- Join Kevin as he chats with comedian Jim Jefferies (Legit, Fully Functional) about his stand up career leading to him creating his own television series. Jim discusses how Eddie Murphy's Delirious made him wish he was black, comparing mothers with Carrie Fisher, and that the Aussies are taking over Hollywood.
Jim Jeffries is without a doubt my favourite comedian of all time! It's been a long time since someone can make me laugh as much as he does!
instaBlaster
I could listen to Jim all day. This show could have gone 5 hrs and still would have been entertaining.
I've been a Jim Jefferies Fan for years now, Not a lot of people know it but he is truly the sweetest man and has a huge heart. He's absurd and says ridiculous shit but its all in the name of Comedy. He deserves the best and I hope his career continues to grow. If you don't like him, then you just don't get it and you're missing out ;) Love ya Jim.
I still side with you on doing the Glory Hole Challenge lol
Lady Jade I agree
I hadn’t ever seen him sober! I like this
Wow someone else who knows what the glory hole challenge is!
I have to agree I've loved Jim for years, I'm not a fan of his comedy central show, but I'm English, nor am I interested in politics so not much appeals to me on there. But his stand up, interviews and podcasts are always gold. Wish him and Eddie would make up and wish Legit came back for season 3.
As a Scotsman, I couldn't be prouder that foreign nationals get proper healthcare from my tax money. The NHS is the greatest thing the UK has and I'm more than happy that its care first, everything else second.
You sound like a great person, mate.
cmomofilm Yes, it's nice when another country pays for almost 50% of your healthcare, isn't it Mr. Scotsman?
awnnerd That, simply, is a comical lie. Our NHS is 100% devolved so the Scottish government can decide where to allocate funds. England makes more money from its NHS because you let your Government privatise large parts of it, hence there is overpriced, profit driven services. The Barnett formula means that when new funding is allocated, devolved policy areas such as NHS Scotland, receive a proportionate share. I'd love to see where you get your information from, Mr Englishman.
What on Earth makes you think somebody would have a preference for their taxes to be spent on somebody who may have been born in the same geographical vicinity as themselves over another who was born further afield. With your attitude, I for one would put you at the back of the queue!

Seeing Jim make the young lady cringe is gold, this world needs Jim!
You brought back a memory I had not thought of for years! When you talked about your name change and how all three of you have different last names. I had gone across the border into Winterpeg with my six year old son to take him to a planetarium show. We were whisked right across the border into Canada. On our return there was a problem getting back in to the states. I did not have any identification for my son. We had never needed them in the past. They said we need to take the child into an interview room because we need to assess that he is your son as you claim. The border patrol escorted him away from me into a room and I was standing there trying to figure out how I was going to prove he was my child and that I was not abducting Canadian children to whisk into the United States. The next thing I heard was loud laughter from the room and the entire border patrol gob smacked. Apparently the first thing they asked was “Are you traveling with your Mom?” He answered “yes.” Then they asked how do we know you are telling the truth and that you are not from Canada? He apparently snapped to attention, placed his hand on his heart, and began in a serious, firm, loud voice to flawlessly recite the entire pledge of allegiance. They burst out laughing and said “We can rule out that he is Canadian!”
around 1 hour 6 minutes. I'm a British citizen and this story about the NHS made me proud and contrary to the hosts strangely certain statement - I did like hearing that story. Very much
+Goodererful it wasn´t the host but his stupid sidekick nontheless an incredible stupid thing to say i´m german and we have pretty much the same system and never understood the resistance to public healthcare theres hardly any better way to spend tax money than on public healtcare
Omg I can listen to that guy talking for daysssss!!!!! :) He's so charismatic, smart, cute, funny and ADORABLEEEE.. :) He definitely should be waaaaay more famous! :)
Fantastic show as always. One of your best interviews yet, Jeffries is brilliant in this format and on stage. Love the show and thank you for posting them for everyone to learn and enjoy.
Best guest you could have hoped for, for the fifth anniversary XD
one of the funniest guys on the planet!..along with CK Louis and Ricky Gervais!
Ok, haven' heard of him, will explore this guy!
Sam Tan correct, burr is a genius
@@mrartboy1Check out his Alcoholocaust show, it's amazing stand up. If you like risky comedy and good stories he's amazing.
The bloke you'd be happy to be left with in the pub alone, just so you can let him ramble on.
Jaime seems to dislike him.
I think this is by far the best episode of Kevin's show. Jim's deeply funny.
Doug Erhard she doesn't. it's a lot to take in first go. she enjoyed the cup cake bit.
I'm from Bulgaria and I think that people will really appreciate Jim's comedy if he ever decides on an international tour.
I loved the awkwardness of the Dan Harmon interview, and I loved Jaime and Ben Schwartz flirting, those were probably my favourite episodes.
Yes, the Ben Schwartz episode is so underrated.
1:06:45 - I'm British, and I think most other British people are pretty happy to spend a few pounds a year providing emergency treatment anybody that needs it. Be pretty embarrassed if we had hospitals that turned away or tried to charge people who needed seeing.
Unless those receiving treatment are immigrants, even more so if they aren't white.
What? What difference does it make? Considering that the NHS is propped up by an immigrant workforce, would be odd to be a racist douchebag about it.
Simon Everett Tell that to the EDF, BNP and UKIP
I'm far too scared of their sense of reason. Every country has their idiots, a vast majority of British people seem to be very proud of what the NHS does and has done for people.
I wanted to write a comment on the same thing. Americans don't seem to understand these type of things. I explained a Canadian once the benefits of Government controlled health insurance. He was so surprised. He actually sold health insurance to companies as an employee benefit. He questioned the socialist system of government controlled insurance as if often the case in Europe. I explained him I was happy to pay a bit extra to have the European system, because I want good health care for everybody. So when I would be in a need of extra care I would be happy that I could rely on it. I don't want insurance companies be occupied with evaluating peoples risk profiles and determining if health care is related to pre-conditions. Insurance companies should accept everybody blindly, because then it becomes a risk factor that is calculated for everybody and they don't spend money on pre-screening and lawyers. For a young healthy person he might be able to get a better deal, but in general everybody is better off. Seriously, he was quiet.
So I am totally with you. I would be proud too! Its interesting how religious Americans are and how little they care about taking care of their fellow human beings. All for one and God for us all.
I'm a Brit and i'm happy my tax money funds the NHS for anybody at anytime.
Just human decency.
+jimmy2k4o agreed 1:06:51 an incredible stupid and arrogant thing to say
I no longer believe this, I believe it's human deceny to provide for yourself rather than getting the state to tax people who made good decisions to make up for you bad ones, also the NHS is dreadfully inefficiant, the care is horrible, in 2017 we should be able to have something better.
So, don't care for other Human beings because I can imagine they might be assholes?
Man 2 hours felt too short. I could listen to Jim all day
Fantastic !! Jim rocks. not everyones cup of tea but he is mine and i think hes brilliant! although Jamie looks a little unimpressed with a few comments lol
This interview is laugh out loud funny. Thanks for the show.
havent heard the entire group laugh so hard other than this interview.. its a truly a good one.
1:46 Here, on our fifth anniversary..." and I thought he was going to say "and four years running - for what? I don't know." lol
Best show yet. Love Jim Jefferies.
Jim should be way more famous
+Peter Reid I completely agree.
Seriously, what is with this woman? If she finds swearing so offensive, and heavy accented opinionated Australians so offensive, she needs a new career.
shane parry She look like one of those UA-cam feminist who think rape is bad.
+shane parry That's just her resting face. She's watchin' South Park, apparently.
I absolutely love Jim Jefferies, and he's a guest on youtube's best interview/talk show :D
27:38 Patrice was SOOOOOO GOOD!!!:)
+michael mattice Patrice, Jim AND Louis CK. Fucking insane.
Paul Thoresen Completely agree!!!:)
Thank you so much I enjoyed very much
Nice, now if I ever meet Jim we could talk baseball. Well, except I'm also a Giants fan.
Jim Jeffries is such an interesting guest on any podcast/show.
When they said "you thought he was dead" about Patrice a part of me got so sad man. Love you Jim, miss you Patrice.
NETFLIX, if you are reading this, get in touch with Jim and beg him to create another series of 'Legit'.
It WILL sell.
FXX seem not to be interested.
42:10 'No! That's Ted's job!' SOOOOO FUNNY!!!:)
You forgot Dana Carvey. By far your best guest ever! SMH!
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, I watch that league here in SoCal. My team is the Lake Elsinore Storm!!! Fun league to watch.
why people that do not like this guy take the time to comment on this video .... ????
Or take the time to watch it? Then again, maybe they didn't watch it. If they did then maybe they'd hate him less
Get rid of the Comedy Central show and bring back Legit!
she's always straight faced guys. she liked the cupcake thing.
It took 7 tries and 1 and a half hours before Sammy got a laugh from an interjection. nearly derailed a great interview at 2 points. go higher on the shelf man.
Jeez, Pollack's girlfriend is really creepy.
Wow those glasses........ looks like the back end of a 57 Chevy Bel Air
Why is that chick sitting at the table so miserable?
Because Pollak is her partner.
When they talk sports her life flashes before her eyes.
Love his tv show
yay jim jeffries ! he goes to the same church as i do .
is the female co-host trying to look like my grandmother?
Jim’s on at 6:50
Would you please put the Anna Faris episode up again? Or at least explain to viewers why it was taken down?
Who is the gorgeous, uptight nerd lady?
1:03:00 is a damn good joke lol
1:14:35 ... No Kevin... Argentina isnt a Town, its a country.
JIM is at 6:50
So, I'd really love some answer here, if anyone could: Why Bayonne? I grew up there and it's so small and 'unknown', but comes up in Hollywood/show business reference more often than it should. War of the Worlds was partially filmed there, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, as well. Bayonne High School from that one music video back in the 90s, American Reunion had FInch working at the Staples in Bayonne, NJ and now Chatshow brings it up on the Kevin Pollak show?! What's going on here?
Seriously, I just don't get it, despite spending the first 23 years of my life there. What's the Hollywood/show-biz connection to Bayonne, NJ?
PS. Incidentally, if Jim was seeing the Statue of Liberty (technically in NJ waters, by the way) he was likely in Jersey City or Hoboken, especially with the Weehawken Ferry right there in Port Imperial (though, that might technically be Edgewater city limits).
Thanks, that could be it. Because when Kevin says it, he gives that knowing look to someone off camera, as if checking if they get the reference. That's why I figured there was some significance to him saying Bayonne and not just picking it randomly. This could be it, though I'd still love an answer from someone on the show if they knew for sure.
Still, your answer is much appreciated and will definitely sate my curiosity for now haha.
pete and pete? mark mulcahy did the theme tune i think. never seen the show but love mark mulcahy. just thought i'd say....
Kevin read my T5! #proud #kevinpollak #kpcs
My oldest son died from Diabetes 2 and his feet and half way up his legs were black with poison and very scary to see
lol the intro!
1:14:35 Kevin, Argentina is a country, not a town!
Hey just wanted to chime in coz I'm a Geordie so I'm from Newcastle England. was cool to get a mention being such a tiny little city but jesus, Jim cant do the accent, he sounds Welsh. which is actually cool coz I pride myself on being able to do accents and I'm fucked if I can do an ozzy one haha!
Would love to have been there on the day for that joke!
Oh my god this dudes intros are killing me
Onya, Jim :)
Oh..tell a lie, she smiled.
1:27:45 in hindsight it all makes sense.
i didnt get the joke where he was like "noone can follow me"
The part at 1:03:00 was funny as shit.
1:03:54, if a look could kill..................................................
what happened to the anna faris interview , legal problems ?
Good boxer
WOW, I wasn't expecting an X-rated interview! Kinda gross, too raw for my taste...otherwise amusing. He does a good Cliff Claven.
Pilgrim Boy! Aquabats!
hey i'm far over 40 and i still have problems letting people speak their whole sentence
Cool interview. But it would be even better if Kevin had a better sense of when NOT to talk. His guest gets on a roll, and he interjects - crap. Or his own thoughts. This sort of show is not about the host. Again, still enjoyed it..but just saying.
Jimmy The Editor
whats the part in the tina fey film?
she´s not amused
woke up during the cupcake-talk thou
+Carl-Fredrik L yeah cause she's probably one of those gals who think cooking is still the only proper occupation for women...........................smh
I loved the KPCS and miss it. I don't know the chick's name, but she is clearly radiating hatred at Jefferies.
How about this? The reason why "dead babies" get into heaven is because God could foresee they would accept Him when they are old enough to have the free choice. In the Bible there are no child baptisms.
1:03:55 damn..that look lol
wait, is that Todd Hockney??
yes.
That looks like Pat Roach.
"Moscow Kulaks" lets you know Jim isn't a lightweight
22:18 is that the midget from freaks and geeks?
Yep
>Argentina
>home-town
slaps head
Why does Nick Dipaolo hate Jim and calls him unfunny?
ONE PERSON HAS NO SENSE OF HUMOR
can't these guys get better audio? its horrible.....loved the episode, ill watch more of their vids, but the audio did piss me off.
Is that the guy form Freaks and Geeks?
Yup
what the hell ever happened to that series that Jim was doing? is that still a thing?
1:29:35
Jamie and Sam add nothing and detract from the show 99% of the time. What is she doing now so I can avoid it
Is Michael mcintyre the biggest comedian in the world? Always thought he was only big in the UK. Guys not even funny.
Why is that woman wearing clown glasses? And why is the guy next to her making wounded hyena noises?
Jimothy Jefferies
Seriously, what is the point of the 2 other people? They add NOTHING to the show even, dare I say it, take away from the show. Always chipping in, interrupting the guest or Kevin, with a story or comment that has nothing to with what they are talking about. They're not so bad here, but they were awful in the Bill Burr one. If they are researchers or producers to the show, keep them off the show. They're a background function. Anyway, Jim Jeffries was good. I always like his stories. But the stories about his family make me uncomfortable. It sounds like he reveals too much about them....!
$6.99 for a pack of smokes? when is this from, the 80s?!
+geekgroupie42 depends what state, Rhode Island they are 8
Stephen Aylward that's it, i'm moving to America. They are about $20 a pack in Australia!
+geekgroupie42 in the 80's a pack of smokes where around $1.50 in the US that's when everyone smoked here
blueshirt06 I should have said the 90s, either way they are much more expensive in Australia
+geekgroupie42 - you can get a pack of smokes for between one to five bucks in China...and they're good, no joke.
6:48
sorry!..Louis CK..!
you're losing it. olo your son.
The woman looks like she`s not amused by his material.
What is up with woman?
Aw, the eternal question.
ggg
