoring?
I can see driving over traffic congestion with that into a park..next to your work :)
Do your arms get tired paragliding?
is the trike as stable as a quad undercarriage?
Question: would it get cold up there?
Want one please Dell !
Conceivably this could be called a foot launched with a couple of wheels on, this is an important distinction in the uk.
good one
Thanks for your reaction ! That´s not so expensive. Are you living in the USA ? Because I my self live in The Netherlands.
whats a price range for one of these bad larrys?
Great. Great, super fine, superman, amazing performance. But not for all. Such danger performance is not advisable for normal para gliders.
When and where would you use a trike instead of foot launching?
Like a boss.
People keep on trying to invent the flying car and well this it, put a steering column on the front wheel a chain drive to the rear axle. Flying car.
Also, I need to know how much you weigh. Can that same unit carry me at 265#?
EASY!! TAKE ALOOK AT THE BIGGER TRIKE SAME MOTOR WELL LET THE TAPE SPEAK FOR IT? ua-cam.com/video/VLio51onsC0/v-deo.html
So with the Air Trike and a 265 lb pilot it would be pretty much the same weight as the S-Trike with a 200 lb pilot.
very awesome , how much it would coast me to buy one like yours???
Amazing!!!!
Tem pessoas corajosas no mundo!!!
It doesn't take much logic to see who is right and who isn't.
fantasize about these things during rush hour.....
Skillz!
What are the weight specs on this? I'm a big guy lol 240-250 pounds but would eventually like to get into something like this. (paragliding)
Can someone please tell me what happens when these things stall, are they recoverable from a stall?
curious I'm going to do this type or the paramotor ..help me decide ..I'm 65 , 220 in good shape
Do you do an electric trike paramotor?
Yes but electric is NOT the way to go which is why you don't see any real pilots flying them. You definitely want a Flat Top 200R with a gas motor. I set the world distance record on limited fuel at 280 miles on just 3.5 gallons. Electric just doesn't have squat for range when you have to carry your own weight. Even with 55 lbs of batteries it's just not worth it. Rolling a bike or scooter takes very little energy compared to flying. So no don't even think about electric. Yes we have it available but you don't see me flying it for a reason.
are most paragliders engines the same? I ask cause they seem to be same looking all the way from size to exhaust? What brand is your flat top engine?
No there are many many different engines and then many configurations of each engine. So lots of variables. Getting the very best engine like on the Flat Top makes a huge gigantic difference. I've set piles of world records with the Flat Top because of how powerful it is but still the lightest in it's class. Plus it's the most reliable. The lighter weight and extra power really makes it a lot easier to launch and you can get off the ground in a much shorter distance. Just try to find any other unit that can launch this fast like that at high altitude in minimal wind.
Is there a really quiet engine, or even an electric?
It's the prop that really makes the noise. Even our all electric unit has just about the same noise level. The new motor is a more comfortable sound but also keep in mind this is full throttle on launch and such. From about 600 ft away you can't even hear i. Plus in straight and level flight it's pretty quiet. The Flat Top paramotor is the quietest unit on the market because of all the work that goes into having the very best prop, exhaust, air intake silencer and lightest weight as well as we use the most efficient wings which require the least amount of power to stay up and at speed. Just call 800-707-2525 if you want to get into more details about how it all works.
cold be used to trabel acros mountains?
where are you located?? USA? im worried about shipping and training.
