I fucking love this song! It takes me back to 1996 and I was 18 and was working with my dad and we'd be sitting in the car during lunch and this song would usually be playing on the radio. I was an angst filled teenager, but man I long for those days and simpler times and most importantly, I long to have those moments again with my father who is no longer with me.
Failure are a grossly underrated band. Great band that spawned a lot of imitators. I had the good fortune to see them many times and hang with Kelli and Troy.
Dear Game Grump fans: If you enjoyed this song, be sure to listen to this whole album. You'll fucking love it!! I LOVE THIS BAND!! And I can't believe Dan fucking name-dropped them on the show. It's so fucking cool. If you really like Fantastic Planet and you just can't get enough be sure to check out the band Hum (their album You'd Prefer an Astronaut) and Houston (Bottom of the Curve), the best alt-rock has to offer!!!
Fanchus yeah, there's no denting the musicianship on ITCOTCK is better, but honestly E&I is my favorite album of all time. Both are in my top 10, though.
I saw this video on 120 minutes on MTV back when they played music videos and it brought me to Failure... I really miss this era and I really love this band.
Yes, what a shame that video uploaded in 2006 and probably filmed years before that is poor quality. Deal with it, or find a lyrics video. Or just do other stuff while the music plays in the back ground.
I've been turned on to these guys by my new best friend and I can't believe I haven't heard them before, as their albums 'Fantastic Planet' and 'Magnified' are blimmin awesome
this is the best video for any song ever. And thank you paramore for bringing people to failure. Just accept failure who wrote this song and the nurse who loved me, that their versions are best cuz they really are.
put aside the Paramore debate for a minute and mention the fact that this is an extremely well done video in homage to the James Bond intro... class act
Man this is killer. Where has Failure been all my life, new inspiration from a great band. If people are covering this I completely understand, just a killer song, makes others in his time sounds obsolete.
I hope all the Failure guys were paid well for the cover. In fact I would love to see people buy that album in its entirety. It is Ken's and bands masterpiece and SOY, is not even the best song IMHO. This song was the closest they ever came to trying to write a “hit”. If YT allowed more than 500 words at a time I might go on all day about every song they put out. People who know their music understand how influential they were to so many other musicians. Thank you for you great post!
Good Memories to this song...I still play this on guitar sometimes. I saw these cats at the casbah in san diego in 96-97 and this song got radio time right after. I believe that the singer or some other member of this band or maybe the producer went on to do Year of the Rabbit, if you like this sound check them out, similar guitar textures. God I loved this song, ironic how it stuck in my head for so many years given the lyrics. :) Great LA Band, I wish they had lasted longer
Listen guys, when a band covers another band its not meant to be an insult, it is in fact honoring them (unless its Pat Boone doing Enter Sandman or something, he should be shot for that!) I for one, am glad to see bands doing covers of Failure. At last they are finally getting some of the respect they deserved, too bad it came so many years after Failure broke up. And if someone discovers this crimanlly overlooked band b/c they heard one of their favorite bands cover them, I'm all for it!
so game grumps is just constantly making me pause their videos just to look up some random music video am I the only one who has to do this like some kind of curse?
My God, I've been looking for this song for years, no joke, I had been wondering who managed to write such an awesome song, and then disappear off the face of this earth. I'm glad I rediscovered this quite by accident. BTW, this is by far the better version, how on earth can someone say that Paramore's version is better? It's not even in the same scale, and to me, it just doesn't sound that good. Thanks to the person who posted this vid. :)
Haha no one talks about the video itself! Bands just shouldn't do covers of bands they love, it brings out the worst of their fans! This is not a competition guys, no real reason to tear either bands version apart! I'm just glad to see a band paying homage to Failure, wish I could hear it more often!
The fact that A Perfect Circle...and I didn't even know Paramore covered this song shows that Failure are an underrated band hat deserves much credit because of their great songwriting and catchy melodies. Fantastic Planet and Magnified should be renowned albums if you like great songs.
oh my gah. Paramore's cover is my favorite song of theirs but the original is on a whole different level. this is amazing!!! I just fell in love all over again
This song was the pinnacle of a bad breakup I had back in the 90s. I have always been into Slow Core or Shoe Gaze among other genres, but Failure was more of a unique type of sound all in itself. This song sticks with you when you listen to it. I'll have this song in my head for at least 2 days now.
oh my god i completely forgot about this song i haven't heard it in 10 years! i used to watch this on mtv when they played videos instead of the crap they got now. this song is still awesome
Myles Kennedy said that this Band, Failure, was one of the inspiration for Alter Bridge's new song called "Lover". Never know this band, so i searched it and now i kinda love it.
I'm a hip hop head and I thought smashing pumpkin was my fav band I'm going to have say these guys after randomly stumbling on them on UA-cam trying to find the fantastic planet movie!
It did get played for a brief while on WAAF in Boston, around where I reside. That was how I discovered this song, and I had the keyboard riff stuck in my head for years, trying to figure out what the hell the name of the song was, finally found it again after all this time.
I can't remember when or where I heard this song, but the following weekend, I went to Best Buy and bought the album. It had just been released. they remind me of Mansun -- one of those interesting acts that somehow slipped through the cracks of fame.
yeah, Troy played with APC and now Queens of the Stone Age. Every time I heard Fantastic Planet, and especially this song, I am amazed at how Failure never got mainstream success. I guess it is all timing and marketing. Great band.
That song changed lot's of things in my life , back then I was going through a breakup and starting my own band, then that song came out! OUT FUCKING STANDING!!!!!! those guys inspired lot's of bands out there!!!!
A totally underrated band. Much like Quicksand, Failure were too ahead of their time for the masses to understand. It's a shame these guys didn't get the success that they truly deserved!
recorded this in a cassette tape before, I only got the chorus in the last part. After so many years, here it is and wtf failure was the band who made this, I only heard enjoy the silence from them. AMazing band. too bad they're gone just like the 90's, best years of my life with the best songs ever made.
All us old fart music snobs should take note of this. When I first heard Paramore's version of this, I was pleasantly surprised because it was a good cover. Also cuz I hadn't heard the song in years. We should be thanking Paramore for introducing Failure and bands like them(Hum, SDRE, etc...) to a whole new generation of music fans.
Failure and Paramore are both brilliant bands. I'm glad they did a cover because now i can listen to my favourite song twice. (You know what i mean by that so dont bother correcting me haha). I would say that Failure's version is quite smooth and relaxing where as Paramore's version is heavier and lively. I love both and thats my opinion XD ;P
Such a great song but the video makes it kick that much harder. I bought the Fantastic Planet CD back in 1996 soley on the strength of this track. Good stuff.
anybody else get a James Bond intro feel to this vid? i kno i did the first time i saw this bacc in fall 1997! ahhh, memories. Failure FUCCIN ROCKS!!!!
Great song, very unique sound. _stuck on you - 'til the end of time_ _I'm too tired to fight your rhyme_ _stuck on you - 'til the end of time_ _you've got me paralyzed_
Great.
I was the same age at the time and loooved this!
I was 15 by that time same as you remember my late dad listening to this song.
Failure are a grossly underrated band. Great band that spawned a lot of imitators. I had the good fortune to see them many times and hang with Kelli and Troy.
Fantastic Planet is, in my opinion, perfection from start to finish. So amazing.
A true masterpiece, one of the few albums where I never need to skip a track
Still one of the best songs I've ever heard. So glad Failure is back together again. #music
+Bonnie Burton Love song... It's about heroine.
#music
Dang, Paramore did a great cover of this song. They didn't change the way it flows like most bands do when they cover a song.
Yuck
Love this song. "Fantastic Planet" one of the greatest albums ever written. Truly a crime this band wasnt huge. Much Thanx for posting this video
This tune stuck to memory so here I am years later listening to this timeless melody
again. Good 007 mock video!
Thank you. FAILURE rules. One of the most underrated talented bands ever!!!
Fanchus +1.
Ken Andrews is God.
Failure
On
Year of the Rabbit
Ken Andrews
***** I agree with you, Jesus Christ.
Fanchus yo man, Emergency & I is the greatest album ever made.
Kin Cruz It's funny because I think In the Court of the Crimson King is better, its musicianship can't even be compared with E&I.
Fanchus yeah, there's no denting the musicianship on ITCOTCK is better, but honestly E&I is my favorite album of all time. Both are in my top 10, though.
failure and hum should tour
Would be really cool. Hum is a perfect band too. I like it
momentomori93 It's actually happening now. Are you psychic?
I saw this video on 120 minutes on MTV back when they played music videos and it brought me to Failure... I really miss this era and I really love this band.
My God! The 90's how great was that decade? An amazing song with incredible production, stuff like this will never be repeated.
I have more fingers than this video has pixels
Yes, what a shame that video uploaded in 2006 and probably filmed years before that is poor quality. Deal with it, or find a lyrics video. Or just do other stuff while the music plays in the back ground.
lol yep! but great jam
I brought myself here.
Rick Beato brought me here
One of the best songs AND videos ever. Such an underrated band, but legends in my world.
"If you have a different interpretation that's near and dear to your heart, for godsakes keep it." - Matt Talbott
These guys should have been so big! Whenever I am depressed I play the whole cd, I never tire of the "meladrones" and "insipid rhymes"
Masterpiece. I heard this song years ago on the radio and it still never gets old.
you know what's cool.
Good band music will never die.
As long as you remember.
This is one of the most influential bands ever listened to, they've influenced me in the style I played in guitar.
I've been turned on to these guys by my new best friend and I can't believe I haven't heard them before, as their albums 'Fantastic Planet' and 'Magnified' are blimmin awesome
Even many years later, this song never gets old. One of my all time favorites, despite the fact I can't relate to it what so ever.
God, considering the tiny budget these guys probably had, this is SUCH a well done video! ..And song. A lot of heart. Failure ROCKS!
Takes me back to the 90's with this sound....
I feel like if Kurt Cobain came back to life and joined forces with Radiohead, this would be the result.
nice nutshell
this is the best video for any song ever. And thank you paramore for bringing people to failure. Just accept failure who wrote this song and the nurse who loved me, that their versions are best cuz they really are.
put aside the Paramore debate for a minute and mention the fact that this is an extremely well done video in homage to the James Bond intro... class act
an amazing song. fantastic planet is one of my favorite albums of all time.
That absolutely perfect bass sound.
Man this is killer. Where has Failure been all my life, new inspiration from a great band. If people are covering this I completely understand, just a killer song, makes others in his time sounds obsolete.

One of the greatest songs of all time, hands down.
I have been looking for this song for so long. Thank you!
This is a very moving song to me. Really reminds me of high school. Who'd of thought i'd thank mtv for turning me on to such an awesome band.
Listen guys, when a band covers another band its not meant to be an insult, it is in fact honoring them (unless its Pat Boone doing Enter Sandman or something, he should be shot for that!) And if someone discovers this crimanlly overlooked band b/c they heard one of their favorite bands cover them, I'm all for it!
This is the weirdest james bond intro song ever.
I Love how often I have to keep leaving Grump Episodes to go listen to songs that they love.
so game grumps is just constantly making me pause their videos just to look up some random music video
am I the only one who has to do this like some kind of curse?
omegahippe Thats literally what I just did lmao
glad to see I'm not alone
omegahippe Hey I just did that too haha i was only a few minutes into the Game Grumps episode
omegahippe Every single time haha, always check the comments to see if there's anyone else, got me into some good music though tbh
Same here
They're getting back together!!!!!
Failure was awesome! This is the best video ever!
My God, I've been looking for this song for years, no joke, I had been wondering who managed to write such an awesome song, and then disappear off the face of this earth. I'm glad I rediscovered this quite by accident.

So underestimated :( I miss Failure a lot! Thanx for the vid.
This song is so powerful....Love it.
I only heard this song recently on 1FM (Internet radio) & I must say it's aged very well for a song from 1996! It's awesome.
failure....awesome. "Stuck On You" one of their best works.
I didn't even know this song had a video. always have loved this!
Here because Spotify suggested this song based on what I listen to. Love it!
Haha no one talks about the video itself!
Bands just shouldn't do covers of bands they love, it brings out the worst of their fans! This is not a competition guys, no real reason to tear either bands version apart! I'm just glad to see a band paying homage to Failure, wish I could hear it more often!

oh my gah. Paramore's cover is my favorite song of theirs but the original is on a whole different level. this is amazing!!! I just fell in love all over again
Now you are making me feel old hehe. Miss those days as well
Distinct sound! Gotta like it.ROCK ON!
Whoa this is a cool music video. Love the song
probably one of the best things i have ever read on youtube. thanks.
Damn just a hell of a good rock song in the key of FAILURE!
Helllllll Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ! Today in Vancouver was amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this band, than´s for uploading the video ^^
oh my god i completely forgot about this song i haven't heard it in 10 years! i used to watch this on mtv when they played videos instead of the crap they got now. this song is still awesome
Yeah I totally agree also.Every song on Fantastic Planet is awesome,as are all the songs on HUM's records.I miss 'em big time.
1997 Brought me here. Still favorite song ever.
Man this takes me right back to high school.
One of the best bands ever to come out of LA.
the best of the best. ridiculous. SO glad we're all lucky enough to get a second taste. An absolutely unbelievable band.
god how old am I; I remember when they opened for tool!!! I miss them days you young whipper-snappers!
the 90's. damn
This song sounds SO BIG. Very well recorded. VERY SONIC.
One of the most underrated bands of all time...to me, Fantastic Planet is the closest that I've found to a perfect album..
yes! I've been hunting for this video forever!
Myles Kennedy said that this Band, Failure, was one of the inspiration for Alter Bridge's new song called "Lover". Never know this band, so i searched it and now i kinda love it.
Who else gets nostalgia every time they hear this?
They're back!
such a great album, such a terrific song

A better quality version is on Ken Andrew's Vimeo page: vimeo.com/39905382
I didnt even know Paramore covered this. Failure fan for life
Excellent! HD version would be... good. 2014! They're back!!!
Seriously?
This one flew under the radar a bit back in the day, but I love it
I can't remember when or where I heard this song, but the following weekend, I went to Best Buy and bought the album. It had just been released. they remind me of Mansun -- one of those interesting acts that somehow slipped through the cracks of fame.

What a cool song. So much emotion - how could anyone dare to cover this??
One of the best songs ever made.. I'm stuck on this song..

Great choice of music and politicians!
Never heard this song before, it rocks. Sucks Failure didn't get more radio play in the 90s

a great 90s video
i love this song and the james bond type vid kicks ass
great song by a very under-rated band.
Great song, very unique sound.
_stuck on you - 'til the end of time_
_I'm too tired to fight your rhyme_
_stuck on you - 'til the end of time_
_you've got me paralyzed_
this band is fantastic. They wrote real music. so versatile. i stuck on them lol
