Can’t believe I’d never seen this documentary before. Watching it in 2023 and seeing Sean so vibrant and alive, it is really difficult to imagine he would be mortal enough to age and die. RIP Sir Thomas Sean Connery.
I had the great honor of being a friend of Sean Connery"s. We originally met at Riviera Country Club back in the late 1960s. In the 1980s and 1990s I played a lot of golf with Sean at Riviera and Bel Air CC and we were in a business venture together. I am so thankful that there will always be videos, such as this, to remind me of the great man he was and the inspiration he provided to all of us to become better and make a difference in the world. He was truely one of the great ones!

It's a great privilege to celebrate what can be called "rare talent." In some artists, their love for what they do comes across with great clarity making them extremely memorable. Mr Connery is one of them RIP, Sir. Thanks for uploading.
I never was a fan of James Bond movie's but I am of the man who played him. Mr. Sean Connery always carried himself well. Striking good looks , sultry manly voice and that accent was so buttery. He was who he was and didn't let fame change him. And for that I admire him. Hollywood didn't make him he made Hollywood. He was among some of the last real male stars of stature and grace. He was truly one of a kind. RIP Mr. Sir Connery
Oh my God, I thought I was the only one. Same here! I like the idea of a suave British secret service agent as Fleming created him in his novels, but the movies in particular really are a reflection of a different time, whether it comes to violence, gender roles, politics... At the time of course, it was pioneering art and science of filmmaking, not to mention a never-before seen phenomenon of entertainment! But without Connery's unique combination of natural nonchalance, cleverness, charisma, beauty, humor, coolness yet determination ... , you really see how flat some of the characters and how expectable some of the dialogs are. I guess that's the bottom of this love-hate-relationship: Sean Connery made James Bond a global phenomenon, just like James Bond made Sean Connery a global phenomenon. The two couldn't have become who they were without each-other. Anyways, I'm incredibly lucky that this gifted, hard-working, self-made man was provided with the ultimate platform to become everything he wanted to be and show what a fantastic, multi-faceted artist he truly is.
Loved him since I saw Him as James Bond in “You only Lived Twice “. I was 10 yrs old. He was my first crush! And that remained even after his death... RIP Sir Sean... enjoy your after life. You are going to be missed . Thank you so much for entertaining the whole world! I love this beautiful hearted real gentleman! Praying for your lovely wife and family, Scotland, I am so sorry for your loss!
Sean Connery aged well because he was comfortable in his own skin. He wasn’t a shallow man who did everything possible to hold on to his youth. He accepted aging as a natural part of life and seemed to pay little attention to the natural aging process. He was sexy at every age because he accepted his humanity.
I met Sean Connery over 30 years ago in Argentina when he was working on Highlander 2. My partner was his director. Never was there a more gorgeous down to earth kind man than Sean. He took time over that week to indulge my girlish crush by inviting me to the set and dinners and golf.Sir Sean Connery was the epitome of what a man should be. I love you Sean, everyone does.
Enormously inspiring! Makes you recall your definite purpose in life. What I would remember well of Sean Connery when he said: “ You have to set your priorities and you’ll be fun to be with.” He’s one of the greatest guy I’ve ever witnessed. The charisma, talented, his wisdom, had a golden heart to improve the lives of his fellowmen, the way he speak with passion, intellectually humorous, the way he carried himself and confidently being himself. That's one of a kind!
Naw...when men lose their hair, it takes away from their youthfulness...I would say he is distinguished looking...but you see a lot of older men who have that going on...The Connery of the 1960s was certainly handsome in the very extreme!
Very informative. I came to know more about Sean Connery. Personally, I have accepted the fact that he is a great actor and I love his aura as an actor. I think then, when he was portraying James Bond in the films, that he was great, but realized only now that he has never been a problem actor at work and was so level headed and humble, unlike the big star bratty attitude that actors suddenly turned out to be when they become big stars. He is until now, one of my favorite actors. God bless him.
What a delightful Scot. His movies are terrific, he's been very successful in his career, he is charitable, he and his wife have a very happy, loving, sexy relationship, they have raised some great kids, but mainly Sean is a good man who enjoys his life. I don't think any of us can ask for more than that. I thank Sean for all the pleasure his movies have given me. The way I determine if a movie is good is very simplistic. Do I want the blasted thing to just get over--as I have gotten older, I have walked out of MANY of today's movies after five minutes--or do I want the movie to NEVER end. Have the characters become so life like that I no longer think of the person playing the character as Sean Connery but the person Sean is playing has become REAL. I never want Sean's movies to end. He is a STAR, a true LEGEND.
Sean Connery is James Bond and the quintessential man. No vanity and no BS... he is and will be the standard in many ways others will be measured by always.😎

Marnie was one of his best roles...marvelous acting...Great chemistry with Tippi Hedren..I have to say,I can't believe how little he made per pic, compared to the stars of today..
I feel sad that Sean will depart from this world one day. When that day comes, he will leave a huge void behind that no actor and no-one will ever be able to fill. I will watch all of his movies again and cry my eyes out knowing that this will truly be the end of an era. Respect to this giant of cinema.
Nice to see him giving a decent length interview. They seem to be so few and far between. Clearly a very private man. His Bonds are still without equal and as other have mentioned mesmerising to watch him on the big screen.
Mostly striking is his humbleness added to his all wonderful characteristics makes him even more desirable. No none sense. That's Very attractive in a Superstar. Great documentation. Thank you very much for sharing with us. 🌹👍🏻
His eyes, smile, voice--his everything-chrisma-his everything. Sexy movement and charm. I have loved him since I was a young girl. No other man in Hollywood has ever come close to him !!!
I love the fact that he never apologised for being himself, he had his own opinions & if you didn't like them, tough luck. As far as we were concerned in Scotland, he should have been king. And he made ordinary people feel like they could accomplish anything & that we too shouldn't be afraid to express ourselves as individuals. He was a real man of the people. Thanks for making our country so proud, Sean.
I've always loved and admired Sean Connery. I love all the same attributes he possesses that all his admirers seem to be attracted to. But after watching this profile of his life, I love his insight, wit and humanity....and his wonderful accent! He's one of my favorite actors in all his movies aside from his interpretation of James Bond! Thank you for providing this!
Connery is under rated as an actor. He always looked like he knew what he was doing in front of a camera. He took risks with his roles and his career went into something of a decline before he re-established himself firmly in the 1980's. He is a consistently committed and intelligent actor.
He took "risks" by taking his time on camera. It was timing and rhythm he brought to his characters that knocked your socks off! He had the extraordinary ability to get the audience to "breathe" with him.
Oh Oh (hand raised in the air like a school girl), I loved him in Raiders of the Lost Ark as the father of Harrison Ford! Lovely funny, warm and delightful
Sean Connery IS James Bond . Ian Fleming wrote Dr. No in the 50's and in 1962 the first Bond Movie made was " Dr . No " with Ursulla Andres as the first " Bond Girl .

It's a great privilege to celebrate what can be called "rare talent." In some artists, their love for what they do comes across with great clarity making them extremely memorable. Mr Connery is one of them RIP, Sir. Thanks for uploading.
Beautifully done. Just delightful. Thank you for keeping him alive.
Praying
for your lovely wife and family, Scotland, I am so sorry for your loss!
Sean is one who is a straight shooter......no fluff....one who did whatever it took to make things work...
Sir Sean Connery,Marlon Brando,Alfrendo Pachino, the sir Antony Hopkins,Paul Newman ..there where some of the greatest actors have ever been
Rising Sun is his most underrated movie.
Sean Connery aged well because he was comfortable in his own skin. He wasn’t a shallow man who did everything possible to hold on to his youth. He accepted aging as a natural part of life and seemed to pay little attention to the natural aging process. He was sexy at every age because he accepted his humanity.
Truer words have never been spoken!
He's like a fine wine, asTime goes by the better he becomes in every way!
P..,

Yeah, it’s funny when Connolly said even the men gasp in Sean’s presence.
What a beautiful man - wanting to help others re.education.- He has always been my favourite James Bond - he comes over as a genuine person.
👍🇬🇧👍
Today's a sad day, Sir Connery was great actor and a Lovely human being! RIP Sir Connery. You will be sadly missed. 🙏🙏
Authentic to the bone, Sean Connery. Nothing fake to see.
Just like the legend I grew up
In the same neighbourhood as him, I'm very proud of that.👍
Sean Connery you are the best looking man in the world since you're older you even look more beautiful love you black girl in Indiana
Naw...when men lose their hair, it takes away from their youthfulness...I would say he is distinguished looking...but you see a lot of older men who have that going on...The Connery of the 1960s was certainly handsome in the very extreme!
Truly a man's man
Very informative.
Best bond ever, he had no competitors , RIP son of Scotland 🏴
What can I say he is so handsome I love that Scottish voice brilliant actor 💓

No vanity and no BS... he is and will be the standard in many ways others will be measured by always.😎

he is a good family man sean, jason is his double.a legend that other actors admire.
Rest in peace Sean. Your job is done. Amen.
A charesmatic legend left us!
90y, what an age!
What a magnificent profile piece and what a great man.
The Hill is the best damn movie Sean Connery ever made. He should have received the Oscar for his performance in that great film.
Did you end up crying your eyes out?
@@MichaelCorleone654 I did, thank you. Compassion and empathy are good emotions which define us as human beings.
I actually wasn’t a huge fan of the Bond films but I’ve always loved Sean Connery .... what a man!!
one of my favorite actors.
Such a classy man. Just loved him as an actor. After watching this, he seemed like a wonderful, down-to-earth human as well.
Many a man played James Bond but Sean Connery IS James Bond!
He had class on camera. Off camera, he was an ass.
Fantastic documentary.
Nice to see him giving a decent length interview. They seem to be so few and far between. Clearly a very private man. His Bonds are still without equal and as other have mentioned mesmerising to watch him on the big screen.
Am a nurse and his poster was in 3 nursing stations (the females had good taste😊)
One adjective I didn't hear is humble for Connery is this, too.
The Hill and The Offence are his two best for me
Love Sean Connery!
I shall miss Sean Connery, RIP.
Wonderful documentary of a very special actor/human being !!!! Loved it. Thank you for posting this, David Bell.
God bless You Sean Connery, my favorite actor RIP
I've always loved and admired Sean Connery. I love all the same attributes he possesses that all his admirers seem to be attracted to. But after watching this profile of his life, I love his insight, wit and humanity....and his wonderful accent! He's one of my favorite actors in all his movies aside from his interpretation of James Bond! Thank you for providing this!
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
Connery is under rated as an actor. He always looked like he knew what he was doing in front of a camera. He took risks with his roles and his career went into something of a decline before he re-established himself firmly in the 1980's. He is a consistently committed and intelligent actor.
hes really underrated.
@@emmanuelmondesir1314 not at all.
In no univese is he UNDER rated.
He took "risks" by taking his time on camera. It was timing and rhythm he brought to his characters that knocked your socks off! He had the extraordinary ability to get the audience to "breathe" with him.
Wow, great video. Thanks for posting.
Oh Oh (hand raised in the air like a school girl), I loved him in Raiders of the Lost Ark as the father of Harrison Ford! Lovely funny, warm and delightful
No your wrong Sean Connery was in the Last Crusade as the father of Harrison Ford.
@@christopherbeasley8998 No you're wrong he was the father of Henry Jones Jr.
Sean Connery IS James Bond . Ian Fleming wrote Dr. No in the 50's and in 1962 the first Bond Movie made was " Dr . No " with Ursulla Andres as the first " Bond Girl .
David Agronsky the movie called, it was very good movie, Ursula undress play that movie.
Technically, Timothy Dalton rendition was closer to the novel and Craig is a close second.
also changed back story to make bond half scottish, because of Mr Connery
