@@irkaifi I have no idea why not! When I click on the link in a new browser, not logged into Etsy, it says, "Open an Etsy shop and list your first 40 items free." Does it say this for you?
I only see the "39 free listings" under the listings category, nowhere else. Have you opened up a shop using that link and then after publishing an item, see the 39 free listings under listings?
@@JenniferMarieVO I only saw "40 free listings" after I added one listing. So it seems like you have to add your own listing first and then "40 free listings" shows up under the listing category.
There are a number of different tutorials on UA-cam on starting out on Etsy but I must admit I found yours significantly clearer and better explained than many of the others. No hype or ezzagerated claims. Just straight forward talking about how to start out on Etsy, step by step. I would love to share one or two of your videos with my students. I look forward to seeing other tutorials in your series.

The Tutorial is very instructive. I really appreciate it, since I'm new in Esty. But, I think you need to come back with details on the "How do I get Paid" My Bank details and what is the smart ID and if you don't have a smart ID what do you do?

Thank you so much! I know you have to use copyright free material. So you couldn't take images from online like cartoons etc, that are copyrighted. You can find royalty free designs from websites like pixabay to help create your content. :)
Hi Jennifer, thanks for your video, it was extremely helpful. I set up my store just like yours, with an iPad next to it step by step, but with a different name, files and description, the only detail I changed was the quantity I put 99. It took me a while not to make mistakes and it ended up being too late, on the day I was going to add more digital files and but it didn't work. The next day, I received a message at the store that my account was suspended, which violated the rules, then asked me to make a defense and that a technician would analyze my apology and that it could take up to 14 days. I don't know what's wrong, they are mug shots with free image without rights with my files. I looked at all the guidelines and none of them volleyed, nor did I receive any e-mail from them explaining why. It's been 10 days this, upset.

I signed up for Etsy with your link (and got the 40 free listings page), filled in all my info and then set out to upload my first (digital) product. Got all the way through, was waiting for it not to "take" as you demonstrated in your video - however, the error I got was that my account had been suspended! What? I literally JUST signed up. Have you seen this happen before? Thanks.
As I do this, Etsy wants me to upload a digital file that will be sent as soon as the customer makes a purchase. Since I am personalizing table numbers (as you demonstrated in another video about Canva), I won't have a digital download until I have a photo and details from the customer. Do I need to change a setting/uncheck a box somewhere?

In the past about 9 years ago I’ve had a Etsy account and I let that go, but when I tried to open a new one yesterday it didn’t allow me because I don’t have a major credit card. It sucks but I won’t be going through Etsy.

It is a bit unclear after going via the shop manager bit. I still get the glitch. Please help🙏23 April Update: All sorted. Contacted Etsy support and live chatted with them. Opened the shop on a different browser was the recommendation and it all worked out. Shop opened :)

Hello, for adding the quantity on a digital file, can we leave it at one or do we have to change the quantity?
You can leave it at 1, but I recommend putting a higher number so it won't show as Sold Out and the listing will keep renewing for you

You get the 40 listings only if you sign up under the link I provided with a new email address. I didn't post that link in previous videos because I didn't know about it till now. You will have to open up a secondary shop under a new email. I explain all in the video.

I would just like to ask a question if I may, without sounding stupid? Why do you upload 2 files for the customer? I understand 1 is PNG and the other PDF, but why both?
You definitely don't have to. You could offer just one file type (although some customers may prefer having options for whatever reason). I just wanted to demonstrate how to upload multiple files.

Hi Jenny mam!! Recently i opened ETSY Shop but with problems.....I had tough time setting up the "Billing" area, it didnt have the option for Paypal nor it accepted my debit cards for ETSY Payments(It says this type card is invalid).... had so hard time finding up the paypal option for payments, still didnt find it, so ended up cancelling my shop setup. And i found the error may be occured by the 2nd step, the country... my country isnt listed in the etsy listings...... so my country cards are not being accepted.... but there must be an option for PAYPAL RIGHT??
