Prince was a huge, huge Chaka fan, loved performing with her. Prince didn't often let other performers take over the performance, but he definitely let Chaka take the spotlight when they were together. Chaka is still awesome, she did an NPR 'Tiny Desk' performance w/in the last year and it was phenomenal. Thank you, Harri!
I’m a 69 year young Caucasian guy, and I still get teary faced when I see and hear Prince…his earthly walk was so precious and profound. God only knows why, his time was so abbreviated, and in my belief, incomplete. Chaka is brilliant, and with Prince they were beyond exquisite. RIP dear man, I know you’re entertaining angels!
Woah, that was a phenomenal performance…I’m completely blown away! Thanks so very much for this amazing submission, Belen. Many thanks, Harri, for your happy reaction.
Belen, I thoroughly enjoyed your gift submission. I had never seen or heard it before. These two greats are among my favorites through the years. Bravo to both you and Harri.👏👏
@davebzen795 I felt the same when I found this performance online. I had never seen them perform together and just hearing his incredible guitar solo and then Chaka with her powerhouse voice I was elated!! Glad you enjoyed it and hope you have a fabulous and safe New Year! 😁🥂
Thanks for the great reaction Harry. I can't believe you lived so close to this venue and missed this performance!! I would have flown across the Atlantic to see these two. 😂 This has always been a favorite song of mine and I really enjoyed how they mixed it up and gave it a sort of Caribbean vibe. Happy New Year to you and all the "Besties"!!😂🥂🎉
@@iandowney4630 Oh, you're right. I was mixing up the two songs. The whole time I'm watching Prince playing it.. I was thinking that he was grooving it so hard because he knows it inside out because he wrote it. While he's grooving it so hard because.. THAT'S HOW HE ROLES😎💜 Chaka is my Princess. They're a match made in Heaven in this...
Prince didn’t write I Feel for You for Chaka. He wrote it for himself and released it on his album Prince. But Chaka had also heard it and released her version (as a single I believe) and it charted hence it became associated with her. Prince didn’t seem to be too mad 😂 - he didn’t like artists covering his songs - and worked with Chaka throughout his career
@@rel5401 I didn’t think he wrote it for her… I just knew he wrote the song. Thanks for the additional info. I’m sure that he didn’t mind Chaka doing a cover of it ;)
What an amazing performance! Fantastic request and delightful commentary! Thanks Harri and Belen 🌸💐✌️
Her voice is so unique and recognizable, very powerful and it just hits my soul!
U can't go wrong with either of these artists...great song!!!😊

I'm glad you enjoyed it Ian! I just can't believe Harri was 20 minutes away and missed this performance! 😂🤦♀️
@ I know! I would have loved to have been there 😍🥳💫
The original version of this song was popular as heck with r&b fans back in the 70's. Props to PRINCE!
Chaka's voice is a powerful instrument.🔥❤R.I.P Prince!
Oh what a pair to sing together, I love them both. Thank you Belen and Harri.
Prince! Chaka! 😃
REAL TALENT!
What. A. Jam.
Was lucky enough to see them play together in the late 90s.
I remember a friend turned me on to Rags to Rufus, when I was like 13; great funky music!!🎸🎸🎶🎵🎙🎙
A-maze-ing!!!❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥

I had said the studio version was better ...oh hellll no, this is 🔥🔥 9
Did you know that Prince wrote this song for Chaka?
@@pureenergy5136 I think Prince wrote “I Feel For You”, not “Sweet Thing”.

@ No worries, I get things mixed up all the time! Both Prince and Chaka are music royalty. That’s all anyone needs to know ;)
