Id love to see the Angler, the Hunter and farm simulator all joined together as one game. This way you can hunt and fish on the same game along with putting food plots and deer feeders out .

I used to play a game called Reel Fishing 2 back in the PS1 era. I was still a kid and I never came across that game again. You could go to different locations and catch fish, put them in your aquariums and it was simply majestic. No fishing game ever came close to it.
The game already seems like an excellent game to me nowadays, but one of the things that I still miss is not having the animation of us taking the fish out of the water, because that cut that takes place and the fish appears in the character's hand is Kind of a bummer for me, I would really like to finish "fighting" with the fish and actually get the fish out of the water. But otherwise the game is making excellent progress.
I was skeptical about getting this game. I bought it yesterday & I can’t stop playing it. I have it on ps5 & didn’t think it would utilize the haptic feedback & adaptive triggers on the ps5 controller. Boy was I wrong. You can feel the fish fighting against you as your triggers get tighter & you feel the tugging. That feature alone, plus the look of it all is incredible. The most fun fishing game I’ve played. I wish they had adaptive triggers & haptic feedback on The Hunter too.
Thanks for your comment confirming there's dual sense feature. Would pick this up at one point. And the reason why the hunter don't have haptic feedback coz it's PS4 version only, no native PS5.
Almost lost it when I saw it was Epic's free weekly game. Been eyeing this for at least six months and am glad I waited. So far I'm hooked, and I'll definitely be picking up any additional DLC they add.

I absolutely love CoTW. No matter what they create, they never fail to amaze us. TheAngler I do not have, but based on its graphics, the game would be astonishing.
I played fishing games a lot, like Russian Fishing4, fishing planet, etc. To me, The Angler has the most beautiful map and I enjoy roaming and fishing elements bind together, also easy to grind for new gears, although the fishing itself may need some further tweaks. But consider the price and future update, it worth a try.🙂
No reviews mention the free dlc tackle pack. It gives you access to high end bait caster rods and reels early on, which will save you a ton of money coming up through the levels that you can use on backpack / tackle box expansions.
Definetly worth it, because next week its free on epic, hard to go wrong with free :D Grinded Fishing Planet a lot back in days, may happen with this too..
Thank you for making this, I’ve been circling around getting it but just wasn’t sure. This helped a lot! On a side note, I wish they’d come out with a high quality Oregon Trail game. I mean RDR is probably the closest we have but it’d be cool if they had one that was technically based off the classic Oregon Trail games.
well one way to fix the day(night issue "dont own the game myself" but that could be "Only-DAY servers, and Only-Night servers" so we could jump back and forth.. or maybe servers with different times... one has a 1hday/1h night cycle... another 2/2... 2/1... etc
Loving the game, graphics are amazing and you can't beat the open world experience, there are many things I'd like to see added but EW is definetly on track in the right direction since the evolution update!
this video is helpful, i have a fishing game already, but its incredibly grindy and takes a lot of effort just to unlock your first new boat. The fishing game i have (called Rapala fishing: pro series) is meant as a more competitive fishing game whereas this angler game definitely seems like a more casual fishing game
Not sure if it'd be possible but it'd be cool if they made a lodge that connects the two games where you can put fish and deer. Would incentives people to play both
Great video Lady!!! I started playing on Playstation last Tuesday. I am currently level 20, just got that today. I love the game and the missions, including looking for Big Foot. I won't spoil it for those who haven't done that mission. I wish EW would fix the crashes. I would crash at least 2 to 3 times before the game would play well. I am assuming since they have different community servers, that you have to find one that won't make you crash. Today, I chose to turn off multiplayer and crossplay and never crashed once.
They need to fix the dailies and weekly’s… sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. It rarely counts your catches on ps5. Can’t connect with my friends on the same map. Also if you have lots of tackle , and you have the slide bar on the side , it won’t scroll down to see the rest of your inventory. I have to store a bunch of stuff first to get to the bait ect I need .
Agreed! My daily and weekly’s just started working right once I got to level 20… I still have trouble with the tackle and need to store tackle to see the ones I need to use.

I put a jig head on with a plastic worm and cast out 100 feet and let it drop to the bottom. I did the jigging motion and caught a brook trout on the bottom!
You can already bottom fish and it works great! Rod stands would be sweet! I would love to be able to troll the water in my boat with enough drag to be able to have enough time to snag the fish before I lose it.
Definitely worth it, I just bought it and I am enjoying it. They could keep the key setup the same as Hunter. I have noticed there is no auto walk or run. I am level 12 and still fishing with float and bait. need to figure out the lure and spinning methods. This and game and Hunter would be awesome in VR. Imagine that walking around as if you are really there

Got the best rig combo thing In the Marian rod with cigar float size 7 hook the minnow as bait and Tyro reel with the thickest line it’s actually beast go to the bridge 10 o’clock it’s mint and face north west
Got this on ps4 a few days ago on sale, it was the ultimate edition as well! Got the 2 newer maps with it (Norway and Spain, and also a clothing pack.) I actually love this game more than The Hunter COTW. (I'm more of a fisherman at heart than a hunter.) I believe i'm level 15 or 16. I don't remember off the top of my head. I haven't caught any diamonds yet, but am working on it, but i have caught a ton of gold rank fish. I honestly don't really play the missions, as I am more interested in fishing for what I want to catch. So far, my favorite fish to go after are smallmouth bass.
As an ex fisherman who is now disabled. This is the closest thing I have ever come to real fishing. Once you get use to the menus, this game really is top notch fishing.
I've been searching for a new fishing sim game to replace Fishing Resort for the Wii - I loved that game so much. But I no longer have a Wii, so this game looks pretty good. Idk maybe.
I've bought the game, played with it for 2 hours, and asked for a refund, it felt like I was playing with an unfinished product more specifically with a low budget mobile game. I'll definitely keep an eye on the game, because I love fishing games, but as of right now it's not worth it imo. Some might say it's a cheap game, and what I don't have the money for it, yes I do have to money for it, but I don't like to hold onto unfinished products in the hope of them getting better ASAP.
@@LadyLegendXO I gave it a go on release, and since it was on sale recently I had to try it once again, but even tho I saw some minor improvements, it wasn't enough for me to keep it. It still has a long way to go, but within 2-3 years I hope they will improve it to the point when I can say it is to my liking, and would gladly recommend it to others.

The game is overall great but there is plenty of room for improvements. Game have some graphical issues here n there. And the physics need a bit of work. Line dosn't really seem to track your lure/hooks And the fish biting hook mostly make a weird bubble thing much further away than where your bait is. The splashing around your fishing line is also pretty weird n need some work. Im sure the devs will be working hard on this game like they do on cotw (Hunter) And im sure we're in for a long n great ride with many great and afordable dlcs. Like a Lodge to put your fish in. Many more fish, rods and gear. New Maps n so on. I really hope to see 'Bigger sea boats' in the future and Sea fishing! Imagine fishing fo 0:01 r sail fish, Tuna or even sharks! That would be Incredible haha
Just after a couple of days stop playing it. As a pasionate and expirianced angler I could say that Fishing Planet is more realistic. The key moment was when I casted a ultra lite float in a raging river and it was standing still like in the calm water. Graphic are great but everything about fishing it self is below Fishing Planet.

I tired free on xbox gamepass for a few days before deciding to buy it or not but have brought it Im enjoying it a lot also have you seen the northern lights on the Norway map I have two diamonds and cutthroat trout and a roach I do fish irl too buy my opinion we will have to wait a see what the next maps look like but I'm happy with what is there so far

Yep definitely most worth the money for the game I got the deluxe edition on PS4 and I totally love the game so far closest to real life fishing as it comes hopefully you enjoy as well and hopefully we will see more of it from you too
Hi guys, what PC systems do you have because I find the game is quite laggy and I dont have small system. core i7 gen 12 RTX3060 16Gig ram. Graphics is hitting my machine, and i don't want to turn it down to much because the graphics is just so amazing. Do I need a GPU update say a nvidia 40 series like a 4070 or something
I wouldn’t think the 3060 would have much issue running the game, but if it is the graphics are tanking your frames then you can either turn down some of the settings or upgrade your gpu. Also may check to see if raytracing is on if it’s an option, you can turn it off and get much better performance without a huge graphical sacrifice. The game will still look amazing.
yes its worth it.. (My opinion) i just hope they fix the PS4 version because ive been having alot of crashs.. mostly during missions or fishing off my boat.. it’s currently the only game i play 😂
Fast paced simulator game is good and that is why i chose to play the game. If i want video games to be realistic i might as well go out touch some grass and go fishing IRL where i might or might not catch one fish in whole day lol..
The openness is gnarly as hell. There's literally nowhere you can't fish like those "zones" on other titles where an invisible line stops you ..not here. I love to put my headset on, turn the lights off and play this. It feels so real ive caught myself trying not to move too much or make noise then I think like "it's a game dummy" lol it's that immersive. If your an angler at heart and irl you'll love this. This is made for passionate anglers. There's even small hidden ponds which is cool as hell along with nature perfect game to crack a cold one and relax. Only thing I'd like to see more of is more maps an lakes. That's it. I'm sure it'll come though. I was worried it was gonna be like fishing planet having to pay irl cash for gear and bait. Only other fishing game I play is fishing sim world bass master classic which is amazing even though it can be glitch city.
@@LadyLegendXO they're really random. sometimes I cant pull out the fishing rod. In the challengers with the lady at the beginning I have to reset my game after every step to progress.

They need to add a lodge to save your fish like in the hunter. It makes the grind worth it being able to show off your trophies

Worst part is that the multi-player sucks, it's laggy, desynced and impossible to join your friends

I have auto run. I'm on PC. You go to a full run and then press G. So you should have it on console too. VR would be INSANE!!!
If you play it on Xbox, auto run is pressed down on the left hand stick. I wish it had auto drive for the Jeep. Lol. At least I can't find it.

I got it for free in epic games, installed it, and was super exited BUT as nothing in my life can be perfect, it crashes everytime i get in
That’s frustrating? Better free than you paid for crashing but there’s gotta be a way to fix that!

I tired free on xbox gamepass for a few days before deciding to buy it or not but have brought it Im enjoying it a lot also have you seen the northern lights on the Norway map I have two diamonds and cutthroat trout and a roach I do fish irl too buy my opinion we will have to wait a see what the next maps look like but I'm happy with what is there so far

@@LadyLegendXO that was my plan but wanted to check it out and ended unlocking the map catching a few fish in the way I'm level 39 only been playing five days done a lot of daily and weekly challenges aswell I can't wait to what else comes to the game some rain would be nice to see

Yep definitely most worth the money for the game I got the deluxe edition on PS4 and I totally love the game so far closest to real life fishing as it comes hopefully you enjoy as well and hopefully we will see more of it from you too

Best thing about the angler is it’s cross play and I was playing lastnight and flinter ended up joining my game I just about fell out of my chair 😂😂.
the hunter is to the way of the hunter like the angler is to russian fishing 4....plenty of options out there for all playstyles. Great vid.

Hi guys, what PC systems do you have because I find the game is quite laggy and I dont have small system. core i7 gen 12 RTX3060 16Gig ram. Graphics is hitting my machine, and i don't want to turn it down to much because the graphics is just so amazing. Do I need a GPU update say a nvidia 40 series like a 4070 or something
I wouldn’t think the 3060 would have much issue running the game, but if it is the graphics are tanking your frames then you can either turn down some of the settings or upgrade your gpu. Also may check to see if raytracing is on if it’s an option, you can turn it off and get much better performance without a huge graphical sacrifice. The game will still look amazing.

i just hope they fix the PS4 version because ive been having alot of crashs.. mostly during missions or fishing off my boat.. it’s currently the only game i play 😂
I just want a different camera angel for when you drive cars/boats... like a third person view.
They updated the jeeps with the new map. They are WAYYYYY faster! So much better. But I would love a new angle too!

It was fun when I got to play it. After the first time the maps don't load and it crashes so I guess that's it for me lol
They just put out a bunch of fixes. Did you try it since then?

Fast paced simulator game is good and that is why i chose to play the game. If i want video games to be realistic i might as well go out touch some grass and go fishing IRL where i might or might not catch one fish in whole day lol..
I love this game but i hate driving in first person and not being able to pass time on solo.
The driving is annoying

The openness is gnarly as hell. There's literally nowhere you can't fish like those "zones" on other titles where an invisible line stops you ..not here. I love to put my headset on, turn the lights off and play this. It feels so real ive caught myself trying not to move too much or make noise then I think like "it's a game dummy" lol it's that immersive. If your an angler at heart and irl you'll love this. This is made for passionate anglers. There's even small hidden ponds which is cool as hell along with nature perfect game to crack a cold one and relax. Only thing I'd like to see more of is more maps an lakes. That's it. I'm sure it'll come though. I was worried it was gonna be like fishing planet having to pay irl cash for gear and bait. Only other fishing game I play is fishing sim world bass master classic which is amazing even though it can be glitch city.
good game at first but im having a lot of issues on PC. You have to restart the game frequently anytime something glitches...
What issues have you been having? I haven't been running into any yet...
@@LadyLegendXO they're really random. sometimes I cant pull out the fishing rod. In the challengers with the lady at the beginning I have to reset my game after every step to progress.
