Bring it on Isaiah! Reveal the Messiah in the servant songs! Explode my mind when you talk about the gospel of God in Isaiah 52:13 - 53:12! In this 4th servant song, the profundity of the cross is laid out before us! Thank you for saving us Jesus!
Yesss! I’m gonna be writing down and meditating on what God says about himself in these chapters! Here’s one that stood out to me… “…The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.” Isaiah 40:28 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. Isa40:28 Ponder this verse. What an incredible God.
Isaiah 40:28-31 “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” These verses reminds us of the Lord’s limitless power and unchanging character. Unlike us, YHWH never grows weary or tired. His strength is available to us, especially when we feel weak or overwhelmed. I need reread this chapter a few more times today and truly meditate on these promises. We all face moments of exhaustion (especially this time of year) whether it’s from work, relationships, or just life in general. It’s easy to rely on our own strength, but Isaiah reminds us that true renewal comes from waiting on the Lord. Waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing, it’s about trusting God’s timing and seeking Him through prayer, Scripture, and quiet reflection. 2 Corinthians 12:9: “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” Whatever challenges we are facing this week, let’s take time to surrender them to the Lord in prayer. Ask for His strength to guide us while resting and abiding in Christ. We don’t have to carry life’s burdens alone. YHWH is always there to renew and strengthen us when we turn to Him!
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
If I remember correctly, the book of Isaiah has 3 major sections. The first 2 are the kingship of the messiah followed by the servant aspect of our messiah. These prophecies have been fulfilled. The last section, is a prophecy that is yet to be fulfilled. This is the prophecy of the messiah’s return as the Conquering messiah.
Jesus’ suffering and sacrifice covered 200% of ALL our sins… past, present and future! Amen. Hallelujah 🙌🏻 “Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.” Isaiah 40:2 KJV
YES!! I am encouraged to be bold for the name of Jesus to be lifted high!
