I'm not here to tell ya what to do Chris, but you should def listen maybe one or two more times, and try to really feel it. It's short and sweet imo. With Pusha, I had to listen to it like 3 times before I really got down with it. At least check out some of the songs again sometime. He's just vry open with himself and his fans on this album, which I know some people don't like
Nick Luciano lyrically (despite it not blowing me away) isn't really the problem. It's sonically. Pusha T's Daytona was a classic to me from the start - no relistens necessary (and yes I know Kanye produced Daytona). On YE, parts of Wouldn't Leave and Ghost Town caught my ear - I want to hear those songs again - but overall, I couldn't vibe with it. And part of it has to do with the fact that I dislike Kanye's voice more and more - there's tracks on here that I liked up until he came in. Pablo was the same way for me. Believe me, I listen to a super wide variety of music. This isn't an issue of me not having ears open enough to digest something "different." Kanye might be one of the few artists in hiphop experimenting with unique sounds but there's tons more outside of hiphop that are doing so successfully. I'm not saying Kanye isn't talented, I'm just saying that it takes more than some pitch bending and distortion to impress me sonically, and I don't care for Kanye the person well enough to want to get to know him better via his introspection.
Theodore Pendergrass I always find it funny when someone posts their opinion about something in this way. It's like... congrats, you shared your opinion. What of it? lol. To each its own
Absolutely great album. He really owns his contradictions and his issues. He is imperfect, confused and still wants to live his best life - that's why I rock with him.
It ain't bad. Seriously, very interesting album. Makes you pay attention, production and lyrics. Very short album, but It seems like he took it waaaaay more serious then TLOP. The album as a whole dives deep into the emotions that Wyoming brought out of him. A lot of introspective thinking. Ain't bad at all.
Anne Whitehurst Wyoming is a state in the mountain region of the western United States. The state is the 10th largest by area, the least populous and the second least densely populated state in the country. Wyoming is bordered on the north by Montana, on the east by South Dakota and Nebraska, on the south by Colorado, on the southwest by Utah, and on the west by Idaho.
Anne Whitehurst LOL. I know you're being sarcastic. But if you put yourself in Kanye's shoes and what he's been through the past year... MENTALLY... the ups and downs... the landscape of Wyoming 100% could bring out emotions that he kept to himself it seems for so long. Seems like he just got away from everything and opened up. I like this Kanye, not self absorbed, but open. I know I may be taking it to seriously, but that's what I seriously got out of this album. Lol
I love it too man. Wouldn’t leave is such a heartfelt ye song. I felt like violent crimes kinda lost its emotional feel when ye revealed that he jus got the whole song from pardison. Still an amazing album tho.
My friend said this album incorporates all of kanye. From all of his past albums you can hear a little bit of one of his albums in each song. Also each song is a progression through his being bipolar and him coming to terms with it and eventually conquering it.
People keep insulting Kanye on spending $0 onthe album but do you not see that Kanye spent $85k on his best friends album instead of his own? He wanted his best friends album to succeed so much he paid $85k and was willing to take the heat and controversy.

Ghost town and Violent crimes were definitely my favorite, idk the melody alongside his words just really painted such a deeply profound and real picture to me. Very few songs made me feel how I felt while listening to those tracks. It’s weird to fully explain but this is what music is supposed to be.

i think this is honestly one of the greatest kanye albums EVER. he not only proved why he is considered and icon/genius. he created so many different scenarios and gave soooooo much food for thought which is what music and art should be

Curtis Blyden your an idiot, he never looked down on his people, he said slavery was a choice but what he meant was people sheltered in never thought outside the box that’s what he’s saying. Harriet Tubman thought slavery was a choice that’s why she did what she did, you have no idea what you talkin bout
Curtis Blyden you still dumb asl 😭😭😭 when has he ever said some disrespectful shit to black people, that slavery comment was right if people never thought slavery was a choice back then, then slavery would still exist, you a fuckin sheep 🐑😭😭👎
I think his scattered thoughts made a beautiful energy. In my life recently I've come to the conclusion where I don't believe in good or bad energy. But him being honest and giving his truth in this album will help a lot of people dealing with stuff in their minds, and that's the most beautiful part for me. If you have a mental illness or you're over all just dealing with something, you are not sicker than a normal person, you've just being categorized to something, and that should not stop you from doing stuff. Get purely out of your mind and give your truth to the world cause it's beautiful.
I saw a thing on reddit where someone said that Yeezus reflects his egotistical/god-like perspective of himself and this reflects his more humble, insecure human like side
Seriously how smart is this guy? Every video I watch of his, he blows my mind with completely different aspects and views on things that I didn’t even realize.
Is it me or has ye aged really well.
Richard R Smith it has. Somehow it’s more enjoyable now than when it came out. I liked it then but like it even more now

I loved this album on release, and I think it’s gotten worse actually tbh
Fun fact: Nicki did the intro on mbdtf and now the outro on YE. It is the end of Kanye's dark fantasy.
Jérémy Verkercke
It's not a fantasy it's reality
The things he was rapping about on MBDTF was a reflection of his life at the time after all the public outrage at him
Controversy
The Taylor stuff
808s was considered whack by hip hop fans
And the world has written him off
The harsh reality of fame
Yezzus would be the reaction
Kanye is random and unpredictable but angry at the world and the industry for they're treating Kanye even though he's reached the level he's so he goes nuts
Yeezus was a very racial album
The life of Pablo is a concept album and I don't really know how it fits into everything but I do know I love it
Ye is the aftermath of MBDTF and yeezus
After all the backlash and all the downsides of fame and after all the anger comes depression and illness and therapy
Kanyes done feeling how he was feeling during yeezus
He's done feeling angry and complaining
He just wants love
Wait did nicki do the “can we get much higher” or nah

Nope that's not it

@@nathanpike2739 good prolly
I want everyone to thank Shawn for not putting his thumbnail as him holding his face and his mouth open like the rest of the annoying reaction channels 🙏🏾🙏🏾. Thank you Shawn . Seriously.

Nicki Minaj was the first person on MBDTF and she is the last person on Ye so this album is the end Kanye’s Dark Fantasy

This comment ages very well
Just listened it and kanye never disappoints💯
To me this album sounds like a very natural progression for Kanye from his past albums like 8O8’s and TLOP
TESTING my patience smh Shawn just say something if you don’t want to review it. 😂
Honestly though😂

Nah, he gives his music taste as in a music genius, he likes bass but doesn’t like singing, making his viewers believe in Shawn Cee as a music guru.
*Can we all agree that that intro is beautiful tho? Melody is amazing.*
Why do people do people need to agree with you? Just enjoy it if you enjoy it.
ChrisJ Fox That's why I asked. Why do you have to try to make a statement going against what I said? Really, for what?
K!NG MXNT because the answer to your question is obviously no. There's always going to be some people that don't like a song that you like.
ChrisJ Fox I know that. You didn't have to agree with me. I don't understand what you're getting out of debating with me over something like a simple opinion that wasn't pushing anything on others, but ok.
ChrisJ Fox Honestly, are you just trying to start an argument because you have nothing else to do? Cuz if so then, dueces.
I love everyone’s reaction when they here Cudi roll up on to a track there all like “oh, nice good to see Cudi still trucking around “
The final vote is in the tag section!😱

MAN LIKE SHAWN WITH THE QUICKTIME REVIEW
this album aged amazingly
I really enjoyed this album. Really different to what we're used to and also a much more raw and emotional Ye we've heard. Not his best but up there.
*Ye we've heard for a while
The Champ is here. Didn’t disappoint. 🔥🔥🔥
Ghost town and Violent crimes were definitely my favorite, idk the melody alongside his words just really painted such a deeply profound and real picture to me. Very few songs made me feel how I felt while listening to those tracks. It’s weird to fully explain but this is what music is supposed to be.
Been waiting the whole day to hear watchu gotta say. Thanks for uploading so fast. If you're looking for sth new to react to, check out Choker's Peak, I think you won't regret it. Peace
Daniel Remian he’s supposed to be a secret shhh
What an album
thanks for the rec, loving the album
Brandon Genis umm, you mean Choker? 😅
JaseyGames I like how it blends a lot of styles and genres but still stays somewhat cohesive and interesting. What are your thoughts?
Now we wait for Quint

Joshua Kim true they cool peoples too

070 Shake did the vocals at the end of Ghost Town and the hook for the last track. She was also on Santeria. Great artist
Scott Foltz recognized her instantly... Amazing and unique artist!
i think this is honestly one of the greatest kanye albums EVER. he not only proved why he is considered and icon/genius. he created so many different scenarios and gave soooooo much food for thought which is what music and art should be

This album has aged so well. Just proves Kanye is way ahead of his time. Liked it back then but love it now.
Kanye still has no bad albums and he never will.
TheActivistBook
Lmao stfu
Louis Nevers agreed
Hard to have a bad album when whatever atrocity he commits musically is somehow justified and then praised
Louis Nevers facts
TheActivistBook
Strongly disagree
Ye is still a genius music wise 🤷🏾♂️
How so lmao?
Upful Soul
His beats are insane, the way he mixes vocals and delivers in his songs is top tier.
Kanye still has his touch lol.

I wasn't that impressed with his beats. There are a lot of dope producers out there. A genius does something others can't.
Upful Soul
Listen to Yeezus, listen to life of Pablo.
This album alone has beats that feel fresh and organic.
You probably like beat producers like metro boomin lol. No hate on metro tho.
Kanye is a musician and a producer. He's all of the package.

the album is good, it sucks that certain people aren’t going to enjoy or because of political views
Luh TG more like people will talk shit about it without listening to it just bc it’s kayne😭
I voted for Trump and this album is terrible. Even 808s shits all over this.
You have to go back it’s 2018 and you have Pepe have your avi your opinion is irrelevant
Curtis Blyden you still dumb asl 😭😭😭 when has he ever said some disrespectful shit to black people, that slavery comment was right if people never thought slavery was a choice back then, then slavery would still exist, you a fuckin sheep 🐑😭😭👎
*“Is this your KING???”* 7:59 😂😂
That line was so hot though, I don't understand why he didn't like that.

marcrobinson010 exactly Shawn wack
marcrobinson010 because it's silly Kanye amongst an album that's almost entirely serious. In the context of the album, it comes across as corny
K. West
When he said “ I don’t take advise from people less successful than me “ he was dissing drake not being literal

I saw a thing on reddit where someone said that Yeezus reflects his egotistical/god-like perspective of himself and this reflects his more humble, insecure human like side
Chance The Clapper yeah ok that’s why Kanye says he won’t take advice from people less successful than him in this album right?
Like I said I saw this on reddit but I don't see what isn't human about that. Plus, that was one line so calm yourself
This vid is almost as long as Kanye album😂
