From all info I've heard, Mike Pondsmith asked them not to put Morgan Blackhand into 2077 at the current time. He wanted to figure out what Blackhand was up too in 2077 and hadn't yet.
This is True and he said he wants to be majorly involved with blackhand recently and hes looking forward to him being a part of it at least from recent post that ive read
Yeah for sure. I think if the series leaves an opening for it, Blackhand will be officially introduced in a sourcebook again for the 2040s, then be in Orion.
Because its cool. Because Morgan has a black cyberhand or arm and Johnny got his cyberarm Chromed. And Blackhand/Silverhand sounds better than Blackarm/Silverarm lol Those sound a lot more like dwarven names tbh... (Yeah....Johnny the Bard, I can see him singing "Dancin with my Axe" down in a Dwarf bar, they would love that)

Having the tech to change your face means any character we will meet in Phantom Liberty might be Blackhand. He’s obviously still active and can blend in covertly.
I wonder if they'll do something ballsy and say an NPC from the game was Blackhand in disguise the whole time, like imagine if that one homeless guy always yelling stuff about aliens or the Buddhist monk was Morgan the entire time.
My money is on Solomon Reed (Idris Elba) being Blackhand in disguise, even if it's not revealed until after the events of the expansion in some hint in a throwaway text log
If they're gonna do Blackhand in Orian, I think Jeffery Dean Morgan would be perfect. Not only do they look alike, they share the same name. It's fate to get Morgan to play Morgan
I'm ready for Morgan Blackhand to be our "Johnny Silverhand" in Orion. Either we play as him, or he's someone who is majorly important for the story to revolve around. Also I have my theory that Blackhand is indirectly in Cyberpunk 2077 in the form of Mr. Hands, going under the guise of the Fixer, since technology exists that lets us disguise as someone elses' face. He even has the white hair streaks.
Either that or he's going to be Orion's Adam Smasher. A living legend that is a force of nature on his own. Hopefully they make his boss fight actually feel like you're fighting a living legend unlike Smasher
To me, it sounds like a combination of distrust of, and disgust at major corporations or governments might have pushed Blackhand either out of the remnants of the U.S., or into closer and closer association with Nomads. It seems like Blackhand used a comparatively minimalist approach to major cyberwear and smart weaponry, possibly to minimize vulnerability to crippling effects if they're disabled somehow. Because of his military experience, he would logically have an appreciation of teamwork and having a reliable support network. If he wants to stay close enough to keep an eye on the action, but still be out from under convenient observation, I'd propose that partnering with nomads would be a good way to keep his skills in practice, and keep him in a lean, combat-capable state.
Another reason why Mr. blueeyes can't ben Blackhand is because we meet him at the Afterlife. There is no way he could enter that place and not be immediately recognized.
ppl suspected he was in a different body, the mr.blue eyes body probably with a voice changer too and ofc without his signature black hand so that’s why they wouldn’t recognize him
@@sean1910 I don’t think Mike Pondsmith would want to just write off his self insert character like that. He definitely has some ideas for his reappearance in either Orion or the live action project
Morgan being a construct seems the most likely, he was more meat than metal, got nuked and dropped with the tower. We know from the sourcebook that Johnny didn't make it to the top of the tower and got cut down by Smasher before that, his memories in CP2077 are either edited or not his and instead it was the memory of Morgan reaching the top of the tower and staying behind
It's crazy to me that this isn't the leading theory, and is rarely mentioned at all. Some would rather say he's the one controlling Mr. Blue Eyes (in human form or AI), which is certainly possible, but has little evidence to point to it. Whereas there are numerous indications for Johnny to be linked to Morgan: Johnny has many of Morgan's memories and personality traits, the tags of the "friend" who sacrificed themselves was the real human Johnny, etc. The are others, and each of these can have different explanations, but they strongly point to this theory. My thoughts are that when Johnny was Soulkilled (the real version, where it was done by Murphy) but his body was left at Arasaka along with Morgan, that Morgan actually got the first Johnny engram put into him and was experimented on by Arasaka to develop their own version of it, which explains why their memories and personalities are merged, even for the 2.0 engram of "Johnny Silverhand". Which come on...they're both named after their single cyber arms and the specific colors of them... Perhaps Morgan escaped somehow and was able to somewhat cure himself of the engram, and it's him who will come to help V get a true cure for it the sequel as he's the only person who has actually gone through the same thing and survived it. Or perhaps he failed in some way, and also exists in the cybernet somewhere (pointing to the Mr. Blue Eyes theory), yet will still be able to help V to learn from his experience with the relic.
Mike Pondsmith has said what Morgan would look like in the 2040s, meaning he couldn’t have gotten too fucked up. I think there are also “eyewitnesses” in the ttrpg that say they saw black hand
Morgan Blackhand is the Character I wanted to see as both a Playable Character and Supporting Role in a potential "Cyberpunk" Prequel Game set somewhere around in the 1980's (similar to Johnny Silverhand's Role in "Cyberpunk 2077").
I think CDPR put in a Morgan Blackhand easter egg with one of the Mercs that hunts you should you get a 4 star wanted level in Pacifica. One of the mercs that can hunt you down is a portly looking guy with a black cyberarm, which fits the same description CDPR implies to be Blackhand. Said Merc is crazy hard and only comes in should you consistently kill the mercs hunting you down after 5 minutes keeping the wanted level up
Great video! I love the mystery of Morgan Blackhands whereabouts in 2077. I hope we get introduced to him at some point. I was hoping he was going to be who helped V in the expansion but it seems like that may be idris Elbas character instead
Solomon Reed might have some sort of connection with Blackhand though so we never know. As long as we see Blackhand in a sourcebook then Orion, I am satisfied for the most part. Thank you for watching choom I’m glad you enjoyed
Thank you for the kindness and support! I always appreciate it. It’s crazy how much V has to accomplish to take the title of “Night City Legend” from Blackhand, despite Blackhand being inactive since 2023. Really says a lot!
I plan on making a video about why he was so talented and what cyberware he had soon. However with Silverhand, he definitely wasn’t fond of him. He for the most part found Rockerboys obnoxious since they’d often be loud then just get themselves killed. He probably had some level of respect for Silverhand though
Wasn't Morgan also very natural and shunned any unnecessary cybernetic modification? Made him a truly amazing Solo in an era where so many used/relied on technological enhancements to match his own exploits.
I’m glad you’re enjoying them! Thank you for watching and I hope I continue to see ya commenting, I always try to bring something unique to the community
I don't know if anyone has pointed it out yet but anyone else spot the guy who looks like Morgan black hand at the 22 second mark in the second teaser trailer for phantom liberty?
I noticed him and questioned it at first. His cyberarm is however on the wrong side and since he's with NUSA doubt it's Blackhand. Though it brought me to an interesting idea of, if there's copycats mimicking Blackhand.
Wonder are the odds we will see Morgan Blackhand in the recently announced live action series. It’s pretty safe to say Keanu is likely going to brought in.
May i say look at that view count i really hope these people start joining the convo and subscribing to your channel would be nice to hearing more view points and seeing more chooms!!
I would definitely like these types of videos to reach more people. That’s what everyone says on UA-cam though! I’m very happy with how my content is doing and I never expected to have such amazing people to interact with!
I really appreciate the support! This next sourcebook will be insane, filling in the gap between 2045 and 2076. There’s so much to reveal and we will finally be getting some answers to questions we’ve had the past 2 years
The thing I don't understand is who took the nuke to arasaka tower and did they know they were going to kill a massive number of innocent people? Morgan Blackhand has a reputation for capturing his targets not killing recklessly. Once the true story is revealed in "The LIe" or whatever it is called. Then what is the general perception of Militech, blackhand & silverhand? I have not managed to find out. I think Blackhand will be in the DLC even if just as a cameo as they will want to get as much fan attention as possible. And by adding iconic characters to the DLC it promotes the tabletop books to new players. They want maximum sales.
It was Johnny Silverhand. His hatred for Arasaka and his ego drove him pretty much into psychosis. Although the "memories" we are shown are full of contradictions, I think it's safe to say he didn't tell anyone about the nukes until they were already in the atrium, much like how Rogue only found out his reason for coming back was to boost his groupie numbers.
I said I'd be giving someone else a turn on the top comment thingy, but Johnny Silverhand said something to me my fifth playthrough I wanted to pass onto you if you. If you hadn't noticed it, anyway. Gonna give you the dialogue options I chose so you can find it. After one of the main missions speaking with trying to find Evelyn at clounds, (The mission is Automatic Love). You stumble outside of an elevator coughing blood while Silverhand is freaking out. V sits down reeling from the head ache and Silverhand aggressively grabs a stepping stool to sit on it in front of you. Silverhand: "Gonna decom-ish before we learn how to rip the chip out." V: (You don't care if I live.) "You wanted me dead. Said so yourself." Silverhand: "Made it pretty clear that I changed my mind. Want you to live now. V: (Asked you - what the hell do you want?) "I asked already... what the hell ya want from me?" Silverhand: I got a get-outta-jail-free card. I'd be a fuckin' fool not to take advantage. See, me and Arasaka, we got a half-century-old score needs settling, and I plan to do it. That's what I need you for." V: (For some ideal? Or to square a grudge?) "But why? Fightin' for some dated ideal? Pursuin' a personal vendetta?" Silverhand: You don't need to know. Here to get me from point A to point B. Listen, I know things, where we can save your like, who can help us do that. Soulkiller's what we need and Mikoshi's how we grab it." V: (Mikoshi - what's that, exactly?) "OK, so, this Mikoshi - what is it, exactly?" Silverhand: OK, basics. If you're jacked in, cruisin' the Net, Arasaka can use Soulkiller, and AI, to trap, fry and pack away your psyche, your mind, and soul. Followin' so far? This is the part of the conversation I wanted too bring to your attention, LayedBackGamers; V: (Yep, saw what happened to you.) "Yeah, seen the memories - did a real number on ya." Silverhand: OK... Seems we got a few more things to broach than I thought, but that'll come later. Johnny Silverhand then goes on to talk about Soulkiller and what it does. Which, at this point we already know. However I want to bring a finer scope on what Silverhand said in the above line. It almost feels like Johnny knows the truth, (I.E. his actual demise by Adam Smasher), instead of knowing that V is experiencing his false memories. Now, in all honesty, this maybe something you already talked about and I missed. This may be something someone else has mentioned too you. All I know is that this detail was eating at my attention until I made this comment. Now that I have, I can now rest knowing that I have made this without it bothering me no further. Hope this helps you!
This is a really great find! It’s weird for him to say that because I believe it was never really brought up again. So I guess he just never took the opportunity to truly speak to us about what he wanted to. I’m playing through the game on my streams every week so I’m gonna activate this quote to show everyone. Thank you for commenting so in depth choom! It’s really helpful!
Theres a few things i noticed similiar in some of the other dialogues with other characters as well that pointed that the events johnny remembers wasnt necessarily right (as we all know wrong as all hell) im going to go through and write down a few for Sunday but definitely good notice in the dialogue i always at that point thought johnny was just trying to hash things out with v as well were both in this shit show together type deal...
reminds me of a theory kinda relating to johnny silverhand makes me think maybe blackhand altered the relic to erase himself from johnny's memories. I think someone else mightve brought this up cant remember who. Maybe to give johnny a better chance of surviving in a new body by making him a better solo?
Dont forget about the goggles that have a description by Blackhand describing the moment he was recruited by Militech at a bar after he beat a bunch of people up.
isn’t some of Mr. Blue Eyes models in the game files named black hand tho i know there was clues to black hand in the game files that were cut so ig it shouldn’t be considered canon though it could be a clue to him
I believe his hair is, but I’m not sure about any of the other assets. I believe Blackhand was originally planned for the game in some way and that technically the hair is styled like how he might have it. Though Pondsmith did tell CDPR not to include him at all so it would be a weird reveal if he really were Blackhand
oh man! what i’d do to see V meet or battle Black hand. technically V is a solo, he has seen death and but he survived. with phantom liberty, V took hell of job helping the NUS president and survive, although black hand has gone through more but V and Morgan have some similarities and wished they kick it off. i guess we’ll wait until cyberpunk 2
Been trying to get UA-cam to cooperate with my uploaded scripts. Bit confused on the process so might have to find a work around to just generate them in my editing software. If I can’t, I’m going back to writing them myself
I think he AND Johnny died at Arasaka tower, Johnny in the big room when smasher showed up, and Blackhand from soulkiller after the fact. Their memories intertwined by mikoshi and Johnny's natural self centeredness filling in the gap, because OF COURSE Smasher would wanna zero him above all else, he is a narcissist. Even though canonically, Smasher and Blackhand had the bigger rivalry, hence Smasher's joy in capturing Blackhand as he fell from the helicopter. If Arasaka wanted to contact Alt, or capture her again, their best chance was with a working engram, which we see they can still take from a longer dead body from Jacky, so they mixed it with the engram of a still breathing Blackhand after the fact as bait to fill in the gaps death left.
Wow that text on computer abt lazarus agents being killed by some man.could this be our phantom liberty faction? I never heard lazarus mention in cp77 before that. In phantom liberty trailers we fight some military faction
I'll side with the current story as canon. In order to not increase all sides of the conflict Morgan and Rogue were offered an escape if it was all blamed on Johnny. One became a fixer, and the other became a media
Some part of me wonders if the line about the Rockerboy blowing up an entire corporate platoon wasn't added in after the raid in 2023 by an unscruplous editor or publishing corp.
From the moment. I understood the weakness of MEAT... it disgusted me... I crave the strength and certainty of chrome. I aspire to the purity of blessed JDM. Your kind, cling to your meat, as though it will not, decay and fail you.
I personally really want to know more about black hand but all so I want to know more about Johnny and spider because she looks so similar to Johnny's girlfriend which is strange
Considering his dislike for heavy cyberware and the years that have passed since the arasaka fiasco, I would imagine he is either already dead, or way too old
This must be why LMGs are hamstrung in the game. SOMEone doesn't want players to become the new Solo's Solo. At least they finally put an iconic one in Liberty.
@@ChainsnrosesMy ideas for actors are Hugh Jackman, Brolin, RDJ or maybe Henry Cavill (especially Cavill because his care and attention to detail with the characters he plays is second to none these days)
I only started playing cyberpunk this spring and my question is, even if blackhand did survive wouldn't he have died of old age by the time 2077 came around? he had barely any cyberware so how could his life expectancy be the same as someone like rogue per say.
Pretty sure there is also a set of boots that mention MBH in their description. Some steel toe solo boots, I can't remember their name, but for some reason I thought they actually belonged to him.
i had a theory i could spend a good hour on, but i believe that adam smasher IS morgan blackhand. blackhand was in the rubbel and wreckage of arasaka, a place CRAWLING with corpo goons the second it fell, the capacity for morgan to escape that and a nuke is unlikely where adam smasher might have let him go as some way of continuing their bout another time, arasaka has no such qualms, their cold hearted corporatism. in addition the tower bombing is meant to be this last big hurrah for the old ways, the lawless chaotic streets and the rebel spirit vs cold hearted bureaucratic BS. smasher himself and morgan being avatars of that, its why johnnys death in firestorm has such weight, johnny is meant to be this living avatar of S,D & RnR, and he tosses himself on the swords of the enemy in typical rocker boy fashon to die a martyrs death to save his fellows. so i wanna set the stage, the tower is gone, smasher lies dead, his broken body a tattered husk of its former owner, but largely intact. morgan is alive, but cannot fight back or even raise a finger. arasaka wants their new age still, they need smasher for that end to hunt down that free spirit and stamp it out. or at least keep it out of sight and mind (hence why he killed the edgerunners, nobodies really in arasakas grand scheme, but rebel youth who could rekindle the flame that guttered like a windblown candle by then). so they take morgan, in silent, and shove his brain into adam smashers body, enslaving him, shackling him, a tormented soul, trapped in the body of his former enemy like a dog on a leash, the ultimate symbol of arasakas flawed and twisted ideals, needing a mortal man to help them with their metal and breakfast cereal brand future. a world where theyre house values antiquated ideals and outdated concepts, and stamps out anyone with new ideas be they rebel or mildly off script. its why saburo has the whole carrying on by taking over his descendants bodies. saburo refuses to let go of these things, afraid of what the next generation might do, afraid of what lies beyond the bend for others when its none of his buisness. and maybe.. id like to think johnny silverhand in 2077 has morgans memories as morgan/smasher visited him, and in a moment of clarity in makoshi shoved fragments of his soul, his mind into johnny's wether he knew it or not, as his way of saying thank you, of his way of saying goodbye, and that not all is lost, that someone wouldnt stomach them forever, flatten the place and steal johnny away, a alst desperate roll of the dice by zombified morgan
I don’t think Mr Blue Eyes had any allegiance with corps or people he doesn’t trust. I think it’s bigger than that, it’s bigger than the reality of Cyberpunk but the fight for cyberspace. He’s allied him self with AIs after the fight for soul killer he’s gone down a rabbit hole that he hasn’t came out of & managed to become a contract/engram making himself immortal & there’s something bigger going on in the crystal palace which is why he has blue eyes & hired V to do a heist there thinking it could help V in the process.
I thought Mr. Hands the fixer was Morgan Blackhand retired. Both have a skunklike hairdoo. And the whole surviving a nuke at ground zero is absurd. No one within 2 miles would have survived. And everything would have been vaporized/turned to dust. This is cartoonish fiction.
we know for sure that mr blue eye's model is the same model that was suppouse to be 2077 black hand. That said... i dont think he is mr blue eyes rather just acting as the proxy or body for mr blue eyes which is probably an AI that is richard night. Thier union and morgans dissapearance might have something to do with that night at arasaka tower.
Honestly I'd love to do some side quest where you help the girl in the books (now grown up) and she talks about her "grandpa" and eventually ya meet him on some lifesupport machine barley clinging onto life...I'd love something like this so when you fight smasher you can taunt him by telling him blackhands still alive and this just pisses off smasher who's thought blackhands been dead all this time
So assuming that cyberpunk 2077 is canon (not the endings or choice the player makes but stuff we see that we have no control or sway over) then when we see Johnny’s versions of the events we see him doing stuff that we know Morgan Blackhand did, there are a couple of ways to look at this but I’m going with the idea that before silverhand could be uploaded to the data stick he suffered brain damage meaning he lost bits and pieces of his memory and while he was a program he started casting about to fill them holes and at some point he must have come into contact with Morgan’s mind, if I had to guess ied say that clip of Johnny been tortured by Arasaka was actually Morgan which means that he somehow managed to survive the nuclear blast and the towers collapsing on him 🤔🤥 and was taken prisoner then somehow what was left of Johnny’s mind came into contact with Morgan and Johnny used his memory’s to fill in his blanks that’s why we see Johnny fighting smasher and Johnny setting up the nuke there Morgan’s memories that Johnny unwittingly stole the question is did he only copy Morgan’s memory or did he accidentally rip his mind apart while been used to torture blackhand? Also if they had blackhand do we really think he would survive all this time to 2077? Or maybe he ended up just like Johnny a prisoner on a data chip stored in some lab.
You know mike pondsmith is now involved with the writting and creativeness with cdpr on cyberpunks morgan blackhand even gonna to a prequel book of his return

Ok… and here me out… what if black hand Morgan is actually our Johnny? Think about it. he knows everything about Johnny silverhand do to being a former member of samurai. Alt even said Johnny was unreliable narrator, but maybe in a way we don’t think. During the destruction of the first tower, in the 2020 book, Johnny was cut in half by an autoshotgun by Adam smasher. In cyberpunk 2077 , in the memory, Johnny cyber arm was smashed but we Keep forgetting who else has a cyber arm. That’s right: Morgan Black Hand. Also with Morgan , we don’t know the exact details of the fight. But we do know that both bodies of Adam and Morgan were not found in the rubble. And do you think it’s a coincidence that we have a memory of Adam smasher escorting us as we are captured to get soul killed. And one major detail everyone keeps on forgetting: Johnny wasn’t Adam’s rival, Morgan was Adams rival.
BlueEyes model *is* named that yes. And there is an older version model in the game files. But those were left behind from when Mike asked cdpr not to include Morgan. They simply repurposed the npc model for the young version. Waste not, want not as the old folks used to say (lol) Personally, I think BlueEyes is Rache Bartmoss. Controlling the body from the net, since he ditched his meatbag before they hit his conapt. I say the net, not the Net. Meaning, he's hiding in the various bubblenets of the city, since the fall of the old Net. Think he's been here in NightCity all along. He never left us. He's just been pissing in the various Corpo's ponds since they tried to flatline him back in 2022, jumped out of his frozen meat popsicle body just before the hit. Remember, this is a guy that set himself up in a conapt full of sleepers that went from perfect little Corpo rats to insane angry psycho's the second anyone tried to zero Rache. He'd also been in contact with Alt, so she could have taught him how to migrate to the old Net already, assuming he didn't work out how himself lol. He's just been having too much fun out there, he's set Corpo against Corpo for sh*ts n giggles.

Well this is how I look at it, we got our "Firestorm Shockwave" in the events of the 2077 game. Ya know, a huge legendary adventure where we are the top gun. However, that's not how Cyberpunk normally is. Playing the table top, you are usually just a rough group of edgerunners. Sure they're our characters, but often they amount to nothing. This is what the Edgerunners anime represents. They're like our player groups from table top campaigns, they do cool things, have character arc and growth, and the risk of dying in a gig or messing up. I've had campaigns where the same thing happens, a group bites off way more than they can chew. Gets multiple of them killed etc. David became a legend though because he was leagues above others and stormed Arasaka on his own and died in a blaze of glory against Smasher. The same might happen for any TTRPG Edgerunner who's fortunate enough to grow that strong before dying.
Let me know your thoughts on the video and hopes for future Cyberpunk adventures! I hope to see you all at my live stream tomorrow!

If he wants to stay close enough to keep an eye on the action, but still be out from under convenient observation, I'd propose that partnering with nomads would be a good way to keep his skills in practice, and keep him in a lean, combat-capable state.
Well we do know Morgan has gotten thinner so isn't eating it up with the corpos
panam was morgan blackhand all along
Can't wait to see the new source book to learn more about Morgan Blackhand. It will be interesting to see what he has been doing since the nuke
When does it come out
Another reason why Mr. blueeyes can't ben Blackhand is because we meet him at the Afterlife. There is no way he could enter that place and not be immediately recognized.
ppl suspected he was in a different body, the mr.blue eyes body probably with a voice changer too and ofc without his signature black hand so that’s why they wouldn’t recognize him
Blueeyes is almost definitely a Proxy for someone mysterious, hence the glowing eyes that all activated Proxy folks have
@@sean1910 I don’t think Mike Pondsmith would want to just write off his self insert character like that. He definitely has some ideas for his reappearance in either Orion or the live action project
@@SkandiesWell it’s not really « his » character lol
Nova if we get to meet Blackhand in a future installment of 2077.
We got Silverhand, it only feels right we get Blackhand!
@@TooLeegitToQuit Amazing theory, friend!
Morgan Blackhand is the Character I wanted to see as both a Playable Character and Supporting Role in a potential "Cyberpunk" Prequel Game set somewhere around in the 1980's (similar to Johnny Silverhand's Role in "Cyberpunk 2077").
I wouldnt mind something like the flashback in Final fantasy 7 where Sephiroth is on your team just long enough to see his ridiculous power.
Pondsmith has played both Blackhand and Johnny. His personal character is actually RipperJack.
Said Merc is crazy hard and only comes in should you consistently kill the mercs hunting you down after 5 minutes keeping the wanted level up
I have the feeling Idris alba will end up being blackhand
Great video! I love the mystery of Morgan Blackhands whereabouts in 2077. I hope we get introduced to him at some point. I was hoping he was going to be who helped V in the expansion but it seems like that may be idris Elbas character instead
Solomon Reed might have some sort of connection with Blackhand though so we never know. As long as we see Blackhand in a sourcebook then Orion, I am satisfied for the most part. Thank you for watching choom I’m glad you enjoyed

I'd like to know what his relationship with silverhand was like and how he was able to go toe to toe with smasher
I plan on making a video about why he was so talented and what cyberware he had soon. However with Silverhand, he definitely wasn’t fond of him. He for the most part found Rockerboys obnoxious since they’d often be loud then just get themselves killed. He probably had some level of respect for Silverhand though
Very simple...he didn’t, he was shot fatally by smasher in that room fore spider Murphy hit him with soulkiller to save him.

Another great lore video! Ton of stuff I didn't know about from 2077
Glad you enjoyed! I'll keep these videos coming out and It's always nice having your support choom
Wasn't Morgan also very natural and shunned any unnecessary cybernetic modification? Made him a truly amazing Solo in an era where so many used/relied on technological enhancements to match his own exploits.
I always imagines Ron Pearlman as Morgan Blackhand. But I think Clooney fits the bill just fine.
I'd like to mention scott adkins as morgan
Hell noooooo
Jeffrey dean morgan
Quick note: Mike Pondsmith's character is Maximum Mike, a media-turned-DJ as of 2077. Morgan is just one of the characters he and his team made.
Imagine Blackhand being the beggar we've passed a hundred times on the streets asking for handouts
I love your deep dives! Thanks for the lore and game info.
I guess it depends on the setting. Mike Pondsmith wants George Clooney as blacksmith, so imagine a good budget blackhand show
May i say look at that view count i really hope these people start joining the convo and subscribing to your channel would be nice to hearing more view points and seeing more chooms!!
I would definitely like these types of videos to reach more people. That’s what everyone says on UA-cam though! I’m very happy with how my content is doing and I never expected to have such amazing people to interact with!
NIce summary once again, thanks. Looking forward to the new source book, might contain heaps of nice info about these characters :)
I really appreciate the support! This next sourcebook will be insane, filling in the gap between 2045 and 2076. There’s so much to reveal and we will finally be getting some answers to questions we’ve had the past 2 years
You know, I've NEVER noticed the black hand with the red markings in the shadow before at 8:21
The thing I don't understand is who took the nuke to arasaka tower and did they know they were going to kill a massive number of innocent people?
Didn't Morgan Blackhand have a friendship with Alt? If so, perhaps he's working with rogue AI to counter corporate empires?
Silverhand: "Gonna decom-ish before we learn how to rip the chip out."
V: (You don't care if I live.) "You wanted me dead. Said so yourself."
Silverhand: "Made it pretty clear that I changed my mind. Want you to live now.
V: (Asked you - what the hell do you want?) "I asked already... what the hell ya want from me?"
Silverhand: I got a get-outta-jail-free card. I'd be a fuckin' fool not to take advantage. See, me and Arasaka, we got a half-century-old score needs settling, and I plan to do it. That's what I need you for."
V: (For some ideal? Or to square a grudge?) "But why? Fightin' for some dated ideal? Pursuin' a personal vendetta?"
Silverhand: You don't need to know. Here to get me from point A to point B. Listen, I know things, where we can save your like, who can help us do that. Soulkiller's what we need and Mikoshi's how we grab it."
V: (Mikoshi - what's that, exactly?) "OK, so, this Mikoshi - what is it, exactly?"
Silverhand: OK, basics. If you're jacked in, cruisin' the Net, Arasaka can use Soulkiller, and AI, to trap, fry and pack away your psyche, your mind, and soul. Followin' so far?
This is the part of the conversation I wanted too bring to your attention, LayedBackGamers;
V: (Yep, saw what happened to you.) "Yeah, seen the memories - did a real number on ya."
Silverhand: OK...
@@LayedBackGamers This could have also been a narrative rabbit hole that didn't get fleshed out quite yet. But that's just speculation.

@@JohnnySilverwrench Got me looking forward to Sunday!
Man I hope we get to see him in action in the 2077 sequel, he’s somehow my favorite solo and we don’t even know what he looks like in the games 😂
reminds me of a theory kinda relating to johnny silverhand makes me think maybe blackhand altered the relic to erase himself from johnny's memories. I think someone else mightve brought this up cant remember who.
Maybe to give johnny a better chance of surviving in a new body by making him a better solo?
a covert solo? phantom liberty dealing with espionage? it sounds like perfect setup to bring back blackhand.
I'm looking forward to you including subtitles to your videos.
The beef between Adam smasher and Morgan black hand is basically John Henry
"I knew this rocker boy once who blew a whole fucking platoon of corpo trash" - Johny?
Some part of me wonders if the line about the Rockerboy blowing up an entire corporate platoon wasn't added in after the raid in 2023 by an unscruplous editor or publishing corp.
the are work looks exactly like one of the new characters in the phantom liberty dlc
The Luminous Being aka Mike Pondsmith is keeping Morgan in the MAtrix Train Station
I have a small feeling that Morgan Blackhand is being saved for the live action project.
I personally believe Spider is going to have a role to play in Phantom Liberty. So we should be getting more on her
8:04 probably the guy in the pod
Considering his dislike for heavy cyberware and the years that have passed since the arasaka fiasco, I would imagine he is either already dead, or way too old
Morgan blackhand is gonna be a shell of himself tired of fighting a never ending war against corpos
ive been thinking, and i think this guy might just have accidentally stumbled on the Cyberbvunk orion storyline
This must be why LMGs are hamstrung in the game. SOMEone doesn't want players to become the new Solo's Solo. At least they finally put an iconic one in Liberty.
CDPR getting Clooney to play Morgan Blackhand would be pretty cool.
It would definitely make Pondsmith very happy. Seeing as other big characters got huge actors, I’m sure they could pull it off
I could see blackhand being played by someone a bit rougher in face and personality. Maybe Josh Brolin because he did pretty good as cable
@@ChainsnrosesMy ideas for actors are Hugh Jackman, Brolin, RDJ or maybe Henry Cavill (especially Cavill because his care and attention to detail with the characters he plays is second to none these days)
They need a dlc of Morgan backhand
I only started playing cyberpunk this spring and my question is, even if blackhand did survive wouldn't he have died of old age by the time 2077 came around? he had barely any cyberware so how could his life expectancy be the same as someone like rogue per say.
If Mr Blue Eyes is not Blackhand, they should have David Lodge voice him
Pretty sure there is also a set of boots that mention MBH in their description. Some steel toe solo boots, I can't remember their name, but for some reason I thought they actually belonged to him.
Yeah there's a whole set choom! Can't remember the name off the top of my head either but who knows, maybe it did!
The biochip was meant for Blackhand originally.
i had a theory i could spend a good hour on, but i believe that adam smasher IS morgan blackhand. blackhand was in the rubbel and wreckage of arasaka, a place CRAWLING with corpo goons the second it fell, the capacity for morgan to escape that and a nuke is unlikely
where adam smasher might have let him go as some way of continuing their bout another time, arasaka has no such qualms, their cold hearted corporatism.
in addition the tower bombing is meant to be this last big hurrah for the old ways, the lawless chaotic streets and the rebel spirit vs cold hearted bureaucratic BS. smasher himself and morgan being avatars of that, its why johnnys death in firestorm has such weight, johnny is meant to be this living avatar of S,D & RnR, and he tosses himself on the swords of the enemy in typical rocker boy fashon to die a martyrs death to save his fellows.
so i wanna set the stage, the tower is gone, smasher lies dead, his broken body a tattered husk of its former owner, but largely intact. morgan is alive, but cannot fight back or even raise a finger. arasaka wants their new age still, they need smasher for that end to hunt down that free spirit and stamp it out. or at least keep it out of sight and mind (hence why he killed the edgerunners, nobodies really in arasakas grand scheme, but rebel youth who could rekindle the flame that guttered like a windblown candle by then).
so they take morgan, in silent, and shove his brain into adam smashers body, enslaving him, shackling him, a tormented soul, trapped in the body of his former enemy like a dog on a leash, the ultimate symbol of arasakas flawed and twisted ideals, needing a mortal man to help them with their metal and breakfast cereal brand future. a world where theyre house values antiquated ideals and outdated concepts, and stamps out anyone with new ideas be they rebel or mildly off script.
its why saburo has the whole carrying on by taking over his descendants bodies. saburo refuses to let go of these things, afraid of what the next generation might do, afraid of what lies beyond the bend for others when its none of his buisness.
and maybe.. id like to think johnny silverhand in 2077 has morgans memories as morgan/smasher visited him, and in a moment of clarity in makoshi shoved fragments of his soul, his mind into johnny's wether he knew it or not, as his way of saying thank you, of his way of saying goodbye, and that not all is lost, that someone wouldnt stomach them forever, flatten the place and steal johnny away, a alst desperate roll of the dice by zombified morgan
Speculation so far for this theory
V may be in the next cyberpunk for all we known and i wonder what v or Johnny says about morgan blackhand
Great video ✌🏿

Maybe he'll show up in project orion
Either Orion or some show / movie would be amazing
we know for sure that mr blue eye's model is the same model that was suppouse to be 2077 black hand.
That said... i dont think he is mr blue eyes rather just acting as the proxy or body for mr blue eyes which is probably an AI that is richard night.
Thier union and morgans dissapearance might have something to do with that night at arasaka tower.
Honestly I'd love to do some side quest where you help the girl in the books (now grown up) and she talks about her "grandpa" and eventually ya meet him on some lifesupport machine barley clinging onto life...I'd love something like this so when you fight smasher you can taunt him by telling him blackhands still alive and this just pisses off smasher who's thought blackhands been dead all this time
Damn this dident age well..
whats a bio pod ??
It’s basically a persons bio system when they become full Borgs. Which allows them to switch around bodies and all.
Blackhand is hiding from the cyberpunk 2077 writers....

In a fridge
Mr. Blue eyes is Morgan Blackhand. Or at least it’s a rogue A.I. that got his body.
BlueEyes model *is* named that yes. And there is an older version model in the game files.
But those were left behind from when Mike asked cdpr not to include Morgan.
They simply repurposed the npc model for the young version.
Waste not, want not as the old folks used to say (lol)
Personally, I think BlueEyes is Rache Bartmoss.

@@JohnnySilverwrench i did play 1.6 but i dont Care about an Shitty Anime about unlikable Chars . as for the Side quest i dont really remmeber doing then
Well this is how I look at it, we got our "Firestorm Shockwave" in the events of the 2077 game. The same might happen for any TTRPG Edgerunner who's fortunate enough to grow that strong before dying.
please improve your audio, the quality is god awful
