My decreases daughter, may she rest in peace, was my baking buddy. She was so creative, always wanting to try new variations or new recipes. Every year on her birthday, I make her favorite brownies in her memory.

I just found your channel earlier this week. I am a Christian but I truly enjoy learning about your faith. I so love how you respect your children’s privacy by not showing their faces. All of your gifts were so creative and anyone would love to receive them. Thoughtful gifts that have been assembled so nicely always make them much more special and show how much the giver cares. Blessings!

      Hi Shawn!
I am so grateful that we can connect and that you are enjoying the content!
Thank you for noticing that I do not show the faces of my children : I think it will be their choice when they will be older if yes or no they want to be part of UA-cam or other social media! As many sages said: privacy is the entrance of greatness!
Thank you again for writing to me today
I hope to read from you soon!
      Stay safe and blessed

We have Lent at the moment which finishes at Easter. People traditionally give up any treats or special occasions during this time. However we have St. Patrick's Day (the patron saint of Ireland) on 17th march during lent. We generally break our abstinence on this day! I sing with our local parish choir at midday mass and celebrate afterwards with friends. Lent marks the fasting of Jesus in the desert for 40 days and nights. Clever Irish people put St. Patrick's Day in the middle of it! 🍀😁

    I love Purim prep!
I know this video is not brandnew and it’s not Purim season - but the assembly of the mishloach manot was so interesting and reminded me of my student exchange with a school in Israel where we celebrated Purim. I’m not Jewish so I’m not familiar with the exact customs of handing out/receiving the mishloach manot _but_ I (dressed up as a 1950s girl) do remember that I ended up with the mishloach manot from the cutest guy in the group 😇

I really love your video wich I always watch until the end. I was raised a catholic but reverted to Islam years ago however our family was very close friend with the rabbi family of our town and this is how I came to know of the Jewish way of life. We were blessed to often come to Shabbat meals and I loved it. They are all gone to G.od ( may they rest in peace) but I still miss them a lot. They were not orthodox but watching your videos is just like a step back in time and bring me so much nice memories so thanks a lot for that. Stay loved and blessed and may we all leave in peace and harmony. Shalom from France. 🥰

Not jewish, roman catholic from austria here. I enjoy watching jewish prepping videos and any other documentary regarding jewish lifestyle since it's really fascinating to watch all of the traditions and rituals and just how serious you folks are about your beliefs. I wish modern christians would have more of those daily rituals as well! Where i live jewish people seem to keep to themselves, so i really appreciate videos like yours to understand more about your culture 💞 Best wishes!

      Hello my sweet Gail!
thank you so much for your comment it means so much to me because I truly believe that you can enjoy traditions like Purim and giving gifts even if you are not Jewish! My main goal here is that I am here to spread positivity and share what I do as an orthodox jewish woman including some tips and tricks , some good recipes as well as create connections for us to feel united and to build on what we have in common! and o be part of the solution andto create a better world! I know I have drank too much of the fluffy unicorn and rainbows Kool-Aid today but I still believe that we can build a better world if we connect on what we have in common and accept the other and appreciate what they bring to the table!
And you my friend you are doing just that: creating bridges between our communities: you are so amazing!!

While I’m not Jewish (I’m Eclectic Wiccan), I admit to trying to be as up on different religions and their traditions as I can. And the grocery store in my town sells delicious Hamantaschen that I look forward to every year. Unfortunately, Purim passed by without my noticing so I missed them this year, aaaggh! I love Purim prep. Except i've never actually DONE Purim prep! I was raised Jewish but as an adult was Christian until age 38 when my spiritual life fell apart, about 5 years later, (3 years ago) My daughter started to go to Chabad and Hillel groups in university, and I started having us do Shabbat and holidays as much as we could manage, to support her, and fell in love with Judaism. :) We're going to our first Purim party (other than at the temple when i was a kid) On Wednesday! so exicted. Its at a Sephardic orthodox synagogue which is very foreign to me but i'm excited and grateful for their hospitality to the Ashkenazim :)

Hello Sara Malka. I love Thursday when I will see a new video. I wish you did live near me. I would love to give you hugs for all of the love you show me!! You are such a wonderful mom to do so many fun things with those beautiful children!! I love all of the gifts you made (I know I couldn't spell the proper name. I keep trying to pronounce it). You have given me so many ideas. I just found out that our family will be welcoming a new baby in December. I'm going to make my nephew and his wife one of the gifts I saw today. Thank you for always sharing with us. I loved the labels and will be using your fantastic hack. Love to you and your family and those beautiful kids❤️❤️❤️

Hi Sara Malka and Naomi. Bless your heart Naomi. You absolutely made my day!!!! I was just getting ready to write you to tell you how much I loved your mishloach manot ( I learned how to pronounce it and spell it). I had a blast making one for My nephew and his wife who are expecting their first baby in December. They love, love loved it!! Naomi. From your mom I got a big cutting board and made a special dip in a large mason jar. I also got it to stay with silly putty which your mom taught me about. From you and Leah I made hamantaschen for the first time ever. I put some jam in some (halfway through baking) and different candies in some. They were a huge hit!! I was very happy with the way they turned out!! I put four of them on the cutting board and the rest in a box. I made some bagels from your mom's recipe and put those with the cream cheese on the cutting board. From Michael I added two different kinds of chips. I love the story of Esther!! She was soooo brave. She didn't know about the phrase girl power back then but she sure had it!! I learned about her when I was about 10 years old and she has been my hero ever since. Please feel free to write me anytime. I love your family so much and would always be happy to hear from you!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Throughly enjoyed your Purim prep. Just a small very helpful tip … when you have finished wrapping your items with the cellophane., use a blow dryer to heat and to shrink the warp to your contents and give a very neat vacuum packed appearance. It will look like you bought the basket in the store.
Also it helps to secure the contents inside.
    Happy Purim 🌵🪴🛍🎊🥨🍿🍬🍭🥜🥠🍡

      Hi Helen!
      What a great tip!
I thought the blow dryer only worked with Shrinking wrapping paper, i did not know it works with ALL cellophane!
I have a few more mishloach manot to do so your tip is A must try for sure!!

Ok try one out on one of the wrapped parcels. I’m now wondering if it depends on what kind of cellophane you are using. The ones from dollar tree may be a different or possibly lower quality of material and not as strong as the ones you get in a floral shop for example. I certainly hope it works out. Apologies to you if it does not.

One more hopefully 🙏 helpful tip.
In a pinch I have made some baskets ( for other occasions) using an empty Clementine box. Often they are made of secure natural wood.
It’s great to put in some filler and use it as a Basket.
A few oranges , biscuits , wafers , coffee and or tea bags plus a nice mug makes a great gift anytime.
